At a young age, she witnessed the opening of the Eiffel Tower, and she even met Vincent Van Gogh at her father’s shop in Arles, and she sold colored pencils to him as well. When she died, we had the internet

She said she saw the Eiffel tower being built during her honeymoon, but it had been completed long before. Her father was a ship builder, not a shop owner. The shop belonged to her husband but her story of meeting van Gogh there was full of inconsistencies. In 1933 her signature suddenly changed as seen in archived documents. The errors in her stories make more sense if she switched identities with her daughter at that time.

Fun Fact: She’s the oldest certified person but there could actually be people older than her age at death that still didn’t get certified.

She lived an extraordinary life and even met people like Van Gogh. You could also do later Louis XV's life through time. His reign was crucial and indirectly developed the main ideas for the later French Revolution.

Similarly to Abraham Lincoln's great-great grandson. His last living descendant died in 1985, but his wife lived until 2004. According to ancestry, which says she was born in 1904, that would have made her 99 or 100 years old. But, ultimately it meant that Lincoln's family tree ended with her (if you include marriages.)

Are you planning on doing Henry VII by any chance since he does have technically 2 pictures you could use one as a child and the other is battle of Bosworth but I would be fine if you used photos of places he was at and maybe use more than one picture for 1485

Another crazy thing is that both her daughter and grandson lived until the age of 36 (I know Frederic's death was a fatal accident), and that she had already lived 12 years before the Eiffel Tower started construction. By 1997, the world had been through the Titanic sinking, 2 World Wars, the first space ventures and the first moon landing, many films and musicals (including Mary Poppins, my favourite!) and the first Harry Potter book had already been published (just)! Absolutely incredible, so nearly made it to the Titanic premiere and the turn of the millenium. What was a shame is that she didn't even have direct great grandchildren. FASCINATING, I CANNOT STOP THINKING ABOUT IT, JAMES!

2 inaccuracies that i noticed is that this video says that Frederic Billiot died in 1964 when in real life he actually died in 1963 but you are right that he died in august from a automobile accident and the other inaccuracy is that the countdown on the years before birth how the video started in the year 1723 it should have been 152 years not 151 or u would be saying Jeanne calment was born in 1874 instead of 1875.I am not trying to be rude i am just telling that u made a mistake and it’s ok because we all do nobody is perfect except god.

With the latter point, it takes the month into account. If the person was born in March 1723, that would make it not 152 years until Calment's birth, but 151 years and 11 months. It simply takes that into account.

Yeah i agree with the theory that Jeanne Calment died in 1934 and her daughter stole her identity because of some facts i researched like how she would tell stories about the maid taking her to school ever though she was a decade younger than her and also how she would “accidentally” refer Fernand as “my father” before “correcting” herself to “my husband” and even with the fact that in 1994 the city of arles(her hometown incase you didn’t know)inquired about Calments personal documents for some reason only to find out that she ordered someone to burn them.
