@@hiphip4808 At least this particular image seems to have been first posted by a russian JoyReactor account named Mobiligidus! It's not so much porn, as it is just a stalker version of the "Hey shitass, catch!" meme ^^ Gonna try to post a link to the post in another comment, youtube tends to just outright hide/delete comments with links it doesn't like xP
This makes me think off all the mods people have put their blood sweat and tears into, just for nobody to even see it. I'm not just talking about Stalker either, there is likely so many mods people have made for so many different games that nobody has ever even seen, and maybe even will never see. Of course there is plenty that are quite low quality and not really worthy of your time, but I'm sure there might just be a masterpiece of a mod just sitting there waiting for someone to find it. I want more people to start making mods, they don't have to be good, they never are on your first try, but it can be an absolute blast once you get the hang of it. Though modding isn't for everyone, its definitely worth a shot.
fun fact: there were stalker mods made even before soc released. A multiplayer build got leaked way back in the day in i think 2004-2005 and people modded it adding maps
Ive played my fair share if anomaly but i hate the culture that it and gamma have given the series. Causing people to see these games as ultra fuck you simulators. And of course people are gonna play the better looking free mods rather tgan buying the games. I thing anomaly is great but these people are gonna have major whiplash going into stalker 2.
@@solidone4237 I didn't say anomaly is bad, I just find it annoying when you search stalker you mostly find anomaly what is bad because it over shadows so many great mods, and I'm sick of "but anomaly is better looking anomaly this and that" you can't compare anomaly to other mods because one is a sandbox and the others are survival horror with an actual story. And I'm sick of the cod/tarkov kids that tell other players to skip the trilogie. Anomaly can't reproduce the atmosphere that the original games have and never will. I hope you can understand me. And yes anomaly can be fun but is long term nothing for people who want a real stalker game and not a sandbox.
@@The_great_M0N0LITH don't get me wrong anomaly is great and i respect the efforts of the devs but it shouldn't be the first thing people think of when stalker is mentioned.
also uh i just realised but i said like "of course they are gonna play the better looking mods" what i meant is people skip the trilogy cause they see it as old and outdated which i don't agree with.
That's basically how all the uniques in Stalker work. Take one of the already implemented guns and change it's properties so that it reflects an actual real life weapon rather than model an entirely new thing to implement the real deal. A cheap but effective way of giving the world some flavor.
Dark Ukraine feels like predecessor to Misery - empty, dark and lonely, while New War feels like predecessor to OP 2.1.. Nvm ABC Inferno surely feels more like OP 2.1
Stalker ABS Inferno has a working Wish Granter. You can choose 7 different wishes that were false endings in original game. It plays ending movie and then grant some wishes. I remember you could get money, irradiated blue exoskeleton with best stats, artifact with heavy radiation and great stats. One of the choices turns you into zombie, changes your faction to zombie(can be healed by Sidorovich) and most of them spawn tons of enemies in Wish Granter chamber.
ABC Inferno! God, I never thought I'd see that mod ever again. Truth be told, the English version on Moddb works way better than the Russian one, so I'd say try again. Majority of the issues are adjustable in various ini and script files per readme if I recall correctly.
Ah, man. Fucking ABC Inferno. The thing that I will forever remember that mod for is that it's creator apparently incorporated the code for the sleeping bag from either the original OL mod or the earlier versions of OGSM, and made it easier to implement, so other modders took his simplified implementation and made sleeping bags available for pretty much everyone. And the OL/OGSM guy was so salty about this that all future versions of mods that use his version of the sleeping bag have a comment on the script bitching about ABC Inferno's creator. Ah, fucking STALKER modding. There's so much of that salty shit in the history of this community.
crazy to see how much of the cut content for enemies was in-game only a few months from release. All this time I had thought that burers/zombies/fractures were recreated later and back-ported from other mods made later. since thats the case I wonder why they hadn't used any for Clear Sky. Great vid btw
@@xXRealXxoblivion lost remake spawns like 500 helicopter to kill you as soon as you start the game, i'm really thinking of the vanilla game but with cut content re-added
@@guardianangel379 my personal favourites are OGSE (and OGSR) and Oblivion Lost Reamake. My favourite ancient mod is Avto Zona. My first stalker copy was a pirate-dvd with this mod. The actual original game (licenced copy), what I bought a year later, was worse IMO.
Actually, I would say the most recognizable trio consists of Hidden Anomaly (in my opinion, the least modded mod ever known), New War (which restores some of the cut mutants), and Autozone (which adds drivable cars). At the time, it was really difficult to find a content filled mod, which I believe ABC Inferno actually is. It is probably the last and only big mod I played for SoC, considering that new games were coming out each year. As we progressed into 2009, I continued searching for new mods for the new games leaving behind older series eventually and losing track of what stalker modding was about to became in the years following.
The moment you started checking for the free suit + stacks of 9x19 ammo in garbage, I knew you were OG player lol. You probably know of the 9x18 mp5 hidden in the tunnel of Garbage too. ABC Inferno brings me back memories, just like Oblivion Lost and AMK 1.4 . Love your style and presentation on these videos.
First mod I ever played was Oblivion Lost 2.2 back in 2008, so seeing gameplay of mods older than that is like gazing into Another World! 1:06 In Oblivion Lost 2010 (which is merged with Arsenal Overhaul and Atlas Spawn), he gives you a recalibrated Arisaka in 7.62x54R and 20 rounds for it (plus the five that are already loaded). Also, there's an AKS-74U in a backpack in the attic of the hut next to him and 200 rounds of 5.45 in the blue footlocker in the middle of the village. 2:41 Does the MP5 fit in your pistol slot? It does in some mods. If there are functional vehicles in a ShoC mod, you can use any slot-2 weapon while driving. SMGs and machine pistols are best for that, but wielding a sawed-off shotgun while driving is just plain fun. Makes you feel like Mad Max. 3:42 A yet-to-be-remodeled Saiga 12. They were probably planning to rework the in-world and in-view models at some point. Could be thought of as a "stand-in." Can you put a GP-25 on it? Detachable mag-fed shotgun + grenade launcher = perfect monster hunter's weapon. 6:28 / 6:34 So you use 40-mils on a horde of "hamsters," but not a pseudogiant?! It could be that specific enemies have an odd resistance to explosives. That was definitely the case in older versions of Oblivion Lost. You could take down a chimera easily with a few buckshot blasts, but they had an odd resistance to explosives, even 40-mils to the face (or "faces" in their case). And buckshot did better than 40-mils against pseudogiants too. In Lost Alpha, 40-mils obliterated pseudogiants just like they do in CoP and most of its mods (including but not limited to Anomaly w/ or w/o GAMMA-go-nuts a go go). 8:09 Great thing about psuedogiants in ShoC and its mods is that you can "dodge" pseudostomps with perfectly-timed jumps. I'll never understand why they took away that ability in Clear Sky, nor why they left it like that in CoP. It doesn't make them more challenging. It's just a cheap way to force the player to use cheap tactics. It's more fun (and more challenging) to battle them toe to "toe" (?!) with a shotgun, dodging their pseudostomps using the intuition you've honed from experience in the Zone...especially when there are two to four of them! More than four (actually more than three) and dodging all those stomps becomes almost impossible to time just right. That's when it's "40-Miller time!" 9:44 Zone Sportsmanship style! Speaking of which, wanna try yer hand at some Zone Sportsmanship Challenges? That mod looks like it would be perfect for it. Mutant spawn count is so ridiculoid that you might not even need a spawn menu/debug mode! 11:42 / 23:23 What's with the Garand-style ping? 11:45 I wanna play as a fleshpig so I can frolic in a zoney-go-nuts meadow of demented do0m! 🙃 13:46 So this mod came out in 2007, and the modders figured out how to make the LR-300's sights look right and line up right. So why didn't GSC do the same thing for the LR-300 in Clear Sky and CoP?! I'll never understand that. Never mind the endless flapping of the dust cover. 20:20 / 22:43 What's with the "tinny" metallic sound? 24:47 Two words: Lament Configuration. There are some other mods that implemented that. 26:25 Tarkovsky vision! 26:55 I think it was because of the barbed wire and the zombie rather than it being random.
Thanks for the interesting look and deep digging here! Some ideas look like they could still work today. I did notice that old and new mods still have NPCs who'd do a moonwalk in the midst of a firefight.
Dark Ukraine looks like the continuation of Call of Pripyat where the population of Zone have decreased drastically and only a few Stalkers have remained in the Zone, the loot is scarce and artifacts are no longer the same as before.
Of course I will subscribe if Sid asks me so nicely. Id love it if you make more of these old mod videos. Brings back memories :O Do Oblivion Lost 2.2!
I played a lot of early mods. Way before Clear Sky even, just for SoC. As far as I remember there were no big mods back then. At best "big mods" were just mod packs. First big mod that tried something diffrent I ever palyed was Priboi Story. ABC Inferno I played later, but from what I remember it should be called crash to desktop simulator, but that's STALKER for you. What a blast from the past.
we have saiga at home :) *saiga at home* edit: i need to know what that music is xD edit 2: yo using artefact activation for those portals is a cool mechanic
I really enjoy your videos but sometimes I have troubles reading the text, if you would make a small gap between texts where there is no text it would be so much better to notice the change in sentences.
0:36 Holy jesus And people called me crazy for bringing it up whenever I tried to explain my first ever experience wit the STALKER game and how the very first lab turned out to be a a survivor horror. Not to mention about the Yantar's anti-savescam glitch 💀
First mod i have played was AMK mod... I thought stalker wouldnt affect me. Now, 15 years later, i have two sunrise suits, a collection and my own stalker movie lol :'D Man, its kinda fun to look back at those times! We are so lucky with the present modding community, delivery so much quality content. Things were different back then...
I remember downloading DMX+AMK overhaul as a kid and having a blast. It's roided out stalker shoc which took some krokodil in the basement of a drug lab.
I was there... The old ABC mods, people stealing and repacking the first Oblivion Lost to high hell, the cursed Build 1935 remakes, Solyanka... And the OG Stalkerfiles, rest in peace. We've come a long way, huh?
I remember playing first time, that was New War. At the entrance of the Agroprom you meet 200 ghost zombies (and every of them not even bullet sponges, they literally almost immortal) and other high tier enemyes like controllers. I thought that is original design:) i spent hours to save Mole, one of the hardest task in gaming history.
i actually remember playing ABC inferno back when i was probably barely even old enough to be considered pubescent. my childhood was something else, great times
Tubers who put a playlist of the music they use in the description belong to the 7th circle of heaven where everything they desire appears before them before the words come out of their mouth. Also enjoying the video, thank you.
Newsa Simbion was a good one, it was ABC Inferno+AMK+Newsa with a lot of crazy weapons like Fn2000 with uranium missiles and bulletts, armed APCs and mi24s spawning everywhere, a lot of bugs and crashes, funny as hell
It's not one of the older mods, but one fairly obscure mod which I think about all the time is War Correspondent. It's about the 2014 war in the Donbass and it is very charming due to being terribly made and also created from a certain political perspective. It received a hand made English translation and was available on ModDB although I believe it was removed from there after recent events.
Wow this even older than the Last of Us 2 (Thank GOD they remastered it!) I mean, did they even HAVE computers back when S.T.A.L.K.E.R. came out? LMAO!
What does "Распознаетаномальныеполянабольшейдистанции" mean? I can read it and I can say it. Which I'm pretty proud of. Seems like a bunch of russian words crammed together I understand.. anomaly. Greater/bigger. And I think distance?
