The Xyz monster needs the "If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate any Spell/Trap Cards until the end of the Damage Step" text I think, otherwise it's probably not worth making over 2 piercing golems that don't care for mirror force and d-prison. I don't think people would play Relic really, I mean you could but you shouldn't want to if you don't have Ancient Gear Cycle. You're just going to use Ancient Gear Cycle on whatever Ancient Gear is on the field anyways, it doesn't matter which non tribute one. Because of that you don't really need to swap any out for new draws, and it's effect isn't needed because you can just Ancient Gear Cycle during your opponents turn. Also I think Relic is bad if you don't have cycle because then it's vulnerable to cards like Crimson Blader that would shut down a lot of the deck, making it a Tuner I think would bump it's versatility a lot, with the ability to make star eater with any of the level 8's, also with the ability to synchro black rose you can clear the field, geartown effect and bring out an ancient gear for a direct poke :). Tell me what you think about my ideas.
Ancient Gear Titanium should be called Ancien Gear Titan. Anyway Dark Magician should get more support. Both Red-Eyes and Blue-Eyes got a whole lot of support so I think it's only fair Dark Magician get more support.
3 cards i would make for support my ancient gears would be, a Lv3 tuner gemini monster, "gemini ability" you can add a Lv2 machine monster to your hand, the name its alwyse treated as "ancient Gear" Magic card, Ancient Change, send a ancient gear monster in your hand to draw 2 cards Trap card, Ancient Tribute, this turn you can normal summon a Ancient gear monster with out tributing any monsters
Ancient Gear Power Plant is waaaaaay to splashable in other decks.Basicly you set it facedown and if your opponent is a noob and blind MSTs it.....They fucked up.Just like with the artifacts.
Ok i like the ideas behind it i think ancient gear are lacking but i think its field presents and hand advantage relic should be tribute this card to add one ancient gear card to your hand and power plant should be like transmodify "powering up" the ancient gears. I like the quick play but make it ss from grave only

My idea: Ancient gear colossus Rank 8 Earth Machine 4000 ATK / 3800 DEF 2 level 8 "Ancient Gear" monsters If this card attacks, your opponent cannot activate cards or effects until after the damage step. If this card would be destroyed, you can detatch one xyz material instead. If this face-up card on the field is sent to the graveyard, target one ancient gear golem in your graveyard, and if you do, special summon it, ignoring it's summoning conditions.
Make Titanium Union With this Effect/ Union Lvl 4 Earth Machine 1500/1000 "If you control a face up Ancient Gear Monster you can Equip this Monster to that face up Ancient gear. While equipped, the equipped monster gains 1000 attack or defense based on its current battle position and all gains this effect - This Monster can not be destroyed by battle. After battle with a monster, (apply damage normally) if the monster is still on the field, you can send it and this equipped monster( Ancient Gear Titanium) to the grave. "
Here's a monster I would make: Ancient Cog Level 1 Atk: 0 Def: 0 Effect: This card is treated as 'Ancient Gear' while on the field and in the graveyard. Effect2: While this card is on the field, 'Ancient Gear' Monsters can be special summoned to the field with one less tribute than normal. (You can use this the turn you summon this card too, allowing you to summon Ancient Gear Beast and the like for free, or start with them and sacrifice them for Ancient Gear Golem immediately) Effect3: While this card in the graveyard, you can remove it to add one 'Ancient Gear' monster from your graveyard to your hand. Nice recycling, and combo effects. You can't choose Cog for a tribute with his ability, so he needs to stay as long as possible to continue using it. And a free Special summon without activating another card. It's pretty nice!!! And given the current day, FOUR YEARS LATER, and Ancient Gear has now gotten more support, this can help bring it into a higher tier.
Viable options: Arcana Force, Cloudians, Dark Magician, Poker knights, could be very interesting. Maybe you could take it one step furthur and try to make your own Archetype?
I think it'd be interesting to hear your opinions on these old videos. This was 2013 before Links (or Pendulums?) and I'm curious if you think some of these thoughts would still be good, have been power crept by real cards, or would still be meta? I think the relic would probably still be good. Your first trap card would be a bit slow.

Dimensional beast wolf Lv 4 , dark , beast 1500/1500 Once per turn during either players turn You can banish 1 dimensional beast monster in your hand or deck . If this card is banished , banish 1 monster on the field . Reply if u like the idea .
I would definitely love Dark Scorpion support. They always had a good theme, but no good way to execute it. And the supports they had needed Don Zaloog to do anything useful. They need some stun support (much like Trap Stun), some search power for Don Zaloog (and cards related to his leadership), and some summoning support to put field presence. for their effects.
I played ancient gears for a while (now i play a pendulum shadow paladin deck) but what i found i thought worked to help give some speed was be contributing to there slowness w/ other slow cards!!!! Like i ran a double summon and 2 mage powers w/ a axe of despair. I also found that gave some speed but not enough so I threw in one of my fav xyz cards. number 88: gimmick puppet of leo. that helped the deck to much because i just loved to the point where i would play my friend and i would crush his dragon master night deck. (yes i know we play old decks don't judge the older the better) so if u do add speed i say u would need to change the deck as a whole because then it would conflict itself yes older decks where slower but they could also be the stronger ones....... tell xyz and pendulums came out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really like ancient gear power plant, and ancient gear relic. i run ancient gears myself and i always get crushed at my locals by pretty much everything . The support we got besides gear town and ancient gear castle is a absolute joke. i had a idea for some ancient gear support: Ancient Gear Sniper 1700atk 1000 def effect: When this card is normal summoned you can add one ancient gear monster from your deck to your hand. Once per turn you can discard one level 5 or higher Ancient Gear monster to target one card your opponent controls and destroy it. i think its pretty balanced , Your going -1 to attempt to destroy one card once per turn. fiendish chain, effect veiler, skill drain are still cards people use. plus its helps the dead draws which Ancient Gears are famous for. (no geartown your screwed)
konami is going to release support for gladiator beast, darkworld, koakimeiru, scraps, more for madolches, gustos adn hazy flame buut nothing for crystal beasts :(
I think Deity should restrict the Battle Phase, like only one monster can attack, or it can't attack, or you can't have one. That's what Konami (Trollami) would do...
The xyz one seem a little over powered and could be a little unfare how about u pick it'd deffents or attack and the u pick one of your opponents monsters and depending on if u picked attack or not say I picked attack its 3500 had his attack 1800 u would subtract it from the damage so he'd take 1500 damage and same with defense but used use those stats because its attacks 3500 if the also had stong monsters and u had an equip card like luck axe or what ever first popped in my head you'd have 4000 attack and u could just use it as a one shot I now people are gonna say it takes 2 lvl 8 but I know people who can do that on their first turn and if that would happen there's only few way to get out but I don't think most people cary the I'm most decks or hard 2 draw or should be limited and big eye unless I have enemy controler in had that what u just give the middle finger back
Here's one I made Ancient Gear Spider Lvl 1 Tuner 100 Attack and Defense If your opponent controls a monster and you control none, you can special summon this card. Once per turn, you can target one ancient gear monster you control and the level of this card becomes that of the target. You cannot synchro summon the turn you resolve this effect
I am glad you did this. Ancient gear is my 9th favorite archetype. I wish those cards were real. If you were to make 5 more I would support the Dragon one (can't remember how to spell the name) Ancient gear was the first archetype I actually played but they never seemed to play very good. I think a problem was that they needed to be more fast and consistent.
This new video idea is something I always wanted to see I like making new cards or support for decks I enjoyed this very much and look forward to the following videos. love you guys

Cool cards, but I think with Ancient Gear Deity should also have the effect "This card cannot attack the turn you activate its effect." or something like that. It seems kind of overpowered if the card can still attack that turn.
ancient gear cycle i believe shouldn't be a quick-play spell card, because then you can activate it on your opponents turn. or just add an effect that makes you only activate in your turn.
As an Ancient Gear player what we truly need is speed. We are slow as chilled molasses and on our best day we are as fast as thick syrup. Geartown only helps so much, Cyber Dragon only delay your opponent at best, and Ancient Gear Box, the newest Ancient Gear mind you, is such a fail that the only thing it could ever bring out to your hand is another Ancient Gear Box or an Ancient Gear Knight. The banning of Future Fusion hurt our speed tremendously as we now have to rely on something like Power Bond to bring out our boss the Ultimate Ancient Gear Golem. Plus we have no real way to draw cards or recycle our monsters / engines like most meta decks can. As far as another deck you can discuss, how about the LV monsters? Those had potential but they just stopped.
I find it funny that depending where you lived Ancient gears did make somewhat of a come back in a couple forms the one I built and turns out others had the same idea was cyber gear which gave the gears the speed they needed in the form of the cyber cards while allowing them to build the board they needed to know a mother fucker out.
Also heroes aren't dead I made a hero deck its op it goes on a lot of win streak but I wish the normal monsters had a bit more attack and its real fun piss off people with mole my friend used his intier hand 2 summen a monsters don't remember the name and then sent back and he had nothing for rest of the game and one more thing I for got this cards name ill ask later its says to summen and it banishes all cards on filed both players hands and in both gravers so everythings banished and it had 4000 or 3000 don't remember and I lost and punched him in the face and looked it up wasn't banned it was on dn I had 2 run to his house
last comment now, ancient gear golem is in the spotlight as you need it for ultimate ag golem. you aren't gonna get a meta deck based on golem alone. you need gear town and gadjiltron.
Yes the ancient gears must be pushed into the meta game. They do it with practily every thing else so why not the Ancient Gears. They need there time to shine!!
My only question is, Ancient gear cycle, does it count as a special or as a normal summon in rulings if this were to be added(hypothetically). If it was a normal summon, the card could actually be rather broken, as it would get around Ophion and Shark Knight.
Actually ancinet gears are as old as cyber dragons, both of the archtypes were introduced in the first episodes of GX. But I do agree that it would be awesome if they made support cards for the AGs, since they even included them in 5ds. You mantioned toons at the end of the video, funny, all they need in my opinion is toon ancient gear golem XDDDDDDD (it was used in GX anime)
well my friend listen to this. in the booster pack Primal Origin there was a leak and rumor that Ancient Gears will be getting support.
