last week, I took a little road trip up to Idaho with my friend Amanda, stopping in Salt Lake on either end to break up the drive and catch up with friends.
It was a really beautiful time filled with nordic skiing, snowy walks, hot springs, and snowboarding. It was also filled with a lot of complex and beautiful emotions that I'm still processing more than two years after leaving this same valley.

Wow, this was so good! I felt a lot of similarities with what you are feeling and experiencing. I experienced a very difficult breakup in my home town. I moved away for many years and dreaded going home to see family because all the negative that blanketed the town. I haven’t moved back, but when I visit the blanked has been lifted and I can enjoy my time without all the pain. All I can say is that time will heal, it just takes time.

I spent 4 months doing a late spring workcation through western colorado to zion, up around idaho and wyoming, ending around the black hills in south dakota. 3 weeks between McCall and Ketchum, and you are absolutely right about how magical and unforgetful that range is. I LOVE that little coffee shop, idk if it was the coffee & food or just the energy but I was able to burn through work SO quick. I still receall those memories from time to time and they are still as sharp as ever.
