Welcome back to Sheep School, where every day is a school day! Mother Nature had other plans for our peaceful farm life. Storm Debi swept through, leaving chaos in its wake - a fallen tree, a damaged fence, and an uninvited guest, a ram lamb with a romantic agenda has affected my breeding program!
🐏 Love on the Lamb:
Witness the unexpected romance that unfolded as this persistent ram lamb made its way through the broken fence, leaving our flock with more than just woolly tales to tell.
👣 Injury and Resilience:
But the storm's aftermath wasn't the only challenge I faced. While attempting to restore power to our house during an electricity supply fault, I ended up with a sprained ankle.
🚜 Quad/ATV Safety Course Adventure:
In the midst of chaos, I took a break to visit my RU-vid friends, @IFarmWeFarm @dronedairys7461 and @farmerfiachraagrivideos. Join me as I embark on a mandatory quad/ATV safety course, turning an essential task into a fun and educational adventure!
🎥 Don't Miss a Minute:
From unexpected love affairs to quad safety shenanigans, this episode is packed with laughter, drama, and valuable lessons. Hit that play button now and join me in the ups and downs of farm life!

I have to correct you on one thing first David, there’s NO different leagues on RU-vid or farming. You have a powerful hardworking channel that is flying and a pleasure to watch. Great to have yourself and the other guys around for the day… powerfully crack 👌👍

As I told Cammy, stop wearing trainers and wellies and get a really good pair of 10 hole leather boots, the support you get from them is well worth the money, but your right about the danger of farming not just machinery but the animals even sheep, my wife is just back from a split tibia cause but a sheep running past her, so you don't need to look for trouble accidents on the farm they are round every corner, great video great to see some one else with the same day to day and realise its not just yourself, good luck to you

Ligament tears are so painful and can take longer to heal than an actual break. Hope it heals quickly. So much fun to see you and Adrian together. Cheers to all five of you safety -minded men. As Tom P says, “Danger never takes the day off.” 👍😊👍 Loved the Austin Powers insert. 😂😂

when I ripped the ligaments in my ankle I was at the Dr months later complaining about the night pain - she explained that I have snapped some nerves and it was the nerves re-attaching that was causing the pain - as they touch it gives you like a little electric shock until they reattach and form back together - it takes about a year I was told for that to happen - I did it mowing lawns on a hill and slipped on the damp ground

Soak your foot/ankle in Epsom salts, the magnesium will help, you could also take an oral magnesium supplement (as an added bonus it helps with brain injury which one might suspect with the hinky way you tried to enter your shop).😉Beautiful countryside in the background of your quad course. I think it's a good idea that helmets and courses are compulsory, though the cost of courses should really be gov't funded.
@sheepschool365
@sheepschool365 9 месяцев назад
Thanks for the magnesium brain tip 😊 Agree 100% about the funding. There is financial assistance available for the helmet but unfortunately not the course..

That is good to know that I shouldn't screw in the dipstick checking it as I have an old Honda quad. Yesterday I did my once yearly trip with it on my serious hills spreading seed for winter grazing. Scares the begeesus out of me, and I skip the worst bits. And yes, backing a little trailer with them is not easy.

@@sheepschool365 He did a bloody excellent job of it, way better than I managed last night. Short trailers swap directions quickly, quads not so much.

Ash die back is a whole handling..and a disaster along roads waiting to happen as they are dying from the inside out and if they are covered with ivy means they catch more wind and could come down on passing cars..ive taken all down incase of well.. god forbid. As for the ankle i completely ruptured my achillies tendon when pushing back a trailer and yeah snap, out for 5 months and if i could have written i cheque i would have, could feel it growing at night time as it sent out new growth to knit back together. As for the course, great stuff ive learned so much more that we all should be looking at and often don't. As for the suffolk cross blackface ramlamb .."a living mouse is better than a dead elephant". Take it easy on the ankle.

@@sheepschool365 we have used that saying on this farm for decades and as a young boy seeing large charolais calves lying outside the byre door dead and the poor cow unable to rise the a few days , I quickly realised that a small living calf or lamb would have better. Funny I've used this phrase with Cammy when he wanted a honest review of his lambs and he replied that he thought it was a great saying ..now who's going to use it first in April David or Cammy. Keep up the good work , we all love to see what others do.

can completely understand why the 3 of ye did this and showed it online. Saying that, this being mandatory for all is a joke, the concept is right but I don't think it works. 10:08 drone dairies is leaning completely left while turning right, looks wrong from a mile away, was barely safe at that speed. A mistake by him for sure but I bet he never would/has done that in his life without a lad watching and judging his "active riding" skills. He would be safer sitting straight. Can't say anything for adrian or yourself, didn't see it as clearly. I don't think driving/riding can be taught, there's only so much you can say to a child how to ride a bike it's all practice, being cautious etc. Only problem is a scratched knee is what you will get from a bike whereas with quads/tractors/cars is a lot worse. Tractor course similar to this will be next one day but there will still be accidents. Just my thoughts, keep the vids coming lads 👍
