Anantara's luxury Resort set on the beach at west coast Sri Lanka. The Resort sits on a peninsula with an inland lagoon - super views of the coastline. A walk round from the beach, my Suite, gardens, lagoon, lobby and breakfast. The welcome ceremony on arrival is a nice gesture...

Forgive me but at the four minute mark, I noticed the sand wasn’t really that clean. There was a lot of debris on the beach near the lounge chairs. Question: is it safe to swim in the surf or is the wave action too vigorous and rough?

Yah, there was a guy on the beach sweeping up the leaves etc... swimming and surfing anywhere in Sri Lanka (it's not the Maldives where the water is smooth) - here strong currents etc so have to be careful...

Yah, I agree. The Resort is quite average. Stopover for me en route from the airport to the South coast...
