i would have put up the rule, that when you can't guess the anagram right, the other gets to chose if you have to skip it. so you get punished if you don't get legends, instead of getting them anyway
I agree but I think they went this route because it would have taken too long otherwise. Already spent around 11 minutes assembling a team with the no skip rule.
Creative challenge! Wouldn't mind seeing the same, but having it so if you miss the anagram your opponent decides whether or not you take the mon. Makes for a good punishment if you miss on a good mon.
4:53 "drastically" is a general term for any stat changes that aren't slight or sharp. Drastically includes all, from +3 to +12 (and from -3 to -12, something is "severely" lowered). Belly Drum also says it "maximises" attack which is +12, but that's just special text for the move. It's still a drastic increase. In this case, Steam Engine gives +6 to Speed
If a Pokémon at -6 Attack uses Belly Drum, it will become +6 Attack. Twelve stages. It simply caps at six stages each way, so a +5 Pokémon using Belly Drum would still only reach +6. It doesn't outright say drastically, because of the unique text for Belly Drum which simply says "maximised". Even with Simple, the maximum stat boost one can normally get is +6 at once, with Belly Drum being the only exception. But a Pokémon who copies the Belly Drum changes such as with Mirror Herb, will also receive that same boost (which could be as high as +12) and it would be a drastic increase
@@angels.3686 Ohhh I see what you're saying. I didn't consider that a pokemon might use it at -6 which would indeed be a +12 stat change to max attack.
Draw-in moves are like Follow Me and Rage Powder. Say someone wants to set up a Trick Room but the other Pokemon is attempting to redirect your attacks towards itself. Propeller Tail essentially ignores that redirection and the attack still goes through towards the target, potentially stopping the strat. Unfortunately, it's very niche and Swift Swim is a better option overall
Challenge Idea! I will keep asking this idea lol Who's that pokemon challenge! -Find a random encounter -the other person then has 3 questions to figure out, "who's that pokemon" -if they guess the pokemon right , they can choose to keep or skip -if they guess wrong the other person chooses to keep or skip - repeat till you have a full team Love the VS. Vids keep em coming
Imagine letting so many of your Pokémon die because you didn't switch in Dusknoir to tank the Palkia hits. It was such an obvious thing to do. Switch Dunknoir to tank the Palkia hit then retaliates with Phantom Force Chilled gets scared and subs in the Electivire Electivire takes the Phantom Force hit Chilled responds with an electric attack but Quick subs in the Flygon that *isn't* dead because he used Dusnoir to scare the Palkia out instead of sacrificing 2 mons to it. Like what do you mean "nobody can take this Palkia hit?" Dusknoir is literally a whole ass tank. And Comfey is immune to those attacks. Palkia did not need to be the monster you made him out to be.
@quickGG & Chillnplay drawing in moves is more relevant for doubles, moves like Follow Me and Rage Powder, and abilities like Lightningrod that redirect attacks to the target. "Drastically" in this context means +-3 or higher. Steam Engine literally maxes speed: +12 speed.
I think we should do a video like this again. But if you don’t guess it you can’t skip it and you can’t fully evolve it. Then you’re stuck with the mon. And if you guess it correctly you evolve it then decide whether you want to keep or skip it. That way in relation to other videos, you have a slightly higher chance of getting “trash mons”. Lol Watching your channel constantly. Been a viewer for about two years or so. And almost daily I replay videos on my headphones while I work. Good way to make the day go by quicker and it’s pretty easy to imagine the Pokémon battles while at work. Much love Chilln and Quick. Happy Halloween
@@rollihd714 Um, yes it is for Steam Engine. I was answering it for the ability in general which increases Speed by six stages. not in general. Drastically in other cases is mainly by 3 stages
If you take suggestions, do a battle in which you catch your team of randoms, can be legendary or anything, 3 skips, once you have your team organize them in the order 1-6 but no battle swap. It's a challenge to see your strategy of putting the team together.
Propeller tail is the ability of Arrokuda/ Barraskewda It basically avoid move redirecting Moves like follow me, rage powder and abilities like Lightning rod, Storm drain don't work
To answer about Propeller Tail - it ignores things like Follow Me, Rage Powder, and Ally Switch in Doubles Battles and always attacks the selected target 👍 Another "good in Doubles but useless in Singles" type of ability.
Propeller Tail makes its user's moves ignore the target-redirecting effects of moves (e.g. Rage Powder, Follow Me) and Abilities (e.g. Storm Drain, Lightning Rod). But storm drain and lightning rod still work it's just that the user can't be redirected into hitting them when using an electric and water move respectively. So, it's only useful in doubles.
Next time you do this one small change would be if the person doesn't guess within 10 seconds the other person can decide to skip it for you. Like I'm sure Quick wouldn't have let him get that Grimsnarl
Dang Salamence and Palkia have same base spd stat, 100, stat difference right there. Also the fact that that big lumbering oaf is as fast as the sleek aerodynamic Salamence is a literal crime
Call me a lil bitch for this but it’s “so bestial”, also “so beastial” doesn’t anagram onto blastoise because you would miss an a but it does work with bestial😂
I have an interesting idea for a challenge. You have a total of 3 skips Or until you reach a team of 6 first No legendaries Also no pokemon that have no evolution If you catch a pokemon with multiple evolutions you will be allowed to choose which evolution you would like to make up for any downfalls your team may have. In this challenge if you catch a baby, it becomes fully evolved But if you catch a fully evolved pokemon, you must devolve it until its back to its baby form And if the pokemon has a middle evolution it stays as it is
Defo think you guys should do an ole school challenge again, gen 1-3 where you only get 15 mins to catch Pokémon with only great balls etc. something for the OG subscribers, really missing the vids you guys did when you first started
17:57 Dropping off this video because at this point, it's not even funny that GG played so insanely bad. Really came with a clutch team but lost in one of the stupidest ways I have seen on this channel.
I like this challenge but I think it would work better where I’d they don’t get it, the person who gave the anagram CHOOSES whether the other keeps it or not. That way if you failed Urshifu or Palkia, the anagram giver could say you have to skip it
Challenge Suggestion: Dupes challenge You both catch overworld encounters twice (the same pkmn) and then keep one and give one (based on moves/abilities). Both do this three times (or more if you want skips). You'll end up with the same team with different movesets. Might lead to interesting strategies
Get 3 or more random gym leaders, and then you can only catch the first 9 of the pokemon you see that belongs to thosegym leaders. For example You get Erika, and Pierce, and you can then catch Vileplume, tangela, victreebel, Scrafty, Malamar, Skuntank and so on. first 9 you see in any of the evolutions, but you get to fully evolve and then have 3 skips.
I think in addition to getting the pokemons, I say have a spinning wheel with items, berries. each spins it 3 times and is able to use the 3 random items on 3 pokemons. I feel like it can give those unused abilities that ya get a lot a chance to shine. And it’s also mind games for the other player to figure out what 3 items where pick and on what pokemon they put it on.
I think to make it more challenging and "punishing" for this challenge; if you DONT guess, and it was a good pokemon, the other person can choose to skip it for you. Its pointless if you dont guess but still get a GG legendary; then its like no punishment for failing.
You should do this challenge again but instead if you dont guess correct, your opponent decides if you keep or skip but if you guess right, you decide if you keep or skip.
A future idea. You guys spin a wheel with all the gym leaders from Pokémon fire red. Whatever gym leader you get you go catch Pokémon that you think they would use. Then fight. No skips and random move sets
Wasn’t the swoobat at actually really good with final gambit and minimize along with stored power if he could hav set that up he would have been incredible
Do a challenge where you got to pick TWO out of the three choices based on left middle and right gang. And the person has to choose one of the two and skip the other. No skips allowed once you make a decision. That be pretty cool
Fun idea :) For the next one, maybe you make so that if the person doesn't get the anagram right, the other person decides whether or not the guesser takes it. Edit: Looks like others felt the same way!
Would love to see this idea used again, though fully evolving everything kinda ruins the fun of getting it wrong. Maybe only fully evolve it if you can guess the pokemon?
I miss the days where you guys didnt fully evolve the pokemon, takes the fun out of some of these challenges in my opinion. Still love the content ofcourse 👍🏻
Do a challenge with a spinning wheel, with 16 categories, stater, fossil, legend, mythical, friendship evo, split evo, stone evo, trade evo, dual type, single type, regional variant, etc. But after you land on a category, it is eliminated, so after each spin it'll be one less category till they are all gone. Each of you will have 8 pokemon to make up a team.
