I wish they would've made her Anastasia in the last season considering she'd look very similar to the Actresses who play Lady Tremaine/Victoria and Drizella/Ivy. And her disappearance would make their mom's dismissal of Ivy that much worse because she's prioritizing a daughter she barely knew over the one she has the one that stayed. And her treatment of Cinderella is that much more harsh seeing as she could've cared more about what happens to her as Cinderella also knows deep loss and could understand her. It would also be a kick in the stomach to Victoria if she was as old as her sister now as she missed all the formative years of Anastasia's life. And to add insult to injury Anastasia only misses Ivy and possibly Cinderella/Jacinda instead of their mom. Showing that Anastasia didn't like her special treatment or her mother's attention. showing how Victoria has truly pushed all of her daughters away. The One she Favored, The One she Looked Over, and The One she Abused/Neglected. Idk how they'd explain her disappearance or even how they'd rework the backstory. I haven't watched this show yet so obviously I don't know much. maybe to connect the stories one of Lady Tremaine's daughters always tries to leave no matter which world they're/we're in. Maybe Anastasia, Drizella, and Cinderella were playing in the forest and Anastasia found a rabbit hole and went in. It was Cinderella's idea and she didn't mean to lose her or have her disappear and that's the start of her mistreatment. I know the storyline of the love for her daughters is technically the same as the og plot but IMO this would've been slightly better and makes the witch's manipulation more devious cuz she doesn't have her or know where she is. How she'd get back Idk maybe we could have Alice do it or something but yeah.
