This is one of the best troll levels you've played. The creator has clearly played many great troll levels and it shows, taking the best from all of them while simultaneously making it fresh. Awesome!
I've been playing through this level myself and am stuck on the part with the kumquat pipe. I went back into the pipe over the spring like Dave did and got the mushroom, but the edit on this video didn't show how the P switch or on/off switch was activated so the door was visible. Can't anyone help? When you get to "go back" a second time it just says JK and shows the beginning with a hidden [?] block. I tried hitting that and it releases fire, but the door still isn't showing for me. Any help appreciated!!
OK, I figured it out after a while. You just need to hit that invisible block on the first entry to the room as little Mario. No need to get the mushroom. Took me a while, but I got it!
@Enmity the Kindhearted anyone can build their own opinion, but objectively this level is not a masterpiece, because of all the déjà vù trolls in it (I saw a lot of trolls from this level in the past) and a clear lack of polishing. To me, it's like saying the movie Transformers is a masterpiece. Again, opinions differ, but compared to other more recent levels like Mario Commits key die for example, this level is not a masterpiece.
That 1st level was incredible, definitely like to see more from that creator. Enjoyed the other two levels as well - 1st being a great concept and the latter was a good twist on regular speedrun levels. All-in-all this was a rare treat and I have a feeling the next session will struggle to follow on from such treasure.
I love how that troll level manage to kill you multiple times with the same thing, only to get to the end of the section and realize you had to do something slightly different, sometimes multiple times; if the levels most people made head even half that ingenuity Mario maker would have some of the best content imaginable
I appreciate you. You are entertaining everyone just when we need it during quarantine. So many people are having difficulty with their lives, and your videos help bring happiness to them. Thanks DGR! 🙂🙃🙃🙃🙂
18:09 What? How do you stop the auto-screen like that to hide the pipe?? Edit: Solution - 1) Divide upper part from lower part of the (horizontal) course, from the start all the way to the end. 2) Have a custom autoscroll pidgin (in *lowest* row possible) in the middle of the part you should play in, as DGR can in 18:09. 3) Place next scroll-pidgin (in the *highest* row possible) just ahead of the pipe, so "speed-arrows" connects them. 4) Fine tune.
Couldn't find anything on the internet explaining it, only how the autoscroll function worked. So did a few trial and error for a hour. And that's how you do it. As long as you divide the lower part from the upper part through out the course (on the same row, can't switch the row you divide in), then when the lower scroll-pidgin ends, and it want to go to the upper one, it can't since you have divided (scroll-stop) the two. And fine tune it so it stops like 18:09. Cool though.
Always trust the Ding Dong... Just a few days ago Katya (the Drag Queen) published a song called "Ding Dong" I don't see a collaboration chance since she's the complete opposite of family friendly but a man can dream. DING DONG!
I rarely comment on stuff, but holy hell. This video had me laughing straight through. Friggin masterpiece of a level. And you sir, truly bring out the honest laugh in me. Well done
How did Dave not notice the arrow that was behind the on/off blocks pointing to where he needs to stand so he doesn't take damage from the Pokey, it just baffles me at how unobservant he is to his surroundings at times.
