In this video we will show you the largest and ancient well of Pakistan. This well was constructed by Sultan Ul Hind Sher Shah Suri in his reign in 1541. The giants along with human took part at the construction of this well. This well was constructed beside the Mori gate in Rohtas fort. This Rohtas fort was constructed as a military garrison therefore the large size well was constructed to the numbers of large army keeps in mind. When this well was settled than the army troops drank water from here. This well was constructed with the help of cement after trim big stones. The human thought intellect remain surprise to see the construction of this well and human forced to think that how installed this big stones here? This stepwell is called big baoli. The water is also present today in this well but the tourists who come here do not take care of cleanliness and throw garbage inside it. The well is 270 feet deep and 300 stairs made inside to descend which are also present its original condition today. 4 big arches and 3 small arches are present in this well and their width is till 40 feet. A vast stair with width is constructed after 10 to 15 stairs so that the persons who bring water can take rest. The son of Sher Shah Suri settled many people inside Rohtas fort in which Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs. They used this well for long time and today an ancient and deserted temple is also present beside this well. The Gurdwara of Sikhs Chowa Sahib is also present in front of Talaqi gate outside the Rohtas fort. The tombs of Sufi Saints are also present today inside and outside of Rohtas fort and said about that they did as spiritually work for the construction of this fort. It means that the Sufi Saints worked from giants spiritually. In fact this was a unique construction of that era and people surprise to see that. This is one of the biggest well of the Subcontinent. You should visit once in your life in this historical Rohtas fort and this Baoli.
