Great video! My understanding is cancer is Anabolic….? If catabolism breaks down and anabolism builds up how can cancer be building up the body when it’s destructive? 😮 thx so much 😊
Hi there, thanks for the feedback! Anabolic doesn't equal good and catabolic doesn't equal bad. Either process can be good and healthy or bad and problematic depending on the situation. Anabolic refers to building up (or growth) and catabolic refers to breaking down. Cancer is anabolic because is builds and grows over time. It isn't building up the body, it is building up itself, which is anabolic. Cancer builds and grows which destroys the tissues and organs that it is taking over, but any growth process is considered anabolic, even if it is bad for us.
