You know, I might totally be imagining this, but if the Carell/Wiig scenes here happened in the order they appear in the video, I've always gotten the sense that part of the reason Carell breaks so hard on "Grimgrom" is that he's trying to make Wiig feel more comfortable since she obviously feels anxious about breaking on her first day. Might be making it up but that's how it struck me + by all accounts he's a really nice guy.
I think you’re very much underestimating her (seems a bit sexist to be honest). She had more than ten years of filming work under her belt at this point, as well as four Emmy nominations. She’s clearly making a joke about it being her first day. She’s also known for breaking scene in her SNL sketches. It’s hilarious. He just laughs so hard because she is very funny not because he needs to make her feel comfortable.
Again ... Brilient outtakes from a brilient film! But we dont need the "music" in the background ... its already funny! We are not idiots .. We dont need it to be embellished with a music background. Its funny enough .. we can take it on face value, stop putting music to it. :)
