If Wi-Fi is used for firmware updates of the console and controller, I'm ok with it. I just hope Analogue is not thinking about any kind of DRM to implement on the console.

I would assume at the very least that an EverDrive-64 cart would work with it.

Officially, Analogue does not support Jailbreaks but, I have all Analogue consoles, and all of them get jailbroken by some company that looks and acts very similar to Analogue (I do believe it's the same people, but they just can't say it) And It's always super easy to do, and you can put the entire library on the SD card and play all games just like if they are being played through the cartridge.

EverDrive will work 100%. FPGA consoles act exactly like original hardware. But all Analogue consoles got jailbroken, so I will assume this will be too.

This console is FPGA, it's a modern recreation of the N64, it's nothing like software emulation. This will make N64 games look much better on an LCD than an original N64, and it will deliver the exact same gameplay experience has the original.

Nintendo can't sue Analogue because they are not using any Nintendo IP (intellectual property). The hardware is entirely in FPGA that recreates what the N64 hardware is, but there is no patent infringement.

@@SuperLifeCore I know about Analogue and their products but not having a legel leg to stand on wouldn't stop the big N from attempting to sue them into bankruptcy. They might claim the new fpga system infringes on their possibility to capitalize on their back catalog of IP's or that Analogue are attempting to pass themselves off as a Nintendo licensee because of the similarity of the shell of their system to the n64 design. I mean the sky's the limit for Nintendos excuses to sue a company or person into oblivion. They're so sue-happy I honestly think it's their side hustle 😂

Well, I guess it depends on the person. Some people will absolutely love this. If you don't see the value in this that's absolutely fine as well.

Emulation is also awesome. This is expensive but, the enthusiast of the N64 will appreciate it.
