It's really rare to see packs of Ancient Sanctuary opened, and I always liked the Agents as well as the Egyptian themed cards from this set. Awesome opening!

A set with very few worthwhile cards in the long run. Where do you even get an unopened 1st edition booster box from nearly 20 years ago these days? Are there places that stockpiled them and still sell them, or did you just keep hold of it for that long without opening it?

Ancient Sanctuary is sort of the black sheep of the DM era because it came right after Invasion of Chaos which was the most powerful set of the era and just before Soul of the Duelist which introduced Ultimate Rares. It's more underrated than anything and had a lot of fun cards for old school decks. Agents in particular are a fan favorite deck that has gotten modern support over the years. I also thought Zera the Warrior was pretty cool for its light and dark paths.

One of worst sets, but actually after enemy controller and zaborg, third best card is king of the swamp but overall bad set, probably not worth opening, but card that i actually need from that set is soul abosrbing bone tower for my weird goat zombie deck.
