The translation of that message struck me as making something very clear: _they practice what they preach._ So much of that message felt like taking the core messages in the Xenoblade series to heart and actually using them directly for their company's philosophy. That's honestly pretty incredible. (Also I love the time paradox in the "Everyone is here" scene with Rex being visibly younger than his own daughter. It's just funny to me.)
The KOS-MOS model is slightly changed. Check the visor. It is opening/glowing like she’s about to use the hilbert effect. It looks way different than the way in Xenoblade 2 when it glows completely blue. Anyway, this anniversary special video made me cry tears of joy. KOS-MOS will come back to us… ❤ Dunno if it means anything but Xenosaga is the first and Last thing they show in the anniversary video. First it showed KOS-MOS on the ps2 in Xenosaga and then it ends with her Xenoblade 2 appearance before all the memories fly off into space and a golden Monolith Soft logo appears that’s very similar to the Zohar in Xenosaga.
I understand why but I wish the anniversary video included licensed games like Super Robot Wars and Attack of the Saiyans. Goku showing up in that video would’ve been the funniest thing ever.
@@DeebusIn Xenoblade 7 all the characters team up endgame style(including KOS MOS and the Xenosaga crew, meanwhile Gears would be getting Xenogears themed panties by SE), and they are getting beaten by U-DO When everything is seemingly lost a last portal opens up and you "i had heard that this U-DO guy is pretty strong" while you just faintly listen to the aura sfx from DB, then everyone looks behind and Goku with a Monado shows up, then everyone applauds.
His copium is higher than mine smh lol Honestly i'm still skeptic and i think that Luxin should watch out to not eventually be dissapointed, still, a man can dream.
At this point it feels like they have to at least release ports for 1-3. Like I hope for a remaster or remake of 1-3 that includes the supplemental stuff but after Future Redeemed and the stuff after like come onnnmm they gotta.
@@Magic_IceI'd be fine with 1 and 3 remaster (although i do think a Remake would do amazingly well for Xenosaga 1 that has a lot of things that could be way better), but 2 definitively needs a Remake. With that said my wish is that they do like the Xenosaga DS Xenosaga 1+2 Definitive Edition and then Xenosaga 3 Definitive Edition, but this is wishing too much, i think.
all this celebration told me is that Future Awaits isnt about Xenoblade, its about Monolithsoft's constant battle to achieve Perfect Works. Not to say I wasn't already suspecting that to be the case, but this is practically admitting to it.
Xenoblade 3 is entirely that. You could view Moebius as the endless now in terms of Perfect Works reoccurring endlessly and Ouroboros are the people that want to move forward and give hope towards something new. A true culmination of all the themes in the Xeno games. Although this video doesn’t confirm that Perfect Works is continuing or not, now it is probably time for Perfect Works II which will be something completely new plot wise until he feels the need to connect it to Perfect Works again.
I still find it to be kind of surreal that the studio that would go on to make many of my favorite games was founded on the exact day I was born. I'm just gonna chalk it up as proof that the universe has a sense of humor.
It’s still so funny to me when all the other characters show up that they show the other Blade protagonists walking up and then hit you with the KOS-MOS jumpscare
I was browsing the xenoblade reddit and when I heard about the anniversary, my first thought was, "what if Luxin or someone does a anysis on this". As soon as i open youtube this video pops up
32:09 Two reasons why KOS-MOS is next to XC1 casts in that order and not XC2. 1 - If you exclude XC3 in the middle, the ones in the back are in order of numbered/title released from right to left. 2 - Fiora and KOS-MOS have a history together in PXZ2. KOS-MOS is Fiora's new bff and vice versa Fiora is KOS-MOS's Shion lol (My headcanon XD)
I was hoping this would hit my feed, Luxin doesn't disappoint. A shame the vid was tucked away on Nintendos JP channel only, but I signal boosted it to my friends. I actually cried when everyone walked out at the end. Epic.
you should get 1 and 2. I'd say 2 had the best story even though Rex's VA felt kinda corny :| 1 has a nice story but the combat can take some time to get used to x)
Monolithsoft counts Future Connected as an extra chapter, not a DLC or separate entry. That's why you never see it presented the same way as Torna or Future Redeemed
I wanna say they were intending for you to see the characters representing the games from right to left to make it release order. That way you have KOS-MOS, then Shulk and Fiora, then Elma, then Pyra Mythra and Rex
I seriously popped off when they showed Namco x Capcom and Project X Zone. Forget Xenoblade X and Xenosaga, those are the Monolith games that deserved to get acknowledged these days
If I had to associate Elma and KOS-MOS with XC1 & 2, I'd say Elma goes on the XC1 side, while KOS-MOS goes on the XC2 side. But with Noah and Mio there, having them stand with the opposite sides instead of distinctly segmenting them is very fitting.
21:43 ATLUS and Falcom once again getting swept under the rug with Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, and Trails. Xenoblade was a Nintendo only JRPG that came out near the end of the Wii's life...
You're making me want to play Xenoblade 3 again. This anniversary video was wonderful. Monolithsoft is possibly my favorite modern day developer, I cannot wait to see what they roll out with next!
Let me live in the dream world a little longer that Monolith Soft is now working on a few smaller projects to "remake" or remaster other games to be on the Switch or Switch 2, while also working on the next main game that brings new versions of the Blade series characters together in one FINAL story! I always felt that especially 3 and FR raised more questions than it answered with their endings... 3 said that the worlds of 1 and 2 were restored, and FR merged them into one again, but we have no idea what that meant for our beloved casts of either game! Shulk and Fiora are straight forward, as they were "original" from a previous world, but both the casts of 2 and 3s timelines didn't seem to have an original version to be restored, so are we just left with one world with one new version of most of the casts that either remembers everything from all the timelines they were in, or even none of it, or does everyone now have a seperate identical twin if they had different versions like N and Noah and M and Mio? I never felt there was any solid logic behind who ends up where, and as what, when the worlds merged AGAIN after FR, and i hope this might be brought up in the next original game...
This was very surreal to watch in the middle of the night. And on the topic of the Xeno protags being portrayed at the end of their stories, Elma isn't so maybe this is a hint that her story isn't over yet.
I think that is more likely for them to make any direct connection to X first than any with Saga, but eventually i think that Tetsuya Takahashi will make both canon in some way
@@myboy732 well if you just look at the title and lyrics of each song, you can see that they apply perfectly to the next entry, xb1->fc->2->torna->3->fr, so this song is great material to speculate on the next xeno game
@@ZarkatorBeyond the Sky(XC2's Cloud Sea) > One Last You> (I have a faint idea of where it connects to Torna but probably that's related to how most of the cast dies on Torna) > A Moment of Eternity(Endless Now) > Where we Belong(I don't know for sure but it it hints at how the worlds are openly show to have merged again and seeing the old characters story conclusion. Also IF that blue meteor is KOS MOS, it could be she or maybe some kind of Spaceship be it from Elsa/XCX going back to Earth/Lost Jerusalem, additionally Future Awaits has a part that says "Will you give up or stay where you belong")>Future Awaits(Future Awaits is about how Monolith finally concluded their plan after the previous failed attempts and the lyrics are kinda meta with both the game's events and Monolith's journey, and it's about them telling us to be optimistic about the future of the series "I see you by the door, so just walk through don't take too long, because everything you said you will find it there, in our future...")
The youtube channel redirect thing isn't the first time that they have done this. There is also a super smash bros channel that when you click on it, it redirects you to their main channel from the country you clicked on it from.
my fav studio for sure.. do we get a snippet of a new xeno game when nintendo drops switch 2 news? cannot wait to see what they can do w more powerful hardware. (they are over-achievers as it is:)
Honestly though, I don’t think I have what it takes to support them for 500 years. Honestly, I doubt humanity will be in a position to play video games in 500 years.
Monolith chases profits just like everyone else. The difference is HOW they chase them. They make games that people ENJOY playing and want to continue playing more of, while most western game developers make games that push social agendas in a forced manner in order to appease companies like blackrock and other firms who set those as requirements for finance. Some people might consider what i'm saying as hateful, but the actual hate is from those few percent forcing their agenda into games where it doesn't belong. Ubisoft is a prime example.
why do you warn about xenoblade spoilers and not the xenosaga spoilers!!!! they literally show the ending of xenosaga 3 in that video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
probably should've watched more of the video, I always keep forgetting Super Robot Wars part of the title as I see Endless Frontier as a sub series with not too much relation due to only a handful of crossovers in it as everything else is very original at most references to super robot wars in those original characters as far as I know the only hole in the anniversary is the lack of reference to the Endless Frontier which Monolith developed for Banpresto I think after their move to Nintendo as a major developer. Related is that from the looks of things they somewhat snubbed Project X Zone in that they had both games sequestered to one orb unlike many other games getting their own orb per game. Wonder how Monolith feels about the crossover games they worked on looking at this, Possible it was only like that because by being a crossover they wanted to highlight their contributions though that makes it confusing Endless Frontier is mostly original stuff though maybe because it was remixing aspects of Banpresto's work (arguably Reiji and Xiaomu are already remixes of Kyosuke Nanbu and Excellen Browning so idk) down to the names of people or abilities being similar shame, Endless Frontier is the forgotten middle child of the crossover series they've done but it's arguably some of the most out there stuff Monolith's worked on (though probably because of the connections to Super Robot Wars which has it's own brand of insanity)
At 25:52 you mentioned this is a Xenosaga thing but I've been wracking my brain for like 20 mins now and idk what it is. Is it apart of what happens in the ending of Episode III or is just the inside of a UMN column? Seriously I cannot remember for the life of me...
