It was good but you must be very careful. When AN+KClO3 is mixed then it can form NH4ClO3 and that will turn into NCl3 which is extremely dangerous. When you make a mixture with both then you must not store it for long at all so use it right away. Do you understand?
Makes me wonder how chlorate emulsions and watergels were used in the past.. Nowadays it's all perchlorates mixed with AN, but I've seen some patents that just used AN with chlorate in an emulsion. Maybe it was the emulsion that kept it stable but it still sound sketchy to me. But one could circumvent this problem entirely by choosing an alkali metal nitrate. Something like sodium nitrate with chlorate, possibly dissolved in glycol, then gelled or emulsified.
It is impossible to make a working shaped charge with an explosive that has lower detonation velocity than the speed of sound in the liner and/or the target material. For a working shaped charge, you need detonation velocity of 5 km/s or more. This mixture will give you 3 km/s - far too slow and it is obvious that it is not shaped, powerful but not the very deep, small hole made by a shaped charge.
I already knew about ETN, but would there be an easier way to detonate ANFO (ammonium nitrate + oil) with flash gunpowder would it work or nitrocellulose (made with cotton and nitric acid)?
Wow, mixing AN and chlorate together is very dangerous and it is very sensitive and incompatible mixture lol. Also How did you build shaped charge? It is not visible in the video , can you show us proper picture?
@@guidemomo3652 also mixing KClO3 and sulfur is dangerous as well(sensitive to friction and impact) because K chlorate is sensitive to acids and most sulfur sources contain trac amounts of sulfuric or sulfurous acid
@Abasi Abasi A chlorate Cap (Detonator) itself would not work or even one based with a chlorate salt. However A KClO3/Sugar + TATP Cap would work on most secondary`s. 1g KClO3 .5g Sugar + 2-2.5g TATP or DATP.
