it is not password, where you just sacrifice and win. you need to calculate moves before sacrifice. Mostly I did exchange sacrifices. And some time I sacrifice queen where I saw clear Check Mate Line.
Pawn sacrifice ☑️ Piece sacrifice ☑️ Exchange sacrifice ☑️ two top players ☑️ deep preparation ☑️ Bishop pair from Hell ☑️ smothered mate variations ☑️ queen sacrifice variations ☑️ truly a monstrious game. My friends will go crazy when i show them this game in the library!
@@vikhyath. ofcourse definitely it is an Zugzwang because when you take it to the end game since black couldn't develop his bishop and rook and knight had no better squares but the game ended in middlegame itself Hats off !!!

At 10:30 , black is hanging two pieces AND an exchange, and taking ANY of them will cause an immediate collapse for white. I've heard of poisoned pawns, but a poisoned Knight, Bishop and Rook, all in the same position...is just insane.
@Ali Muhammed - You need to lose to bishop to take the other knight, so it is poisoned but I wouldn't say it's hanging. Regardless, I've never seen an attack like this.
@@JaswinderSingh-rd5lb Double the "smoothness". It doesn't change a thing on a 60Hz screen, but if you have a display that can go up to 120Hz or more, the video playing in 120FPS will look sharper than a 60FPS version of the same content
The players have faster responses in the game. If Anand moved his piece just a millisecond slower, it would have been sliced into little pieces by the Levon's knight. But thanks to 60 fps recording, each frame takes only 16 msec now, and the knight is just a millisecond too slow.
If anybody thinks here that Vishy cant be equated with players like Carlsen Hikaru Caruana... Come back here when these players play this much quality level chess like Vishy at age 52... Vishy is incomparable.
@sneekmatrix, you are right, but computers weren't as advanced as they are now. It's like saying, internet has been around since 2000s, so you'd have access to everything since.
Murat Ak ok but I still prefer Gary’s game😎 even my engine could not comprehend his rook move and thought his move was a blunder at first not until u continuate the game.... it’s Stockfish 10 btw....
@@jimpatrick3452 Perhaps, you're right, Kasparov's rook move was out of this world. I was replaying that game on a physical board and had to come to that position again and again until I was sure that I didn't miss anything. Good old non-digital days... (Sigh...)
Yes and lol believe it or not the engine really couldn’t UNDERSTAND IT! I was so surprised.... the engine said topalov should take the rook cus Gary’s move was a blunder but after u play the sequence .... and if u go back to that rook move it will say he should have moved his king like what Gary Kasparov said.... but I doubt most humans can find that move.....
Bishop at B7 was the most beautiful piece of the game. It was undefended throughout the game, moved once, and protected the queen in all the possible variations. Best Bishop ever and a silent warrior.
Though to be honest, its not as surprising. Most of the times when black or white fianchetto their bishops towards the enemy's castled king, this is a recurrent theme, and one of the most annoying things to deal with as the defender. I even keep a pawn on f3 to guard against it. Or some piece on f3.
Vishy's tactical brilliance never fails to amaze me. Looking at him I always thought he would have been a positional player during his best days. But soon I realised I was mistaken. Vishy hunts like a tiger.
Love @10:30 Tal’s principle, when two pieces are hanging go for attack with a third one coz your opponent has only one move at a time .....ha ha ha.... this is epic
Agad missed an important discussion - Vishy said in an interview that pawn to f5 was his favorite move in the game ... simply because while attacking it is hard to miss subtle tricks. Without f5 white Queen to h7 forces queens off the board resulting in Anand's attack fizzling out.
WOW! Thanks for pointing it out, I didn't get why it was played at first. It's indeed a very beatiful move. It seems so slow and weak, in a moment where you need strong, fast attacking moves otherwise white simply goes up the exchange. And yet it's necessary to fulfill the attack, and it's just in time, and it just gives white one more tempo in which it has no good moves. So nice.
This is definitely ONE of Anand's greatest games but I would have loved for Anand vs Lautier to have been nominated as Anand's immortal... I've watched it several times and it never ceases to amaze me...
@@smr6969 while this was brilliant, you obviously have not seem many games. Have you ever heard of Nezmedinov, especially against Tal? Have you seen the game Tal vs Fischer in 1960, one year before Tal was WC? Have you seen the game Kasparov vs Karpov 1984.... there have been some crazy games bud. See them then come back and talk!
@@smr6969 Infact, have you seen J.Polgar vs Anand - Polgar Immortal game....? that will bring tears to your eyes!!!! When you have the initiative - the tempo, you can have your opponent on a B-B-Q!!!!!
there is one!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-61dP343F0qI.html agadmator vs carlsen, perfect positional play by agadmator, unfortunetely carlsen played some blunders that lead to his victory.
Aronian and Topalov are some of my favorites to look up games because they want to PLAY CHESS. It takes two to make a masterpiece. Credit to these OG grandmasters who rarely play for a draw when they have a choice in the matter!
Ages before: "This position is such disgusting and difficoult that i'm not even going to analyze it now, you can do it by yourself" Today: //Analyzed everything//
@@VishalPJ a noob really..? U stupid or what? today’s GMs are learning from highly advanced chess engines like stockfish and at tal’s time there were no things like that, they have to work, analyse, and prepare everything by their own without the help of any engines like today’s GMs do and if tal was playing today then he would be on the same level as Magnus and Anand are. Don’t comment on anything which you don’t know anything about. think before you comment on anything or anyone next time.
@@VishalPJ AlphaZero , the strongest ‘noob’ ever, operated on the same lines as that of Tal - Activity over anything, and that noob destroyed the strongest engine back then. After Alpha, most of the recent AIs based on Neural Nets relies on Tactical shots and will not mind centipawn losses as long as activity is there. And Anand in his book mentions about Tal being one of his favourites and he learnt chess at the Tal School. The ‘noob’ here is you yourself.
Well, not really. Such a fierce attack as to overwhelm whites defense fast. If white gets time to untangle you are dead lost, due to being down on material. If you look at the last 5 moves, in some lines black has to sacrifice two additional pieces to achieve mate. The longer the game last, the more chances white gets to defend by trading down pieces until he can find a line where black just cant throw more material into the fire.
"Can you just say 'I don't want any pieces, can you please go away?' ...Not really." That, right there, is exactly why this is the only channel on which I will watch other peoples' chess games. That's what you get here that you can't get anywhere else. The commentary is absolutely beautiful. You keep posting, agadmator, and I'll keep watching.
Update: I wrote and posted that comment before the video was over, so I need to add: "He says 'Nope, this game is definitely not about material.'" And: "...g3, hoping that the knight will retreat or something, but there is no escape."
Ben finegold once analyzed this game .. he said that vishy had this prepared for the match with gelfand and never got the chance to play it. So aronian was really unlucky

i don't know why i smile every time whenever i watches this video , what a beautiful game this is . coming here after performance of anand in global chess league , 28 june 2023
Fun fact: This game is the first game mentioned in Jacob Aagaard's book "Grandmaster Preparation: Attack and Defense" as an example on how to use every piece into the attack.
That legend unfortunately will never come to fruition. There are over 10^123 games of chess possible. To put that into perspective...you cant put it into any perspective.
I watched both versions ...and I have to say Agadmator's commentary has improved a lot. This version is definitely better. More worthy of such a great game :)
16:29 "The bishop pair from hell are fully operational". Now that's a nice line there, we would definitely love a play list on the bishop pair from hell
I recall the first video, and I remember asking you if you would make a new one. You said you would - and now you have! Thanks :) one of my fav games of all time.
Paul Morphius: “Help your pieces so they can help you”. Anand: “I’ll take both pills.” P.S. I have no clue what Levon was supposed to do the entire game.
Congratulations on all your hard work and growth of this channel. It is inspiring to look back on the early videos and see how much the quality and analysis has improved!
I think most of us truly appreciate the beauty of this Anand immortal simply because we were explained all the major variations (ifs and thens) of this game. Otherwise, I personally would have missed so many things in this game if I was analyzing this game myself
Optimal use of each piece by Anand here! Excellent positional superiority! The Bishops, 2 knights & a Queen vs Kings side, Rooks also developed or ready for action! Nice. Thx!
Anand played and calculated the game like a god! Levon did a very wonderful job too to defend to the last moves where other player might've thrown and got checkmated in like 5~10 moves prior! Legendary game!
In the old video, he was either drunk or sleepy.. Everybody there felt bad,, There was not even any analysis, he just stated some moves thats all. So the new one is not only improved in FPS but also with Full Perfect and Superb analysis :)
If this was played against me, even if I could understand these moves as much as Levon could during the game, I’d have nightmares of being in such position and would be terrified of Anand
Next series suggestion: in addition to the actual series (whoever you choose), how about selecting a 'rising star or the month' and do a few games focusing one one new player, so we can get to know them better? Just to bring some variety, and broaden our awareness of who is out there?
