Pure raw energy with real attitude. Loved them then, love them now. Kicked the rock n roll world in the ass. Got to see them live at Winterland in San Francisco. It was their last show.
Real theyre as manufactured as backstreet boys. Their manager had to take them to the kink shop to get their outfits Is okay record. Rancid is much better tho, and opp ivy stomps them
I remember being in a record shop in Harrow called ‘Sellanbuy’ when I first heard this. I was browsing the albums when they played it over the store’s sound system & I thought “this sounds pretty good… actually this sounds really good… no wait… this sounds absolutely fucking amazing!!” Needless to say I immediately bought a copy & played it very loudly non stop for several hours - much to the annoyance of my neighbours!
The good old days when punk rock was the biggest threat to our society, shoot forward 48 years, this is like a Disney film. Our country is in big trouble
@@adrianfleming3437 Yeah, well now the economy is good and everyone is depressed and lonely and angry. The Pistols only sounded angry, they were a lot of fun. Not much fun today.
The sex pistols ...
@@zonalibrer3357 they were kids playing roles given to them by malcolm mclaren. the l'enfant provocateur role. scary punks that would terrify the stodgy old people. it was a blast for them, until it went too far. if anyone was responsible for Sid's death, it was fucking mclaren. pushing him further and further, getting him hooked on junk, encouraging him to attack the press and slash himself with broken bottles. look at how young they are. sid looks like a damn baby. no idea what was about to come down the tracks at him like a bullet train. christ the story of the sex pistols is sad and infuriating. fuck malcom mclaren forever.
What else do you want for them? Got asked to come and be inducted to the rock N roll of fame n non conformist Lydon turned it down. Recognised the world over for being punk pioneers. Strange they agreed to lipsync for this performance tho Don’t expect that from an anarchist 😂
Sex Pistols lo mejor ke le pudo haber pasado en el punk, anarchy in the UK El himno más grande del punk, saludos desde México para todos los punks mundo 🌎🌎
Was 14 when I heard the Bullocks LP radio debut out of Charlotte NC. I think it was 98 on the dial. Can't remember the call letters atm. The guitar tone set me on my ass.
I'm surprised a lot of people have not complained about how it's "punk not rock". To me it's Pop music. I listen to off the wall type shit. Sex pistols and the Ramones were Pop music in my book. Take care, my friends!
Has to be one of if not the most influential bands of all time imo....No Pistols No Clash all the way down the line up untill todays bands. 10 songs and we are still listening and talking about them nearly 50 years later....I'd say thats influential. (Imo)
I am a huge Stone Roses fan. If that wasn't obvious enough but no band at all made out my 43 years on this planet an impact on me as big as The Pistols. When my dad put this on after getting his old records out my jaw hit the floor when i heard this. Instantly i was like "who the fck are these guys ?" I was hooked from the first words i heard Johnny sing. His voice and Steves guitar was like a hammer to the head. And the rhythm section were driving the whole thing along with this glorious noise. I wanted to learn everything about them and the whole scene. My parents definitely shaped my taste in music and bands like The Pistols, The Damned, Stiff Little fingers and The Saints. Who i dont think get enough recognition.
read were they said to johnny rotten (lyndon) you shouldnt join a band you cant sing.......he replied (wich i love ) why.........who made the rules booyah love ya john xox
Some of our best-known singers didn't have the best singing-voices; David Bowie, Diana Ross, Mick Jagger, Elton John, Freddie Mercury &c; but they do have enough style to be able to carry it off.
I remember years ago when i was a production manager and I turned up to work in my Benz with this blasting out on the radio and one of the workers called guy just looked at me and said - production managers aren't supposed to do that - i asked him why not. We got on famously after that.
My grandma listened to these guys when she was a kid. Even to this day whenever I'm listening to Metal she's like "Turn that Shit UP!! I can Barely Hear It!!!" She also punched a kid out for listening to Ed Sherran 🤨🙁🤔
This band was really forward thinking, considering that the popular music of the time was happily being digested among the majority of British public..
Hate to say it but they are not, they may bee a pioneer of punk but if I remember correctly the stooges and New York dolls were rocking out while these dudes were little kids
@@Al-Hunt-acrylic-painter they did the British punk movement of the late 1970s and who, with the song “God Save the Queen “and on spotify u can see it written ''they did not create punk'' it already exist but not popular, sex pistol did the punk mouvement AND bc of them it became popular
My dad had me listening to the Sex Pistols from a young age. The Sticky Little Fingers too. So grateful I grew up listening to real music and none of the overly processed garbage pop music that my generation was saturated with. Wherever you are Da, thank you 😂❤
