I'm calling it right now, Rohan will appear in the last chapter of the part, get inspired by Jodio's story of becoming filthy rich and will decide to draw a manga of his adventures naming it "Jojo's bizarre adventure" or the "The Jojolands".
Imagine if the whole manga is a fictional autobiography of the jojo bloodline and Rohan using pink dark boy to not attract any enemies that would be amazing
Gotta be honest, I’ve so far read Usagi as being smarter and having a lot more going on than he may let on. I personally think it’s a fake out and Usagi is already one step ahead in the fight, and gonna due some crazy shit to help free the crew from the string. But I might just be being optimistic idk
Remember that this is Araki. Usagi's acting sus, but that doesn't necessarily mean he's full traitor. He could be using the car to try and help in some way!
Exactly, usagi is very helping for giving information from the start to end. for example always he noticed it's the cats who does it. If he would to betray he wouldn't care that much. Or if it's an act, would he even act that caring and dedicated? -Usagi could make the camera the way that only manipulates his own face and leaving the other 3 as is. -He was the one who told it's the a'ah lava. -Then in this chapter paco and dragona still didn't understand it was the cats' doing and Usagi kept repeating it's the cats. Paco was surprised that it's the cats etc. But after dragona then paco got donuted together by the string, usagi disappeared. Then chapter ends in this short 27 pages. But I still feel like usagi is so caring and informative, so I feel like Araki is just teasing us with this short chapter. usagi'll 1) either do something or 2) he got already donuted by the cats so maybe he's already dead T_T..
@@musicisthefoodofthesoul True. Usagi's been shown as the smartest of the group in terms of knowledge. It's pretty weird considering how he was introduced. It's a sign that he's either just written as underestimated, or he has plans as a traitor (now or later). However, I think it's too soon for him to really be a worthy betrayer - like Kakyoin was faked out to be in early SC. (This *is* the third part of the new universe after all)
I'm still not convinced that Usagi is the traitor. He could have played dumb when they were first attacked inside the house, but he went out of his way to warn and help the others. I believe he is coming back to help somehow.
Or maybe the betrayal was not planned. He seems quite simple minded and seemed always surprised by the events and maybe when he saw an oportunity to leave with the money and safely he just took that chance. They are not his friends after all.
Rohan probably read that Usagi was going to betray the gang / who he’s working for, hence what Rohan said to Jodio “can you trust those comrades of yours”
yo Forts, im luvin' the use of Neo TWEWY for these chapters. it hits different when i beat the game not that long ago. that ending was nutty, and this is getting up there too
You know what irked me? That meryl says usagi isn’t a drug addict, and vouches for him, even tho we see him buy drugs and act pretty untrustworthily. I thought Usagi was meryl’s kid cos nobody knows who her family is, and why she would trust Usagi of all people? Maybe with the mystery surrounding them it’s like there’s a Diavolo/Trish connection? Or maybe I’m stupid?
no i think this train of thought holds up well, considering Meryl seems to have discussed the plan before with Usagi alone, maybe they have a secret arrangement which would be a cool take of the Diavolo/Trish connection, like a "What if Diavolo/Meryl didn't want to kill Trish/Usagi and instead worked together" like what if the two of them were on the same wavelengh you know!
I like to think that the rain from Jodio’s stand acts as a hyper-precise ora ora barrage. Perhaps the power is exponentially strong depending on how small the area is that is actually doing damage? Although I guess he punched a pretty MASSIVE hole in Rohan’s floor
It's important to distinguish between the box narration and bubble narration since the first one seems to be jodio narrating from the future while the other represents his present thoughts
Don't forget about how in chapter 2 Usagi scammed the rest of the group out of a bit of their money by saying the car rental costs more than it actually does.
Everyone talks about November Rain's evolution being about the Spin or gravity control but I personally think he might have something related to the Flow instead, similar to Love Train and Wonder of U, based off of all his talk about mechanisms and laws of the world especially with the lava rock
So far one of my favorite chapters of the part, a bit smaller but the story is getting started now and arakis drawings of the jungle are amazing as per usual
Once we get more on Usagi and his power, there should be a Stand off between him and Cameo. Considering both have Stand abilities that have to do with granting wishes.
I feel like, because of all the foreshadowing to a betrayal, that Usagi leaving is a misdirect. It feels too easy for this to be what was being foreshadowed so much up to this point, the pay off is way too quick. I feel like Usagi left to go get something or at least hide everything he took with the car to get all the stuff to safety, and will be come back right at the perfect time when all seems lost and defeated to save the day
I'd like to imagine that Kars wasn't affected by Pucci's universe reset, and due to the gravity of it all, was only sucked back towards Earth and crashed landed in a Hawaiian volcano. The lava rocks being his rock-like shell from space that broke off as he reentered the atmosphere. It would truly make the series come full circle.
Usagi is probably going to be the best Jobro in this series. He isn’t the traitor. Paco honestly has the under feeling of being the traitor down the road
I don’t think usagi is running away rn. It just seems like a red herring it’s way too obvious especially after rohan just said someone would. I think he’s got a plan and is gonna help save them at least I hope he’s pretty cool. And I’m ready to see what’s going on with the cats and who the hell they work for
I wonder if usagi will come back in some sort of way later on in the park. Aloha does mean hello and goodbye in Hawaiian and the final and most famous line of the song of his namesake translates to "Until we meet again." Also, the rare native bird i'iwi is pronounced like ee-eevee Incase it comes up again. Much love and appreciation for your recaps and reviews 🤙🏾
I have a theory about Usagi. I believe that Usagi is essentially this universes Doppio. Think about it, he has a stand from the band King Crimson, he acts quite childlike (yes I know he's 17) and he took the diamond and abandoned the rest of the group. I don't believe that Usagi has split-personality disorder but I do believe he is working for the main villain (whether that be Meryl Mei or someone else). I know that this is all quite a reach, these are just some things I noticed and wanted to share with y'all.
I have been writing my own JoJo fan novel for fun (that may never even see the light of day) since last year. So far I've only completed a prologue and two chapters. I've been pretty demotivated recently after hearing about jojolands. I knew there was a new part but was largely ignoring it since there was so little out. My novel is set in Oahu and also has a pivotal plotpoint in the beginning set up by a mysterious rock that just so happens to be located in an inactive volcano (although it's not volcanic). The similarities in the setting and in a plotpoint involving a strange rock is almost comical, and it really bummed me out and kept me from writing more for the past couple months since even if I did decide to release it I feel too many people would think I'm copying this new part. Also btw I didn't just happen to pick Oahu I've been living here for about 4 months now after visiting many times in the past few years
Hi Xforts, been binging a lot of your vids recently and am wondering when the part jojolion retrospective part 2 might release? That video was wonderful and I was so sad when at the end you were only halfway through. The confusing nature of Jojolion left me wanting a in Depth explanation and yours was the best I had watched. No rush of course, art takes time and you are probably busy with other projects. Love your content and hope you get around to seeing this
I'm still with my theory, thanks to the mechanism, and following the "music lines" reference, i predict, in a futuro, Jodio is gonna evolved hus stand at the same level of Made in Heaven, with the ability of reshape his world
I think Rohan probably saw Jodio taking the rock as part of the rock's "path" as it were. Like how it seemingly attracts wealth, maybe this attraction is so strong it tugs at fate, or the strings of life (haha strings). The rock is clearly a powerful force and much like some of the other existential powers of end game jojo, I think something like this could be a factor in the story. Especially with themes like "Gravity" already being a heavy set piece
Maybe when you lose focus on the diamond and don't have the lava rocks, they will try to go towards the lava rocks' owner. They 'get back' to what they deem their 'owner'. Like if the A'a Lava Rocks were some sort of 'flag' that the flow uses to choose where to send the objects) A 'mechanism' that grants objects of their value in a sense, they need something that deems them valuable. So the lava rocks guide the flow towards what they claim as 'the rightful owner')
it's importanat to note that when they hired out a vehicle to drive to rohan's villa, Usagi lied about the price of hired a truck to the rest of the gang so he wouldn't have to pay the rent money. He's ready to be sneaky and manipulative to the rest of the gang just to save a couple dollars.
Maybe Usagi could work with another villain as a team later, but his stand really doesn't seem like a stand you'd give a traitor I definitely see meryl being one of the main villains tho, in a kira vibe kind of way, in the way they place an emphasis on her normal life
Knowing jojos the lava rocks might be the holy corpse somehow. Like through some sort of 'Mechanism' the holy corpse got lava’d and traveled all the way to hawaii just to get shot out of a volcano and turned into lava stone
I just realized something Steel ball = starcrewsaders Soft and wet = diamond is unbreakable Jojo lands = golden wind In golden wind polneraf comes back and turn into turtle Now Rohan come back wonder what gonna happen to him
Okay i watch this video after the part 2 of this arc (when i see chapters with number i try to wait until there's 2 so i can binge read it) i still think your theory about Usagi being there to kill the rest can still happen. Probably he knows there's more people trying to get the lava rock and he needs the rest of the gang to get out of the jungle. After all his ability is heavily dependent of another person making a wish making him a useless fighter alone
I really hope November Rain will get a upgrade eventually bc I really dont like the design of it and I feel like it won't be strong enough to defeat the antagonists later on.
I don't think November Rain dissolved the strings. He just weighted them down and then the cats just retired them since there was no way to free them. He probably couldn't free himself or Dragona because adding weight to either's strings would've caused more harm than good.
i for one want to trust usagi, mainly because i like his hat but also because he was actively trying to warn everyone that they were being pursued by a stand and no one listened to him
@@Rhuaridhheats me too I looked at the pages from mangadex and minus the translator announcement pages, they're about ch1: 62, ch2: 43, ch3: 40, ch4: 37, ch5: 40, ch6: 27 pages. Its about 3/5 of average 40 page I wish for ch7 to be longer (bc I love it so much lol)
Me and my gf are reading together and when the manga started we saw a theory of Usagi being Meryl's son and now it makes sense since she's the one who talked about the diamond and she's the one who brought Usagi to the team
Jojolands been honestly the most Jojo story since Part , its been fire and this chapter was another good one. I honestly dont know if Usagi left to steal the diamond or he just left has an homage to Joseph running from Kars. Probably to steal the diamond since like you said, he hasn't been attacked by the stand yet and he could be working with the stand. Its probably best to go with the betrayal because betrayal in "thug" type gangs or mafia gangs is predictable. He's probbably gonna be the Abbacchio of the group, betray the group for something! it could be for the diamond and the lava rock or maybe for Meryl. I think this arc is gonna give us alot of surprises and i can't wait to see it unfold. I think Jodio thinking he's a piece of trash gives him range, he knows he is now and wants to turn his live around from what's he's doing. Knowing delinquency is taboo in Japan, Jodio being one, it makes senses writting him to become someone better, with better education through school and other ways to steer him away from this group.
I knew someone was gonna betray the team, cus the November rain, the lyrics says to be careful with friends cus they gonna betray(not exactly like that, i dont remember the lyrics)
I had a damn feeling Usagi was sussy, he probably cares more about the diamond because of that woman that gave them the job, I have a feeling she’ll be the main villain and Usagi will work for her and fight the main characters. BUT THEN AGAIN. This is Jojo. Anything could happen, he could be going to find a way to help the gang since we know he knows his information
One thing i wondered about his stand is if it can duplicate stands, if sntead of a camera Dragona had asked for [N O V E M B E R R A I N], would his stand be able to create a copy of it?
Hey xfort what’s the video where you covered all of the characters main plot points. Like where you described chapter 6 being about gravity and chapter 5 being about fate etc.
Goddamn, i didn't even notice on the first read that he stole the car. I have no idea how he missed that, but i thought at that time he's just trying to maybe lure enemies on him. Going further, after reading it once again, and of course this video, i think that he's unfortunetly shady at best, and shockingly, he propably betrayed them.
Ngl starting to think November Rains literally only makes heavy rain Maybe at least he can maybe use his stands rain in weird different ways? Like maybe if it squeezes its body together the rain would be bunched up upping the water pressure and more so spraying it than a rain?
You are too optimistic. Clearly Rohan is just a pretext to start the series, like Koichi in Golden Wind. Rohan will suffer the Araki Forgot Syndrome, and hopefully we will see him again near the end of Jojolands. Perhaps. 🤷
I feel like part 8 was kinda like a mix between parts 2 and 4 and now part nine kinda feels like a mix between parts 5 and 3 due to there being more simple stands so far like stardust crusaders and the mix of JoJo and dio like with Giorno but now in the form of Jodio but due to the part 5 parallels I feel like within the new universe we could be getting a equivalent to the requiem arrow and more requiem stands because we really didn’t get much on requiem back in part 5 so who knows maybe a November rain requiem? This is probably my theory senses goin off but I feel like we need more exploration of requiem in the JoJoLands
