My plans didn't play out the way I had expected- so let's spend a day hanging around Key West! This is the second part to my Southern roadtrip with the van, and while it was a bit of an unexpected day- I think it still turned out pretty great!!

Looked like a fun day Erin. Glad you didn't get "the knock" while sleeping in the middle of the night. Looks like you got up to go to the marina in the middle of the night. I was saying at the end of the video "Go back to sleep Erin" but then you would have missed the tour boat again. 😫

Loved key west visited in 92 I didn't like the snorkeling very uneasy feeling . If you see Sir Billy Connolly say hi apparently he now resided in key west .

I hope you could try The French Creperie. And I hope the Hemingway house too! Edit: you saw the butterfly conservatory! And you biked past a great tattoo place, Southernmost Tattoo. I feel ya' when you didn't know how to return the bike 😢

I was on a budget so i had to choose between the butterflies and hemingway🥲 probabsly should have chose hemingway because there are butterfly houses everywhere but I'm a sucker for butterflies lol and really enjoyed it! and yeah i blanked on asking them what to do with the bike after i was done with it lol

Loving you and your video as always! You missed a lot of KW, but looked like you still had a good time! Hope you make it to the dry Tortugas... Love following along on your adventures! Most van you-tubers stick to the West and SW... Great to see you in different places!

Thank you!! What did I miss? Give me recs for next time! and I agree, I always think of the "van life" out west so its been fun to try out down south! It has its own perks and challenges for living in a van, but its been fun to see some different places!

@@erin_elyse OK, since you asked :) Food: Cuban Sandwich at Sandy’s Cafe - Sea Food at Turtle Kraals - Breakfast at Blue Heaven or Camille’s - Authentic Island Food at Mo’s Restaurant. Lots of others, but these you really don’t want to miss! The best beach is actually where you were at Fort Zachary Taylor state park (no seaweed). You should visit The Hemingway House, The Audubon House, The Aquarium, The Mel Fisher Museum, The Tropical Forest and Botanical Garden, and the Key West cemetery…. and a half-day of Kayaking thru the mangroves is well worth the money. Lots more to do, but this would be a good start! And I’m sending along a little gift you can use to cover your lunch when you go back! Enjoy your adventures as much as we enjoy following along!

It's nice to see a non-vegan vanlifer..lol Seems everyone I follow are a bunch of salad eating vegans. I lived in West Palm Beach many many years ago and I really miss a good Cuban sandwich. Phoenix isn't known for that. I hope you make it on the ferry this time around. see ya next week.

ahaha, that was my first one because I've been a vegetarian my entire adult life😂 I've been on a bit of a hiatus, and i cant believe how many foods I had never had before because of it!! The cuban sandwich was so yummy, ill be back in the area for a project in a few months and its gonna be my first stop lol
