Welcome to the Blue Cactus Dairy Goat Ranch! We breed show quality Nigerian Dwarf Goats! We currently have a herd of 22 does and 4 bucks. Our herd is rotationally grazed on our 10 1/2 acre homestead in Arizona. We make cheese and soap from the milk we get and we also raise chickens for eggs and meat and keep a large garden year round!

They are doing fantastic! My baby “Junior” (he’s a year old now) was strong when he was born but could not figure out how to suck and latch on. He went down hill quickly, on deaths door. I brought him in the house and fed him by an eye dropper until he started sucking that down and was able to move him to a bottle. He was jumping around the second day so I brought him back to momma. She was smelling him and saying nope, not my kid. Sooooo I took the little sweater she pulled off both her babies after they were born, rubbed in near mommas poop then rubbed Junior’s butt and down his back and she took him back. Ever since he’s been great. THANK YOU FOR UPDATING US 🥰 So happy they are making it!!!!

Today I revisited their birth and now this video and it brought back so many memories. Of course I couldn’t hold back the tears knowing what was going to happen. She really did try to fight for her life! And my dear, lady of the goats, you gave it your very best!!! Looking forward to the new birthing season and sweet little baby goats!

Made me cry. That tiny baby was so sweet. She was moving around like she was going to make it. So sorry. She was beautiful. So sad. But glad the other 3 are doing well. Hope they keep improving.

Watching this shows me when we build a house we will need a mud room with tile floor and a drain so I can keep little goats in it when needed. I appreciate all you teach us about goats!

I'm so happy to see them doing well. That little boy reminds me of Dexter, love him, he's going to get even flashier as he grows. I'd name him Vladimir "Vladi", and the girls Velma and Violet. But that's just me lol. Thanks for the update on these littles, they're just precious. ❤️

Beyond wonderful watching u with the 3 preemies. Incredible good news. I knew when you went ‘video silent’ about the preemies for those first days, you were struggling. Total sadness about littlest baby girl, but surviving and being sickly, and unable to be a real baby goat would have been so much worse. Sometimes nature just decides for us. So thank you for this precious video, loaded with smiles and good news for these 3. Such a treat seeing them outside, interested in their surroundings and nursing from the bottle. Overdose of cuteness. And as always, your complete delight in them and their progress is so heartwarming. cuteness!

My condolences for the tiny goat. Thank you for taking such good care of the goats it’s making my shelter in place a bit more bearable. I live in a CA suburb near Silicon Valley and have never thought about goats. I happened upon a video and have been obsessed for days now. Best wishes to you and your family. Btw I love that your daughter doesn’t wear shoes.

Sorry for your loss ... 3 Really healthy beautiful babies . We have two indoor goats and our munchkin "lil girl" was constipated this weekend(lol) ... but got us all in a fit ...Shes daddys lil girl . Shes fine now ... Someone gave away a big trampoline on craigslist ...so our buddies will be having fun...Thanks for your videos

Voltron for the buckling. So many good suggestions for the does' names. Vina, Verita, Violet, Vonda, Vesta, Vonnie.... I learn so much from you. The little one you lost was unable to survive. Crystal, thank you for sharing an update on Val's babies. They are too cute for words. I have such a hard time trying to imagine their size. The only goats I've ever seen are on here or something. I've never seen one in real life.Grew up on a farm with cows, pigs, and chickens, but no goats or sheep. V names are hard to think of. Maybe Vanna and Vesta for the girls, and Vano for the little boy. I'm so sorry you all lost the other little one. She just was too early.

I'm so sad for the loss of the littlest girl. You and she fought so hard for her life. I'm so happy about the other three's amazing progress. I wouldn't keep them outside for at least a week, but you know much better than eye. I do think the sunshine and fresh air are important. However, I would be concerned about those cool Arizona nights and those premie lungs.

I just love Val's kids. So sad the tiny girl passed away. She was so sweet. I love that little buck. You say he's a new herd sire, thats great. I will be able to watch him grow up. Are you keeping Val's 2 girls too? I would call the little orange one Ginger. Call the buck kid Vulcan and the other girl Venus. The last clip showing the little girl thats in heaven now brought tears to my eyes. R.I.P baby girl.

I fell, in a BIG way, for HOPE on WEAR but she was flown to Lumnah Acres and we trailed across the country to be in touch with her unique personality but it's all about building projects now and we might get a mere glance of Hope if we're lucky. They fulfil their obligation to WEAR but she ought to have remained in warmer climes with a less business oriented vlog. Heck, I miss that character and personality. I was the runt of the human litter I was born into but went on to make my mark on the world!!

Sorry you lost the fourth little girl, but anyone who’s involved in raising animals has met that heart ache. Speaking from my experiences anyway. So grateful those three you have here are making such phenomenal progress. Truly, so happy for you and them Crystal. I know they’re in the best of hands so their chances are great.
