Red dot with light on white wall is something I do almost every night. Don’t forget to clean the inside of your EDC mag occasionally

What amazes me is how many people seem to forget to prep firearm cleaning supplies.. I was shopping with a member of my group and grabbed a case of bore cleaner. He gave me a stupefied look and I just laughed and asked him if he ever planned to clean his firearms in SHTF.. Then we both got some stupid looks walking around with 2 cases of bore cleaner.. lol

Smokeless powder residue as it builds up starts wearing at components. You are absolutely right hornady offers a great video of 1700 rounds of powder fired in a AR 15 and they explain how abrasive it is. Military taught me a clean gun is a working gun don't want to be in a fire fight and jam it might cost you your life.

Everything you said is %100 correct. I keep all my carry and duty guns clean and ready to go all the time. I only get to the range about once a month, so every time I shoot I wipe down and lube whatever I shot. Also if I'm out in a storm and my guns and equipment gets soaked, I'll wipe it down, blow out with an air blower and lube.

It’s all about setting yourself up for success. Giving yourself the best odds by having a clean, lubricated and function checked weapon is a great way to stay alive. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I wonder how many people are gonna spend 20k on gear with no training and get taken out by 1 round seconds into a fight or they not even fight at all cause it wasn't what they thought it was gonna be like. It's a sad reality, but truth

I know this is off topic but what are your thoughts on a defensive fixed blade? For everyday carry and for duty? I’m looking at a push dagger, any suggestions welcomed.

I like them though as more of a close get off me knife. At work I run the Kabar TDI or Clinch pick. off duty typically it is the clinch pick or the large TDI or Toor knives

Man I hate to ask this but. With all the extra maintenance you have to do just to make sure that red dot doesn’t fail you. Why run one? Doesnt that seem like allot of extra points of failure to you.

It's an anti fog lense cleaner paste, comes in a little red container. Search it on Amazon when you see the red cup with gold writing.

It's an antifog paste used a lot on camera equipment it's money for gun optics

This seems like overkill for a glock. Expensive 1911/2011 sure

nope I see glocks choke all the time in classes once it heats up. Glock recommended lube is every two weeks and I guess sit could be overkill if you only shoot like 500 rounds a year
