As the title says, here is a straight unedited demo of the RC-600 loop/studio station. Our awesome Roland rep David even did the show for us! And he plays a pretty great tune as well 😉
"Once you've set it all up" sounds so easy, doesn't it? I love my RC-600, but I had to literally study the design of this thing to a point where I drew my own diagrams. I somehow think BOSS should have done that. It would have almost been like documenting their own product.
Simple and straight ahead this guy demonstrates in just 5 minutes what this unit is capable of and how you can build things up in a very easy to understand way without digging into complicated things and too much bla bla. This is said comparing with other videos on youtube trying to introduce the RC-600. Thank you.
Best nonchalant demo I've seen, and that rep can jam! Thanks for mentioning it's other potentials i.e. vox inputs & effects that weren't demonstrated. I'm sold.
Could you please make a tutorial on HOW did you setup your RC600? You made a lot of changes compared to the regular setup, including the Save button that allows you to move into different parts of the song. What was the “song” mode you mentioned? Is a great video, it would be amazing if you would explain how to make it happen :). (Thanks)
A very simple, but very deep demonstration of how the process to program a song can be. It seems that as a drum sound you have always used the same pattern, on which you propose to record the different parts. It's fine and it can work as a minimalist concept, but sometimes some variation is missing, which seems to be the Rc 600, but from what I've seen in other videos it's not an easy matter. Could you tell me something about it, thanks.
I own this Looper and I hate it. I would read reviews on seller sites like Guitar Center or musicians friend. This looper does some cool stuff, but it also crashes often and sometimes randomly changes tempo mid songs. If you play in front of an audience it will embarrass you and make you look like your not professional. I have wasted so much time and money trying to make this POS work correctly. I wish I never sold my old looper. It had less lights and buzzers, but it worked and was dependable. I am starting to think that there just isn't enough processing power in this device and no firmware update is gonna fix what never worked. I feel cheated out of my money. Seriously, avoid this product like the plague.
Agree, I liked that it’s built like a tank but it’s so undependable I feel like I could never gig with it and I constantly have to pull up the manual to do ANYTHING, not intuitive at all. The other thing is that it’s noisy as hell, it hisses like crazy, I’ve had tube amps that are quieter.
Wish rc 600 had settings to set number of times a loop repeats and I could set the order of tracks in which the tracks plays automatically. Would't it be the next level for looping devices ?
Does it not kill you there's NO TUNER on this thing?! Not even about the money I had to buy a Boss TU-3 pedal and I hate the hassle of the dongle setup so much I don't tune. Like how could they build something that does everything but tune? Maybe if enough people ask Boss to include a tuner in a future update they'll finally listen?
Great video sir most straight forward explanation of a particular function that i have seen so far for this great looper. i have a question : Is it possible leave only the drums going and record all the changes in a song to their respective tracks on the fly or do you need to have the changes pre recorded and accessed in song mode only? 🤔 i dont like prerecorded tracks i prefer to build songs in real time ......thanks
The rep who did the video saved two different rhythms in the looper, I believe you can switch between the different rhythms by assigning one of the stomp switches to the switch function, so when you're coming up to the bridge, it'll change for you!
