Thanks for demonstrating pre and post gain sounds, such an important but overlooked test in demos.

This is a killer gear review/comparison video. The differences are minor, and certainly not such that it leaves an obvious choice as to which I should buy. :)

Speaking of vintage EH modulation pedals the guys that played the vintage Rhodes piano all used the '74 E-H Small Stone Phaser .Don't get put off by the name Behringer. They have a very big respect from analog Synth players for there reissued clones of the old Arp, Moog etc synths. They are owned by Behringer but they run independently . They have their own factory and do a lot of hand wiring etc.to make Synths but they make a few pedals there. My point is they make the Behringer VP-1 Vintage Phaser. It even comes in the old E-H folded metal enclosure. A reviewer with his Rhodes compared the two and was thrilled that they sounded the same. So was I !!!

I have a big box Analogman Chorus ( not the Bi-Chorus), it's my Favorite and always on my board.

These are very close! I have the Analogman chorus and it is a great pedal.

Analogman by a whisker, both sound incredible.

Fantastic vid, as usual! I would probably go for the EXH myself. I prefer to run my modulation pedals pre-gain. I never had a choice back in the day and it just sounds better to my ear that way. Cheers!

🤘👍🏿 Another great review Joe. Is the absence of a level control an issue at all on either of these? I’m playing a Mythos Fates at the moment, which likewise has no level control, but it’s not an issue due to the JFET buffer in that pedal.

Hey man. I hope you see this. I also have a EH mini-chorus from the 80s. This is the crazy part... I thought I had the "Full-Chorus" for 25 years... then one day I looked down and saw "mini-chorus" and it just hit me. In that moment I realized my pedal was different. I had used that pedal for shows and never noticed it. lol I'm just trying to get more info on why is says Mini instead of Full.

seems to me the small clone goes faster than the mini chorus but the mini chorus has more depth than the small clone hard to tell since you never max it but if it set at two o clock on depth to match the small clone on full depth it just makes sense

For $90 (new) and $50 (used) you buy the version of the small clone they make now and it sounds great. And it's also true bypass. This is my thought. Congrats for your videos. I always follow them very willingly.

When people ask me "What's my favourite ... ?" I only have one answer ... Analogman :)

The Mini sounds super close doesn't it?

This time i only listened to the video and not watched it. They are almost identical. I'll probably choose the Analogman just because it has a depth knob instead of a switch

As I suspected they are identical and, if anything, the analogman's is slightly better. I am happy at present with the Mad Professor's Double Moon (which is more in the camp of the CE-1) but I started with the sound of come as you are as a teen and I will buy the Analogman's chorus one day 'cause that is for me the sound of chorus,

Analogman a thicker sound both pedals sound really nice though nice demo

Analog Man is a touch too bright, which is wrong. Small Clone is even, better.
