An introduction to Mengku area 

Here is a debried of my recent trip to Mengku, a famous Pu-erh tea area located in the West of Yunnan Province, China.
During this five-day trip, I explored the main tea producing villages and gathered information on tea production from a variety of actors.
Mengku is heavily specialized in tea production. Two main mountain ranges form the bulk of the tea production; they each have their own particularities in terms of soil characteristics and varietals.
Bingdao is the most famous village of Mengku, it commands the highest price of all the famous tea mountains of Yunnan. However, there is much more to find in Mengku than overhyped tea. Many villages produce exquisite Pu-erh tea at high altitude.
Through this video, we explore the different factors that make Mengku a remarkable region that every Pu-erh tea enthusiast should study.
