Interesting video, love the topic. There's so much to say about the symbolism/philosophy underlying the duality of these two, and there are a lot of potential parallels. You should check out the Japanese folktale "The Red Oni That Cried". I definitely agree with the mind/body interpretation, I hadn't thought about how it applied to Dante's lack of motivation. Probably the most overt reference is the juxtaposition of "style" and "concentration". Style is something physical while concentration is mental. An interesting detail is that Dante's amulet is silver and Vergil's is gold (in DMC3). There are a lot of interpretations for what that might mean, some that line up (god = divine, silver = earthly) and some that suggest the exact opposite (gold = sun, silver = moon). I like the idea that each of them possess an amulet that represents the other. I'm looking forward to the next parts. Your voice is lovely by the way, and the accent doesn't make it hard to understand. I'd definitely recommend scripting, solo recording and audio editing the next one. It's uncomfortable af for most people but the sooner you start the sooner you'll get more comfortable with it.

Don't worry a lot, Elayza. I have watched the oldest videos of countless big RU-vidrs, and they all were like you in the beginning :). Now idk, if you will pursue a career as a content creator or not, but if you do, with enough repetitions and practice, you will eventually become more confident in your ability to speak! Others have said this and I agree with them: Actually, Dante represents humanity, and Vergil represents devils and evil. Just look at what Vergil did for all that power that he keeps yapping about: Temen-ni-gru (he puts a lot of people in danger by opening a portal to the Underworld, but he doesn't care about that because all he cares about is power). Meanwhile Dante struggles with accepting his devil side (he hates that he is a devil), which can be seen in the ending song Devils Never Cry: "Steal a soul for a second chance, but you will never become a man". Overtime, he starts to accept his devil side, because it gives him power to protect the ones he loves, and he can protect humanity with it. Since he neglected his devil side and it's power, he didn't have a Devil Trigger... Also, the Rebellion has the power to combine/merge devil with man. It's strange how DMC5's Dante Battle Song goes against this (Subhuman). But it also implies that he struggles with controlling his demonic power, but that never happens in the game, so idk why they went with that

i don't know why the way you say your voice and accent is weak and you can't bring yourself to talk while devils never cry plays in the background is emotional lmao
