My husband and I were together 55 1/2 years. Those first two 1/2 years was dating, getting to know & courtship. That 2 1/2 years BUILT the BOND. The marriage ceremony was sealing the BOND before GOD. We FELT the BOND throughout our Marriage. There was never any question or doubt. We were a unit loving each other and would have never felt right breaking the BOND. Though he passed away when he was 77, it was my commitment to him to care for him his last 4 months at our home hospice. During those months we had some of the most cherished spiritual closeness ever....true soul mates! He's been gone 2 3/4 years, but I am still bonded in my soul wishing he was here, so we could share more intimacy like our hugs, hand holding, arm locks or simply standing real close to each other. I miss that so much! .............. So, Rabbi Friedman, you are right on in your explanation.... RIGHT ON!!!!

A good example for unconditional love is somebody who goes for his sports team, it’s only because I hate everyone else.
@ThePinkPantha21

That's still not unconditional. If you lose or don't play well you guys hate one another 🤣🤣🤣🤣

That was interesting. But then how do you determine weather you are wanting or needing love from your partner?

Yes, this time is the time, everything is textless, odorless, colorless just like water & losing mind among many people, why? what is happening with people b/n who still keeping traditional value and contemporary? It makes me worry. What we need to feel in the blank? think about it.

How did people not have this problem once upon a time? Or did each story and war want the other's "apple"? And how will you love through sex if you don't have butterflies in your heart from the person of your dreams. I don't like arranged marriages. They are only ready for sex, but not for intimacy between the couple. I accept advice, but I don't want it imposed on me as a fait accompli.

Title is misspelled. Should say "conversation" instead of "conservation".

Amazing how many people probably didn't even notice that. I know I just instinctively read it as "conversation" 😊

ps there is also a factor that if you date without building relationship for say 7-10 years it seems so empty that you dont want anymore such relationships, so you stop..

6.24 Welfare happened for all the single parents left by their lovers.The more kids the more money.A man without a job has to beg borrow or steal to make a living.More welfare less work.Women thought sex was loved and they loved very much. Have a trial marriage,live together without sexuel intercourse.Getting to know you. Save sex for when you want to have a child together.Then tie the knot in expectancy of your love child.

It says in Yirmiyahu 31 "I have loved you with an everlasting love..." For sure G-d hates workers or iniquity. It's also written. I think what Manis Friedman is trying to convey in a way that sounds a bit confusing is that we objectify people due to the throw away, self serving, porn culture. You want to connect on a level with your wife where you see them. You don't just see them for what they give you, transactional. Marriage is a transaction but it's a relationship where you give, where you truly connect with the inner part of the other and don't just look for external trappings and what brings me pleasure. On the other hand, there needs to be a caveat because it takes two to create intimacy. To create trust. When one person *uses* the other, like an object, that will be felt and undermine the true connection.

We say a brocha every night with shem hamalchus that Hashem lives Amo Yisroel. No clue what the rabbi is saying that hashem doesn’t always love us. Odd
