1. Absolutely love your videos dude. 2. Much higher than what people expected them to be. Because they only thought about James's recent performances. Ancelotti has somehow found a way to unlock prime James and i think that will prove to be difficult for other teams to beat in the future
Everton are playing some really great football. James was certainly the bargain of this window, especially when you consider that we paid 75 million Euros for him in 2014/2015 and let him go for free aged 29. We should have atleast got 35 to make it up in lost salaries for last season and extended our leverage in terms of finances post-corona. I’m sure Florentino is kicking himself now
The game against Liverpool will test how good they really are. It could just be a run of form that would go under the radar if it was midseason but because they're top everyone's taking notice. Or they could seriously could be a threat to Liverpool's title if they win.
Ancelotti’s tactics for this season is more balanced version of modern football tactics. I'm in love with the Italian manager right now which happened 10 years ago with the Spanish manager. Pep,Bosque(2008-2012) was one of the best in history of football. They made me love football. And now Conte,Carlo and Pirlo ❤️ Very modified, conservative and balanced football.
So happy to see James playing this important role with all the possibilities he offers in attack due to his passing qualities. As always great analysis!
Ancelotti is pure class and is cut from the same cloth of the greatest Italian tacticians in the game's history. If Everton manage both their consistency and fitness, I'm sure they'll challenge the league's status quo
Ancelotti has worked wonders: the change in formation to 4-3-3, the firing and replacing of medical/physique personnel, the urgency in our team's play to name just three factors. He hasn't done this alone. Nor have the players. He clearly needed new midfielders and someone with then passing game skills to control possession. Knowing what he wanted, sporting director Marcel Brands then had to get those players. Didn't he just! Though I'm not exactly the Everton board's #1 fan, they've done a superb job in consistently helping their managers do their jobs too.
@@EmpressTouch I'm not even an Everton fan. But I have a whole lot of respect and love for Carletto. One of the best there ever was as both a player and manager
Amid all the wrongs that took place at Goodison last Saturday, there were many positives too. It means EVERYONE on Merseyside can now hold their heads up high. And as far as I'm concerned: that's how it should be.
@@EmpressTouch I remember the glory days between 1981 and 1990, when Liverpool and Everton appeared in the Charity Shield 11 times between them. My Dad took my brother and I to Wembley in 1984 and 1986 to see them play each other (I'm an Evertonian, my brother a Liverpudlian). Great times!
Ancelotti likes his winger to come inside and form part as a Striker when the ball is in his opposite side! And he loves his RB and LB to overlap and helps in the attack! This reminds me of the AC Milan of 2006/2006/2008... he used a Christmas tree formation in Milan, but the movement was mostly the same !
This Derby is going to be amazing. With Thiago Alcantra and Sadio Mane back as well as Ex Real and Bayern Munich player James Rodriguez at Everton... this definitely is a game *while watching* ! ... Who is going to win and what will the score be?
Excellent content as always, I am a huge fan of your work... it's a pity we don't see people like you solicited on Broadcasting channels... 3 min with you are more educative than endless chats on BT bein sky Sets ... big love from Morocco. Keep up.
Everton are proof that football tactics are not as important as having quality footballers. While you must have a proper scheme, having talent is a must. Nevertheless, great video as always! (Like the way you lead with Everton's transfer moves)
Anything can happen this season but if Arsenal can hit their ceiling this season my prediction is: 1. Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Everton 2. Liverpool, City, Arsenal, Everton 3. Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, City 4. Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, City, Leicester 5. Chelsea, Arsenal, Everton, Leicester 6. Spurs, Utd, Leicester 7. Spurs, Utd, Leicester
Great video, as always! I liked the graphics a lot, and of course the clear explanations. On the other hand, I personally think the music disrupted my concentration.
great analysis! even with a strong start, they still have to prepare for the long haul, especially the defense. If they can keep that xg against metric low, champions league spot is guaranteed.
Great video this. More of that please! Your videos had been starting feel too simple at times making them kind of boring/unimaginative, but this is nice. 👌🏾👌🏾
His sacking at Real Madrid was one of Florentino's biggest mistake. Like yeah he didn't win any main titles in his second season but that had more to do with many injuries in the second half of the season while also having to compete with one of the best Barca sides of all time and Atlético that had just won the league. He still barely lost the league to Barca by 2 points, lost to Atleti in the cup and barely lost to Juve in the CL to prevent a Clasico CL final. All were highly respectable losses, he deserved more patience after winning La Decima. Although I'm happy things ended up working out with Zidane. I really hope his Everton team can qualify to Europe and maybe even win some silverware (FA cup/EFL cup maybe?) Ancelotti is a legendary manager.
All sides have moved on stronger for the experience. Real Madrid will never be a job for life and Carlo's going to be Numero Uno manager in the world in everyone's eyes the way he's turning things around at Goodison Park.
The big problem on countering this team is that they are comfortable going long as well as playing from the back.Boi ohh boi this time the Merseyside derby is gonna be more exciting than EVER
I think people overhype them as usual. Yes 4 win in a row is nice, and the transfers have been spot on so far. But beside Tottenham we are talking about teams like West Brom and West Ham pluss a shaky win over Crystal Palace. Now Liverpool comes on visit and that is a different challenge. Still the time could never have been better. Everton are in great shape and Liverpool are lacking key players. A win there would tell us more if Everton is a contender for top 4-6 or not. A loss, back to square 1, but still a solid season start.
Everton can win the League as they do not have Euro distractions. December will be crucial. They will be the new Leicester.. I think they will beat Liverpool - Liverpool fan speaking here.
No mate just wait let them face a competitive teams like Leeds, City ,ars, chl, thats the perfect test gonna be Liverpool will beat them mark my words- from United fan.
The best tactic is always be prepared. Must be preparing for injury players. Doesn’t mean now you winning in a row but if certain key player injure, will it perform the same?
@Alex Kanyima & @Jerrod Tham: From June 21st this Summer we saw Ancelotti take such an imbalanced squad and literally model the Everton starting team to play against each opposition's strengths, rather than our own, only because of players we needed, but didn't have. Thankfully the transfer window opened and he, Brands and Moshiri got personnel sorted and with fitter, stronger players we can now take the game to the opposition. Effectively, the 4-3-3 formation not only gets the best from all players, it is the most flexible of formations too - for when Allan slots into sweeper-mode the full-backs can become wing-backs (3-4-3) as this superb video highlights.
You know what Video would be nice too, how Mourinho has got the best out of his forwards scoring many goals? Or Mourinho new Tactics Great content tho. Very witty
Interesting you should say that. Jose Mourinho used a far more conservative 4-3-3 formation in his first 39 months at the Bridge - to great effect. Similar backing from Abramovich - although completely unrestricted spending is a luxury others would love to have today - though the 'Special One' made the most of such opportunities and deserves praise for it.
Correct. Remember us looking to bring Rafael Benitez back to Merseyside, but the Spaniad didn't believe he could get much from that imbalanced 2019-20 squad, despite Rafa's fantastic work for Liverpool being undermined by pathetic directors? Ancelotti put his reputation on the line for the sake of a massive challenge. So far, he's delivered big-time - as has nearly everyone else at the club since...
He never won throphies with 4-4-2 glad he switched. Still 3 more needed to secure UCL maybe even title. With the team they have now top 7 is a must. N.Pope for Pickford Max Aarons for Kenny if he fails Zaha or Sarr for Walcott
@@jerkov420 No it was 4-3-1-2 / 4-3-3 / 4-2-3-1 Few games played with 442 but it was mostly a Diamond 4312 like Milan days. I repeat he achevied nothing with 442 formation. His most successful where 4-3-1-2 / 4-3-2-1 = Milan & Chelsea 4-3-3 = Real Madrid 442 = Napoli failed and PSG He tried it with Juventus didnt go well so he switched too 3 - 4 - 1 - 2 He tried it with Everton too first season and failed with consistency. Now he is using a mix of 433 4231 4321 And probably gonna try a back 3 as well later on in the season to protect result. #DonCarlo #COYB
@@jerkov420 yes its classed as it but you play it 4-3-1-2. Ancelotti used 4 - 4 - 2 flat at Napoli and Everton and it failed. He is adjusting his tactics to EPL with modern football and the players he has.
More and more teams are playing Liverpool or/Klopp’s way, workmanlike midfield offers solidity, control and can be done on a cheap instead of spending 100 million on a midfielder and praying he works out, even Manchester United tried it last year before pandemic with decent results
Great video analysis. I'll be taking each game as it comes and when complete thinking of the next. Genuinely think Everton can beat Liverpool and I think top 6 is very possible. Consistency is the key and without serious injuries or Covid I think getting into top 4 is possible. Let's see the table after Christmas and get a better view of the consistency.
More urgency to win the ball back. And to pass it more quickly too. Superb work by Ancelotti, Brands & Moshiri to locate, negotiate and transfer his services into our starting XI.
Saturday 17th October will be the tenth anniversary to the day since Everton last beat Liverpool (first teams).... 2-0 Everton (twenty-one years, one month and ten days, 27th September 1999, since Everton last won at Anfield, 0-1 but that was only with Liverpool's captain AND goalie sent off ;)
Let's hope so. But bear in mind Covid-19 robbed Ancelotti of a full pre-season that a severely lower fitness endurance needed addressing. Thankfully, the firing and replacing of the entire medical and physique staff seems to have been a wise move so far.
Very similar to 2016 spurs: attacking fullbacks: rose walker digne Coleman Right winger drifting into attacking midfield: Eriksen and James Left winger cutting inside for shots: son and richarlison One defensive midfielder: Allan and Dier One box to box: doucoure and dembele Only diff is alli playing as a second striker vs Davies as a CM
Ancelotti is a good and experienced manager. However I think he hasn't been tested enough. I think leeds would be tough for them to beat Or liverpool who likes to press high won't allow them to build up as good as they did with other games
@@nathanbrown4470 @Choppy & @pwhak 88: He was brought into a very struggling and imbalanced squad. Ideally he needed another season in Germany as he seemed to be enjoying his game there, but as this video highlights high workrate from all 4-3-3 players means both full-backs need to cross well a lot. Coleman can only carry this work burden to an extent, so Kenny's reintroduction is a necessary one. Those teenage years didn't offer much hope, but JonJoe can play now - in a team that functions well. Everton now can field a very strong TEAM. Consistency in high performance from all is the key now.
The biggest reason for Everton's success is, of course, James Rodriguez. If he, Richarlison and Calvert Lewin stay healthy Everton can end up in top 4.
