Ancestors - The Humankind Odyssey - Apex! Hunting (1/3) - Mass production of Sharpened Sticks (4K) 

In the first part for the Apex! Hunting (achievement), preparation is king, when hunting Big Game (or fending off any predator), at the later stages of Ancestors - The Humankind Odyssey**
3 prerequisites are absolutely necessary to ensure your survival at the Savanna:
Unlocking the "Bipedal" ability (shortcut: walk in water as much as possible)
Unlocking enough "Combat Neurons" (Motricity) to be able to handle big animals (also cats)
Use adequate protection for the Savanna Heat (Aloe Sap Paste, water source or mud)
Tip 1:
Making base camp close to a mud patch, is ideal and will save a lot of time harvesting and preparing ingredients (assists with bleeding, smell and heat exhaustion). The camouflage protection that mud provides, comes in very handy, with less frequent surprise attacks happening.
Tip 2:
Use common sense and venture out, either very early in the morning or late afternoon/evening, to avoid the worst the Savanna will throw at you.
Lastly, to ensure the survival of your clan members, equip them all with dual Sharpened Sticks, which can also double down as a "limited" supply for your main controllable Hominid, before returning to camp for re-stocking. Keep in mind, they need to hold a weapon in their "right hand" to be able to wield it.

** Preparation takes under 5mins (if nearby resources are available), setting your clan up to even survive unscathed (mostly) any surprise Machairodus (big cat) attacks while out hunting (requires the Self Empowerment neuron unlock, under Communication).
