Learn how to video and analyze your golf swing like the pros using your iPhone or Android camera and free apps to draw swing plane lines and understand how your club and body should move throughout the swing. The free software or app used is called Technique by Hudl and is available on iPhone and Android smartphones. Simply video your golf swing and draw the swing plane lines as instructed. Use the slow motion and freeze frame to identify swing flaws and learn how to correct them.
Golf professionals such as Tiger Woods, Rory McIIroy and Justin Thomas use video and computers to fine tune their golf swings using software to make sure their swings are on plane to hit the ball long and straight.

So the free version I just downloaded for my iPhone doesn't have the option for drawing squares/rectangles. Is that not an option anymore?

Gary, thanks for replying to our video. Did you use the app to video the swing or did your use the iPhone camera app to video the swing. If the iPhone default camera app was used to video the swing, the golf app cannot import the video by default. Try opening the app and then record the swing using the app recording functionality and not the iPhone camera app. Let us know how it goes, remember, the more you practice, the luckier you get!

The app that we use are for smartphones and/or iPads, you may want to try to video the swing and then use any type of graphical applications to draw the box and parallel lines on top of the video. Good luck!

Actually, it was a player by the name of Jerry Barber, but was popularized by Arnold Palmer and Gary Player but who cares. A very true quote either way :)

Correct, unfortunately Hudl stopped developing on Android, but as mentioned in our Face-on video, we have switch to Coachnow which is also free, there is also Swing Catalyst but we haven't used that app yet but looks like it also has the ability to draw the swing plane lines.

Coachnow now costs $40 per month if you want to record and store video.

Ross, I am glad you enjoyed the video, the "face on view" is available on our channel. A new video is coming about a 13 year old who has never picked up a golf club is now able to hit an 8 iron 125 yards only after playing for 2 months. His goal is to break 100 within 12 months.
