We travel to Darjeeling, an incredible place in the hills of India. We get lost in the streets, meet lot's of friendly locals, eat street food, and cheer for a sunrise with hundreds of other people. The place was filled with Nepalese and Tibetan culture, and we LOVED it!

Lmao people are mad for no reason. Darjeeling and most parts of North East are very obviously different than the other majority of India. What is nepali and Tibetan influence? Hilly places? With buddhist crap? That's where the stereotypes play in and it's high time it's called out. I don't think these ppl meant anything bad but 'it doesn't feel like India' isn't cool.

@@sakshigupta8603 Nepali and Tibetan influence because all the people in these towns are Nepali and most of their ancestors came from Nepal and built these towns. Also these lands were part of Nepal once and still can be Nepal because no official border agreement has been signed between Nepal and modern India. The last border defining treaty in this region was signed with British who are no longer present there.
@ayrtlamrin2264
@ayrtlamrin2264 22 часа назад
@@sakshigupta8603 You people are absolutely clueless about your own country. Darjeeling has a majority Nepali population. They speak Nepali and follow Nepali traditions. You'd know this if you actually cared about the people that live in your country. They are practically Nepali in everything except their citizenship. Does that mean they're not Indians? Of course not. They're Indians of Nepali origin. They identify as Indian but the rest of India has alienated and punched down on NE indians for decades, calling them Nepali or Chinese, anything but Indian. That has happened for a reason, and the reason is that they do not fit into the typical mould of what an Indian is like. Oh, but say a place doesn't feel like your typical Indian city now, it's time to get offended. Recognize that these places ARE different from what a typical Indian city would be, but they're still Indian regardless. There's no need to pearl clutch over harmless statements.
@sakshigupta8603
@sakshigupta8603 22 часа назад
@@aa6eheia156 signed with British who had Indians in the army fighting the wars and all the powers were transferred to us when we kicked them out so the border still holds. Nepal is claiming indian territory if anything but that's all they can do, claim. Nepalese ancestry is also common in parts of Bihar and UP. Doesn't make it nepal.

@@ayrtlamrin2264 bruh you need to stop with 'u ppl treat NE bad' those people are exceptions and there are bad apples everywhere.
