@@Imar13I don’t think the stands been named yet. That’s just the chapter title although Araki does tend to put stands as the chapter title but not always.
There's a stranger theory, that Usagi was lying about the whole thing but it was the other characters Believing that the cats were [Valuable] that triggered the [Mechanism]
Usagi's 3 Wish Rule Theory: So after the latest chapter of Jojolands, like everybody, admired Usagi for his bravery. Now youd think I have his full trust, except for one thing, him demanding DRAGONA to make a wish. Now look back to the wishes he made so far. Usagi asked Dragona to want a camera, then asked her AGAIN for a net. Now this begs the question, "What happens if Dragona makes a third wish?" Which is important considering in media, 'what happens if a genie grants someone three wishes?'. Usually, they disappear forever. I think the MOMENT, Dragona makes a third wish, something BIG could happen. Either Usagi's stand gets a power boost, or perhaps Dragona is in danger if her third wish is made in a row. This is all speculation, but it makes sense to why Usagi is specifically asking Dragona to grant wishes in a row. It would also explain why Usagi demanded Dragona to wish for scissors, almost as if he was desperate. Despite Paco being the one hurt the most. Whatever happens, just know this, for the next wish, OBSERVE Dragona's next wish. Cuz at this point anything could happen.
Many believe that usagi is the counterpart of doppio and diavolo but this theory would make him the cameo counterpart, the judgement user, the genius stand the idea of such an important character being the counterpart to a super irrelevant character is so bizarre that araki should definitely make this theory canon
We know that somebody will betray Jodio, but.... what if it's Jodio that's the most evil of all ?? When Rohan said that he shouldn't trust his comrades, maybe he nurtured his inner darkness? Maybe in the end Jodio is the one who will betray his comrades and take all profits for himself.... We got some hints, his psychopathy, Dio ancestor,
Araki’s mind is so weird: Part 8 Killer Queen having explosive bubbles is obviously a reference to how Kira used Stray Cat in part 4. Then, killer queen gets fused into Soft n Wet, who’s bubbles are actually spinning strings. Now if Araki wanted to bring back Stray Cat for the sbr timeline, he’d need to come up with a new concept to differentiate it from pt.8 KQ, since that basically already used stray cat’s bubble ability. But, you’d want to keep the function of Stray Cat’s ability similar to recreate that feeling (invisible, floating, dangerous projectiles). So he gave new Stray Cat *strings.* because soft n wets bubbles are strings, those bubbles referenced KQ8’s bubbles, which were a reference to KQ4 using Stray Cat, which was a stand with bubbles. Idk how intentional that is but its funny.
I imagine Araki probably wanted to get a classic Jojo moment in as soon as possible but I feel like this probably couldve used one more chapter to really pay everything off and have it makes sense. Anyway, still really into this part and excited to see where it goes!
@elgatto551 TW: Gore Its basically a sequal picture to a redroom fetish-artpiece featuring live dissection of every external organ. The other image is the "good ending" alternate version
I think this is one of those chapters that's trying to balance both It wants both surprise yet resolution I was wondering whether this chapter would be better while reading it back to back with the previous chapter, and I think it would as the continuity is better maintained In the last chapter, post a certain point, we just don't see Usagi at all until the very end where he leaves But then again, the misdirection wouldn't work as well unless you were reading it monthly So it fumbles there too Ultimately, I agree with Xforts on this one We should've seen cats do...just something Because the set up was there albeit subtle but the last few steps were absent and that makes this a problematic resolution
Meh, as far as I'm concerned as long as it makes sense then all is fine. The cats and Usagi were out of sight for decent periods of time since Usagi pretended to leave, in tgat time he simply fed them the burgers, returned to the car and then floored it for his re-entrance. And aside from that, the clues are still there beforehand thus it doesn't come out of nowhere. So I overall think it works fine.
@@demon_hawkeye5269 He ditched on them on page 28 of 38 total pages of chapter 6 since that's the last time we saw him The cats went up the tree in chapter 7 Now within the span of 10 pages, he had to go to the car, mix caviar with burger patty Come back to feed it to the cats(of make Mattekudasai take it to the cats Return to the car And then start flooring it Now we could argue that time works differently in the manga (this often causes some problems in the anime but whatever) But the car was close enough for Usagi to do all that Yet when he floored the car, it took him quite some time to return If the car was close enough then wHY didn't he come sooner and ram into the tree? If the car was far away then how did he disperse it? The point isn't whether or not it's explained I buy the explanation he gives The problem isn't even necessarily the set up The set up here is brilliant as we see Usagi actually grab all the things beforehand in previous chapters The problem is more so the final execution of it I still think it's a good fight but it could've been even better with a few extra panels showing that cats were eating something and what not
@@it6647 He did say that he "never left" which likely means he simply brought it back around out of sight, quickly mixed the 2 together, scurried into the bushes and fed thr cats, then ran back, brought the car out of the place it was hidden and floored it to the tree. Could use a bit more showing him doing it but it honestly didn't cause much of an issue for me while reading, JoJo often does stuff like this like with Valentine switching all the witnesses around in a short period of time or Jotaro grabbing a load of books from a store between scenes.
@@demon_hawkeye5269 he said he never left to tell the gang that he never fleed the scene and he was just devising a scheme t That's the whole clarification He literally said that he went to the car to fetch the meat Valentine example was fine because the whole point of the arc was that we didn't know who shot Johnny Him planting the witnesses was just a part of that Once we understood his powers(which themselves are quite problematic in D4C reveal) further explanation wasn't important That one was also not a battle but just a sneak peek into his ability, so completely different context
@@it6647 That's the point, since he wasn't fleeing at any point there's no reason to think he ever went any significant distance away, thus since he was nearby it becomes possible for him to quickly execute his plan. Thus he simply took it a bit out of sight, quickly mixed the meats together, fed the cats and drove the car the short distance back to ram the tree. Yes, it feels almost unreal he managed all this that fast but that's always how JoJo fight resolutions have worked, keep it just believable enough for you to go "ohhh, that's really clever", but just superhuman of a thing to come up with and execute quickly that it's super unpredictable and fun, you sorta have to have a bit of a suspension of disbelief and accept that JoJo characters are just nothing short of superhuman geniuses who execute super complex plans in moment to moment battles that no real life person could. I know it's fine, I think it's an awesome mystery that introduces Valentine's intimidating ability really well, this is just being used as an example of JoJo's style as I described above. I also don't think his powers are problematic, they've always worked the same, the people that point to the statement about "allowing neighboring worlds to exist in the same space" don't seem to realise that this is just another way of describing transporting things from one universe to another. It was a battle, it's Johnny being near fatally shot and involves close quarter confrontations with Valentine, Wekapipo and Diego.
I super subscribe to the idea that the cats are rock animals, like you said the stand is very integrated to their body and that's very much like a rock organism imo
great vid, with my copy of the manga volume i got a little wrap around thing on the bottom of the book advertising a 2024 jojo calendar. not sure if you got this too but i thought it look interesting
I’m glad you draw attention to the improbability of Usagi’s ploy to save the day. When this chapter came out I was stumped by the sequence of events. When did Usagi have time to go on his own little bizarre adventure to feed the cats??? Anyway, great video as always, thank you!
Another amazing video I got a copy of volume 1 also I just had to and it’s beautiful. I can’t wait to see what happens next and who sent the cats or what’s going on I think they’ve gotta be after that lava rock. But I knew for sure usagi wouldn’t betray them it was way too obvious and too early for that.
It would be a neat touch that as the part continues and Usagi works together with the gang, they reach a point where Usagi doesn't need to announce what he needs his stand to do, the others can just accurately guess what he wants them to ask for
On the point of when the cats ate the burgers, the cats before Jungle Warfare did seem to be making eating noises on the roof of the villa. I'm unsure if that makes sense chronologically but, it's there.
man being able to witness a jojo part from its first release to the part where the stand can manipulate time and space will really be an awesome adventure
I thought the cats could have been rock animals due to their possession of stands and guarding/pursuing of the lava rock, but instinct tells me we’re done with rock humans/animals.
been waiting for this 🙏, Paco seems to know too much about the diamond too fast. I'm interested to see where this all leads. I like all the stands but honestly dragoona seems kind weak compared to every one else but their stand seems pretty cool, so who knows what he has instore for our jo-bro. Im excited to see where araki takes us next!
This chapter was good in a sense that it was their first time going against an enemy, with it being a bunch of cats. The lava rock seem to bring valubale goods towards them, which is intersting as these said "valuable" things are a construct valued by rarity.
Usagi first wanted to drug the cats so he probably drove to some drug store or something, then he changed his mind and decided to do some experiments to see what those cats will choose the lava rock or the expensive fish eggs
when i seen the cats get all riled up and connect their strings, i thought that was gonna be some kind of transformation, as in the cats were a disguise, and when they connected they would revert to the real stand, that would be cool considering the cats look the same, so maybe it's just 1 stand split into multiple disguises
Yeah definitely not a fight to remember moving forward. I’m curious to see more world building like locations and enemies in the sense of their motivations. So far Paco is my favorite character
well every anime/manga has at least 1 mid fight, it'll get better, there's definitely been 1 or 2 jojo parts that started with a mid fight but are amazing later on.
Yeah, this certified Araki moment ruined this fight for me. Felt so sooo unearned. Deus ex machina ad infinitum. IDK, I was very invested in how f*cked up the gang was and wondering how could they possibly escape. The resolution was very underwhelming.
@@stairwaytoheaven8 Chapter 7 is really soon for casting judgment, but it was just a meh chapter, those happen too. Bummer that it is right at the start
@@stairwaytoheaven8 sorry but judging an enitre manga that we've yet to really get deep into purely by 1 mediocre fight is retarded, that'd be like watching a show u know is good and stopping because episode 2 was mid.
