Hearing the birds in the background and not seeming to care of what is going on in the world. I was reminded of where the Lord said are you not more valuable then they? He will take care of us. Just keep your eyes on Him. Years ago I went through a tremendous amount of anxiety and the Lord gave me. Romans 8:15 For we do not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear but we receive the Spirit of Adoption for we cry out Abba Father.
And how the Lord gave me that verse was when I was listening to Creflo Dollar and was preaching on that verse. That verse came alive in me. So, I stood on that verse and was set free from the bondage of fear at that time.

Today, when taking a church family member to his doctor appointments after surgery. I was preparing to pull out of the parking after the first appointment and happened to look at our trip odometer. It said 139.5 and I was immediately impressed with Psalm 139 verse 5 which says, " You have hedged me behind and before, and laid Your hand upon me." It was so appropriate while being out and about during this time. I knew Papa was saying, you're out here and I've got you covered. I love my Papa. He is so good to meet us where we're at.
Glenn Robinson Papa to me, speaks of my relationship with God. He is my Abba, Father. Years ago, when I was in high school and times were really difficult, Psalm 27 became very special to me. I only had an old Gideon New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs that had been handed out in school to one of my older sisters. When afraid of those in the house while my dad was on the road as a truck driver, I would lock my door as sit on the floor to read in this book. When I came upon this verse in Psalm 27:10. “When my father and my mother forsake me, then the Lord will take care of me.” He became my Papa , an endearing word for Father, during those days. Let this encourage you to see Him closer than your earthly family and one who will take you in when all others may fail you. I hope this helps you understand where I am coming from. I had earthly parents, but they were so broken and bruised from their childhood they weren’t there for love, guidance, or counsel. I adopted God as my Papa and the One who cares for me and you can too.

Thank you!! I started displaying symptoms while in Indonesia, my mom got a fever and started getting sick. My trouble breathing started a panic attack which I had never had before and so I thought I was having respiratory failure! As I was panicking God sent an amazing word through a facebook live stream for me and it lifted off of me! I am still sick and so is my family, they wont test us because of the shortage but praise the Lord He has lifted the fear and panic off and that is so amazing! Thank you for your testimony it encourages me that I am not alone and that He will do it again for others. Praying for everyone!

Thank you for sharing this. I am going to my oncologist on Monday to get the results of my brain scan. Fear can nudge its way in but my faith holds onto the word of this psalm. Praise God and His mighty power. X
I don’t have fear or anxiety I’m older and I’m home with my husband, but I understand others who could have fear. They can lose their jobs, their health and they have small children in their care, etc. I want God to open our eyes and draw us close to him during this time, so our hearts are brave and without fear!

Thanks, guys. In all my born again days re the verse...but of love, power and a sound mind...I have never heard the word POWER emphasised. I've only noticed it once, myself. The Lord will perfect those things that concern us. Great and small re the challenges we face at the moment. Nothing too great, nothing too small. Take care. My friend from N. Thank you Jonathan and Melissa for speaking on this. I've been feeling this same scripture and sense of peace so strongly lately. I totally believe that this is a war against the spirit of fear. Your ministry and your testimony have been such a tremendous blessing to me and my family in these last few years; in more ways than you realize. You've inspired us to go deeper and grow closer on this journey of listening to the voice of The Father, and developing friendship with The Holy Spirit. You've shown me the humanity of Jesus, and given me the courage to know him as God, and man. I love you both and I'm praying that the God of Peace will continue to sustain you as you stand firm in faith, resisting fear.
So good to hear the truth right now.....we can exchange fear and anxiety for a sound mind!! That is the goodness of God!! My husband and I both have autoimmune diseases. But as Jonathan read Psalm 27 I could see that tent the Lord has for His people. As we call on Him and focus on Him we can see we are safe in that tent. That tent is filled with His people.....some need to come and rest there, others are worshiping in song while others are in prayer. But He's meeting our needs and we get to be WITH HIM and each other during this time of battling. Thank you for sharing this!!! So encouraging!!
I also have an autoimmune disease. It took me out from being on a worship team for ten years. I am back worshipping because of your courage to speak and be vulnerable as a leader. I had some fear last Saturday for the first time. God reminded of the German town Oberammergau. I visited this place and saw the passion play when I was 15. Check out the story. He said that he is my Oberammergau and I will praise and worship him through this time. Can't wait to go back to church and feel the energy of God's people rejoicing.
Thank you for this. I have severe osteoporosis, fractured ribs and vertebrae just with a simple cough a few years ago. So I tend toward anxiety, worried often that I will catch something. Or even simple allergies. I know God has been giving me his supernatural peace in this season. One breath at a time.

Thank you for this message. I really have been struggling with my thoughts. To keep my mind on the Lord in the face of adversity or frustration orvthe stress at work. Whatever it may be on any given day. God is with me as I am caring for my patients everyday. No matter what I may be going through on any given day. As soon as I walk into one of my patients room I feel literally God take over and give my patients exactly what they need through me.

Thank you for this - I am only listening to it now, but it is what I needed to hear. My husband and I have had Psalm 27 on our hearts for a while now. And it just confirms God telling us not to fear, He is in control, we just have to wait on Him and run to Him. Blessings and wisdom to you guys.
I am overwhelmed. This is what I am currently experienced, that tensions, fears and anxiety, just drenched over me like I have never experienced before. I was panic and shaken. But God taught me something new, how I letting go of that anxiety and unbelief, and God, himself, his presence fills up those spaces. The more I let go, the more I receive him. When the enemies tried to plague me again, I tried my very best to submerge myself into his presences. And He never fails me, he is always there waiting for me, and all I have to do is just meet him there.
Melissa, God has you in His heart. I was at a Bethel night of worship I think in 2016 when I heard your testimony before you sang "Catch the Wind" He placed you on my heart to pray for you and I am sure Holy Spirit has placed you on other peoples hearts. You have already won this battle and I pray with you to walk out your victory.

I have not experienced any fear or anxiety, its not even on the radar. Im experiencing the peace of God. This is from one who used to have panic every single day for years. No more. Thank you so much for that word. Because of been sick I experience anxiety, I don’t like the MRI and other test. I still go out there to preach the gospel but once I get home I have exchange anxiety for the sound mind as you said. Thank you again
It certainly isn't surprising that spirit-filled believers can get blindsided by fear. It's like a heavy wet blanket sometimes, and you can't shake it. It can come at any time, in waves, just like now. But God knows our frame, that we are but dust. He understands our fears. Peter had seen Jesus do so many miracles, yet when the waves were rocking, he cried out in fear. It is so like us to forget God's strength and faithfulness, even when we've experienced it before. What compassion He has for us. We don't know what's ahead, but Jesus does, and He isn't worried. Stay intimately close to Him every moment, thank Him for who He is, and for His care for us. He is our Peace. He always comes through. Jonathan and Melissa, bless you deeply and richly for simply sharing your hearts, and encouraging us. Psalm 46 is a wonderful psalm, and especially more so in times such as these. Glory to God.
