My favourite I used to do was, go into new gym looking old (was 50 to 60 years so I had experiance (10 yrs) but looked OLD). I would see who was doing bench amongst the big boys, when they hit 140kg to 180kg, ask to work between their sets, I would set up incline takes 5 seconds (l looking old and useless) and punch out 3 sets x 10reps at 140 kg, then when I had their attention, throw on an an extra plate on each end of bar (180kg) but then talk because they were busting by then to talk, never getting sets @ 180kg out just a few reps and chat between. I was small 82kg to 84 kg body weight and and 5 foot 9 inches tall. Next I would wait for busy time and ask to work between their sets (big enough guys), they might have 220kg on deadlift, so instead of taking off plates as they expected, I would throw on and extra 2 x 20 kg plates and punch out 3 x 10 rps. I NEVER GAVE ADVICE, JUST DID MY THING QUIET AND UNASSUMING.
