@@orbitarchive346 Are you kiddin'? Except for the infamous 'Valenta Sunset' departure, this is the most dramatic Valenta departure, I've come across. Fair enough, the engine roar, in comparison to the turbo-charger could have been more clear, but this is absolutely amazing. 😱 As a Dutchmen It's incomprehensible this kind of train once serviced regular Intercity transportation, and quite recent for that matter as well. ❤️

When the the time is there, and there is a special event; I will specifically come over to the UK to experience either the 41, or by then the Valenta-reinstated 43's of the 125Group. It wont be the same as this, but it will come darn close to it. 🙌🏻 Hopefully, one day they will be allowed to drive around the country doing it's service max. speed of 125m/ph. That'd be a dream come true.

Me too. I went for the 50s more than anything but yeah, those Valenta days and the smell of hot brakes and that distinctive moaning the train made as it was brought to a halt and then started from rest. Who knows, we might even have seen each other.

I'm 28 and freaking out at least as much (even after seeing this hundreds of time, no exaggeration 😂). So yeah. Probably.

I think 'Valenta sunset' THE MOTHER OF ALL HST STARTS is up there with the best! Leaving Newcastle - that turbo sound is something else!

Not really it depends because it changes when a train enters the track circuit (green to Red)

@@Cactus732 no. There was a direct connection from the Up B&H to the Up Fast.

Perhaps the other platform was in use?! The lines are bi-directionally signalled so the facility is there!
