Had this older short heavy-set woman on my right in a game the other day who kept talking and talking and talking. Non-stop talking. I believe she was manic. I asked the floor to bring me $150 in $5 chips in exchange for six twenty-five dollar chips. She started to blurt out that you can't do that or something to that effect and I leaned over towards her and very firmly told her that I did not need her help with anything. She was quiet for about 1 minute and then continue talking the rest of the night. It has been my experience that the players who talk the most have the weakest game because they are insecure. By constantly talking they give themselves a false sense of security. It's probably best to just let them talk. They usually give up all kinds of tells about their game.

I get anglers all the time! Fuckin cant stand people unwilling to play the game square. All good bro. In the end, solid play, experience, and respect will weed thru all the snakes and eventually even help to have many of the more experienced dealers looking out for you when the time comes. I got a guy soooo good recently, who tried angling and betting out of turn (all of a sudden) on the river... I had the nuts and called him out when he Bet, like "bro, what are doing? Why are you betting when you know its on me?". He pulls back, I check, he checks... I say "why are you checking now? Thats binding" He then shows his hand lmao... Dealer interjects... Sir that is binding (he had 8s on a 4-flush spade board) he tries to wiggle out and hope ill flip cause he did. Eventually puts in his $40 binding bet... I snap re raise to $250 while talking a lot of shit about how everything he did was calculated (I really give these people the business as far as talking a whole lot of shit... like we're in the streets! I police that motherfucker when I'm putting $$$ on the felt) He tanks and finally calls and I show him the Ace of spades, and tip the dealer $25 for handling the situation exactly correct.

@8:30 mark, so you raise on flop when he jus fires a small continuation bet, which I like. He only flat calls you, you both check turn and river you make 2nd pair with top kicker and gold to 125 bet? That’s a snap call. If ge has a king gg, but he can easily have q10. Anytime hero 3x pre and someone leads into you pre they are on draw, bluffing or trying to set their price. I jus don’t get why you fold. Think your hand thru bro, I’m not a pro but I’m jus telling you my thoughts.
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 9 месяцев назад
He's never betting QT on River for that price. $125 is like 4 hours of your winrate, snap calling and saying if he has a K that's just GG then isn't great, but calling and hoping he has the last 2 combos of QTs is a bit optimistic.
@jwilliams6002
@jwilliams6002 9 месяцев назад
The only situation I think you need to be more mindful about, is assuming he has $220 behind. Part of your job, as a player is to protect your hand and stack. Unfortunately, in that situation, you have nobody to blame, but yourself. Always ask how much behind, that way you have a leg to stand on, if a grossly incorrect amount is stated. Lesson learned, for a couple hundred bucks. I believe you, when you say he was hiding the quarter chips, but that's why you ask....how much behind? The other instances are garbage. Although, I have a question about the mucked hand, that hadn't made it to the muck. Was it retrievable?
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 9 месяцев назад
I only ask how much behind when I can't just look myself and gauge it quickly. People get really nasty when you ask sometimes. It was retrievable, but he chucked it across the line, and the dealer had collected it. If he was on the opposite end of the table closer to the muck it would've already been mucked, I don't think retrievable rule is really "fair" if you fold when opponent shows, it's folded. I did the same in an earlier vlog where I placed my cards, not even other the line, the dealer didn't touch them, I realized I had a full house, tabled my cards and the dealer said hand was dead, I didn't argue, I just asked if the guy didn't mind if he won the pot, but I got to keep the extra all in bet, I think that was fair.

Why do you make the assumption that he was hiding the chips when he was holding them in his hand? In the video footage, even the camera can see the other chips in the player's hand. If you're a professional player then you should know how much the effective stacks are from preflop in order to get your bet sizes correct throughout the hand. No experienced player is jamming that river without being certain of how much their opponent has in their stack - and what worse hands are you expecting to call when you have a 3-high flush on a paired board? By your own admission you tried to take back your all-in once you realized that the other player had more behind - that's pretty much the only genuine angle in this entire vlog. In your commentary and in the video graphics for this action you state you are all in, and in the summary at the end you claim you were not. So which is true? In the KJ hand, how is it an angle for the SB to call out of turn? If anything, that helped you fold when you had the worst hand, and the SB gained nothing from calling out of turn. If they thought they were ahead of you (which they were) then they would want to keep you in the hand, and if you had been ahead of them then they could have lost an additional bet to you unnecessarily. I know all the regulars at this club and none of them would genuinely ask you for $50 for building a pot. If that happened, it was either a joke that you picked up wrong, or an unfortunate interaction with a player who does not play there regularly. In the latter case - there are asshats like that in games everywhere. If you can't handle that, or deal with players leading into you and/or giving you bad beat stories, then you're going to struggle playing live poker. When you play hands like 95 suited (limped in the small blind) and 32 suited - then get coolered and blame the other players for your loss, it's completely absurd and actually genuinely hilarious. Yes, the dealers deal all table games etc but they are all trained to deal poker and have all been poker dealers for years. I have been playing there at least twice a week for 18 months and the dealers are very good. The game is usually great action and there are a great bunch of regular players there. If you played there more than once you would have realized that. It's a little foolish to make conclusions about the entire player pool and characteristics of a game/casino after playing only one six-hour session there, and then express those opinions like they're factual on RU-vid to the poker-playing community - anyone with a grain of common sense can see how weak and unreliable those claims are. People don't want to watch vlogs about people bitching about the location, players and how badly their session went. It's also not a good idea to start criticizing and insulting players (calling them broke losers etc) when they are clearly identifiable to regulars at the casino. Not only that, but recording at this casino is strictly prohibited and you were in breach of the casino rules with recording this vlog - presumably you didn't ask the floor for permission as they would have clarified that for you immediately. I hope you can learn from this feedback and do better in the future.
@BluffaloSam
@BluffaloSam 9 месяцев назад
Might have been a bit tilted about all these things when I made this video, but I was never all in vs the player, I put $300 in which I thought covered his $220, and I assumed he was angling, because of the fact he grabbed his cards from the dealer to table them after he mucked them. The table didn't like that. The man that asked me for $50 was genuinely asking for it, he did not like it when I said I wasn't giving it to him. I had bad experience with the dealers, they never called pit over once, the man that pulled the cards from the dealer and tabled them, the dealer changed after that, and asked the next dealer what she thought of it, and she said she didn't know either. Another instance of that was a lady to my left started racking up her chips to play her last hand, and after the cards had been dealt the dealer told her the $1,000 in the rack was no longer in play for that hand. I really didn't have a good experience here overall, sorry if this wasn't a good impression of your overall experiences as you've played here much more than I have. To the man that called out of Turn, I have no idea what that angle was supposed to be, but I had asked him to move his hands so I could count his chips before I made my decision, and he called before I acted, and before the player to his right had acted. Idk what he was trying to gain out of it, maybe trying to make me fold what he thought was a better hand by being very confident, but he knew action wasn't on him. Once again, sorry if this wasn't what you wanted to watch, but I'm sharing my experiences where I play, as I felt them.

@@BluffaloSam So just to be clear your argument is that this guy leads the river for $60, whilst keeping half of his remaining stack hidden in his other hand (from the turn) in the hope that you go all-in without realizing that he has more behind? Do you really think people think this in-depth about their actions or would deliberately hide chips in the hope that you're gonna go all-in because you think they have a smaller stack? It's obviously not an angle and if you are a professional player you should know how much the effective stacks are from the start of the hand. In the summary at the end you clearly state that 'whatever he leads you are just gonna jam all in': ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fG7ty-S9ubU.html and that you said that 'this is all in' - then a little later you say that you said to the player that you 'put him all in and can only win as much as your stack' - and you're still claiming that you didn't state you were all in? Can you give more information on the player that asked you for the $50 - age/nationality etc? A player's hand isn't dead when it is over the line and if hands go over the line but can be easily retrieved and identified then they are still live. That is the rule in most casinos. I have never seen a dealer at Elements stop a player from playing out of a rack when they are racking up to leave - and I have many many hundreds of hours of play there. You have no idea what angle the guy who called out of turn was trying to pull because it wasn't an angle. He gained nothing from calling out of turn. If he was either ahead or behind, calling out of turn was not beneficial to him in either case. I know that player well and I can 100% guarantee you he was not angling and made a genuine mistake. It's a pretty bad look for you to make these assumptions about people and then call them anglers/losers in your vlogs.

Not to mention you had the third caller behind you and you give him amazing odds to see a turn with un paired A high hands like AJ/A/10.

The player who grabbed his cards before the dealer put them in the muck didn't really do anything wrong. If they're not mixed in with the muck, they're fair game.

Buddy you cannot become great in low stakes playing suited trash and then calling like a fish with lower flush calls. Become more tight aggressive play less action packed trash hands. Simple starting place. 9/5 suited is basically never acceptable lol unless the player types are mostly maniacs, but then again u aren't trying to battle out hands with high variance and make crazy bluffs etc. Play tighter aggressive with value hands and you will man handle low stakes. easy starting point. Great video keep grinding. -Highseinberg
