I guess Linus doesn’t think that Bonomo cbets AK and then calls a raise. So if that’s the case then 50% of Bonomos value range is AA (without a club as he has the Ac) which is three combos and the other 50% is KK, which is also three combos. If he jams (and Bonomo doesn’t have those AK combos) then it’s a coin flip between AA and KK, and there’s no guarantee AA without a club will even call. If it doesn’t, then what’s he jamming for? At first I thought the call was insane but if you take out the AK combos then it’s very reasonable, especially when you wanna survive to play the fish later on.
@@zeouhu7345 yeah he might, with KK, if he thinks linuses range is mostly flopped overpairs and flushes he might want to get thin value from them and assumes flushes are 100% shoving and gets value either ways
You like listening to yourself too much. Overpairs jam on llinus raise on the flop given SPR, with AA just calling for the occasional trap sometimes. So river llinus always has the win. He may value some AA/JTcc or eventual T9cc with a jam and given he is llinus he will get hero called possibly even by clueless AK getting there.
Yeh it appears weird at first. But if we assume Linus is not a crazy person and think about it, the most likely hand that Bonomo would call a river raise is AK w/ one club, which Linus blocks him from having.
10% pot lead is essentially a check. Have seen a tendency for this tactic to be employed recently in these pure check scenarios. One example I can think of is when it's a pure check oop on river. I have seen this play (online) becoming more frequent.

There's nothing more savage in poker than making your opponent just call a small bet with his almost-nutted hand, therefore, extracting minimum value with the bet size YOU chose him. If that doesn't solve racism on Bonomo's shoes, I don't know what does.
I think he thought it was pocket kings and he was trapping. Which flatting and not over valuing it is the right Turing to do. Forget the solver, live is live and if u think u have his hand pegged and that hand hits the full house on the river then ur gonna flat. He didn’t think that club gave him top pair against his flush he thought it gave him full house
When Bonomo uses this size he should be mostly value betting thin to get value from pocket pairs like 77-JJ as well as 6x and 5x. If those hands always fold then Linus would be massively overfolding and Bonomo would be profiting hugely with bluffs. Pros value bet thinner and call wider against small bets than recreational players.
I'm no pistol-fighter poker player, but I have been hurt too many times showing the nut flush when the board is paired, and losing a huge chunk of my stack. Bonomo could have had KK.

While I applaud the effort of analysing the relationship between GTO and exploitative play based on node lock, it doesn’t seem to me how either of these players’ plays were justified when they were not “approved” by the solver. A mistake is a mistake.
