From the last video, I got to visit Hawaii's best buffet at the Orchids restaurant. This was their Sunday Brunch Seafood Buffet; highly sought after and I was lucky enough to get a reservation due to a last-minute cancellation.
While dining there, I got to enjoy the immaculate Seafood stations, the savory meats featuring prime rib and lechon, and probably the best dessert offerings I've seen in Hawaii. But it gets even better because I had the good fortune of meeting Gina and David who were celebrating their anniversary...and they were gracious enough to invite me to a luau they were hosting!
While I generally plan out a vacation, I did not realize that the Luaus, especially to top luaus in Honolulu such as those offered by the Polynesian Cultural Center or at Nutridge are booked a week or weeks in advance. Resigned to the fact that I was going to miss the Luau on this trip, it was quite fortuitous to be able to get to go. As a general rule, I don't take freebies or comps from the places I visit; just grateful to have the opportunity (and permission) to share these experiences.
Again, thank you for joining me exploring the great places of Hawaii! Here are some useful links:
