Steve is and has always been the real MVP! I loved his response. “I’m too old to fight for us..” She flippantly said, “I dont want you to…” All right lady, keep that same energy when this shit blows up in your face…

Miranda was so heartless about her affair. And showed zero remorse whereas Steve came to her physically ill with regret and guilt the time he slept with someone outside of marriage. That Miranda flew away from her marriage - literally and figuratively - with such joy in her heart… wow. That’s so insensitive of her and very uncharacteristic of the Miranda I had enjoyed and respected. (It was also incredibly bizarre to see Carrie and Charlotte give the bombshell of a divorce announcement all the gravity of hearing Miranda’s grocery list. That’s how you know these new writers just don’t get these characters.) This whole storyline is unfair to Steve and not in a way that seems legitimate and authentically portrayed. It seems false, forced, and hollow. What’s more, from a writing perspective - the new writers really missed an opportunity for the kind of heartbreaking drama that could have been there. From their perspective they made it look like an easy choice - hot passionate sex with Che or boring marriage with sit-on-the-couch, doddering, forgot-how-to-please-a-woman (some new kind of sexual dementia?) Steve. They forced Steve into becoming a boring, prematurely elderly, sexless old man and thus made it too easy for Miranda. The more authentic, conflict-filled option would have been to make Miranda still very much in love with Steve but unable to deny this brewing attraction to Che. I would have enjoyed seeing her struggle with this new awakening. It happens in marriages. But I don’t think it happens in the dumb, lazy way this show presented it. SATC really put us through the emotional wringer at times. Like when Carrie refused to marry Aiden. Even though she was destined to end up with Big, they made THAT choice a hard one. A heartbreaking one. Most of us would have loved a man like Aiden, yet we could fully understand the draw of the “big” love, so to speak. That was emotionally legitimate. This thing with Che - it hasn’t hit a real note since this reboot began. Miranda, we fans gave you as many years as Steve did. We divorce you along with him.

Miranda tells shay “go to Cleveland “ like shay was going to cancel the trip for her… what world is Miranda living in?

Let's face it, they are turning Miranda into Cynthia. Giving her the same life as Cynthia has in real life. I really like your channel!

Looking back, there were glimpses of this weird deluded side of Miranda, but they were very brief and provided comedy. After she broke up with Robert to be with Steve, she was convinced Robert was still in love with her and was all breathless and dramatic when Steve was going to confront him. Only Steve immediately realized Miranda was way off. This is basically the tone of her whole relationship with Che. And once again she is wayyy off base 🤣

I felt so bad for Steve! But everything Steve said about her ups and downs were true. She treated him like he was disposable during SATC countless times!

It's lazy and unimaginative writing to project your life onto a character like this. So many better story lines the writers could've explored with Miranda. This is so frustrating.

And can we please be real about one thing? Che is not “nonbinary”. Che? Is a f*ckboy. Textbook.

She doesn’t listen. In the first movie, Charlotte tentatively asks Miranda if she is sure she can’t work it out with Steve to be shot down. Even Carrie admitted she had kept a secret from Miranda for months about how she thought her leaving Steve was a mistake. You are best friends with somebody and you don’t tell them something like that for months until it comes out in an argument says a lot. I can see why they would hold back their true thoughts and feelings. I think it’s funny how Charlotte, the one believer in true love and marriage, just gives up and tells Miranda it’s her life.

I knew it will end in tears for Miranda when Che said she can’t give her anything traditional and Miranda looked so drunk in love that she could barely hear that important disclaimer.

Also the way Miranda asked for the divorce and left to chase Che. So she’s leaving Steve to tell Brady? SMH Miranda has a right to be happy but she’s failing to show concern or respect to her entire family.

Speaking about growth, I don’t think Carrie had any growth in the past 20 years. She presents as very immature.

If Che really had such strong conviction about being a home wrecker she would have asked the appropriate questions. It's one thing when a person doesn't care but Che said she pretty much took pride in being this so called " moral" person!!

One thing about SATC is that no one has ever gotten away with infidelity. Carrie was punished for an entire season by her conscience for cheating on Aiden. And in Season 1, when Samantha slept with a married man, she wanted it to be just a fling but he ended up leaving his wife for her and she was super freaked out and ghosted him. I don’t think she slept with another married man in the series. So I hope Miranda has to learn this lesson, because that’s how life goes, and SATC was always realistic that way.

With all the free therapy we can get online/social media for free these days, I'm shocked that Miranda, of all the characters, would be SO NEEDY and desperate to move onto an affair without any alone time for herself to heal from the divorce! Been there done that. But I guess Miranda has to learn the hard way. She was probably so focused on schoolwork and working at law firms, she may not have dealt with her issues or childhood trauma. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Cynthia Nixon is a lesbian in real life and they wanted to write her into the series. This is why her affair with Che seems so forced and awkward. They made her an awful person. It’s just bad writing.

Ans let's not forget Carrie was wearing that dress when Big walked into the hotel and she looks up and say Hi, before she bursts out crying (one of my favorite scenes) so maybe her memory is tied to Big instead of Petrovsky. OK. We agree with you regarding Miranda’s acting foolishly/recklessly when it comes to her new relationship with Che. She’s acting giddy like a school girl. But, are we forgetting Steve cheated on Miranda in the past and cost a breakup in their marriage? However, Steve’s settled down at this point in his life and did show remorse when he had sex for one time only. Miranda on the other hand, wants Steve and her to part ways amicably. Something tells us this reckless, unexpected visit to surprise Che in Cleveland may not turn out the way Miranda expected. Che told Miranda she was in love with her but she never said they were in an exclusive, traditional relationship. Miranda’s so excited by the sparks/excitement she feels with Che, she’s not thinking logically at all. 🤷🏽‍♀️

It really is Che’s fault for assuming about Miranda. Che’s in their mid 40’s that’s too old not to be asking questions in the beginning. As the saying goes, assuming makes an a@@ out of you and me. If they were that concerned about being a home-wrecker they would have cared from the very beginning IMO.

I completely agree with her about Carrie's dress. It's not about the fact that it's a beautiful dress. It's that the scene was meant to bring up some nostalgia for us, the audience. And we only associate it with her being stood up and mistreated. If she's going to bring out some clothes to trigger a cool, nostalgic moment for us, why not one that we associate with a great, fun memory?

This isn’t growth. Miranda has lost her damn mind. She’s having a midlife crises. She’s always been responsible and level headed and now she’s going crazy.

Carrie suggested that Miranda talk to Che and she chose to discuss a serious thing outside of Che's office as they were in a hurry to catch a plane for a business trip... it was just so stupidly written. Even an email exchange would have been better than that.

That dress is too beautiful and too expensive to just get rid of it.

Long story, short. I would like to add that Miranda is changing. She went back to school to change the direction of her career and she still has a very poppin social life. She was trying to hold on to Steve through trying to match his energy somewhat by NOT dying her hair, being at home eating ice cream on the couch (that was their thing) and denying her own sex drive. The lesbian relationship is a part of her doing something different. She tried to operate in both worlds at the same time but discovered that she couldn't. I think she is trying to re-live her youth by denying her current status. She is also losing her her motherly instincts through her irresponsible behavior. Reference the scene with her son knocking on the door while she was pleasing herself. Steve doesn't even want to work with her on certain things. He is VERY selfish, and so is Che. Che is not off the hook either. She never discussed or even thought of Miranda's husband so she don't get a pass in that park scene. Che is younger with more options. Miranda will stand to lose on both ends. They are both representative of youth vs. old age. A battle that the only way for Miranda to win is to walk away from them both and just do her.

oh its a given that miranda will find out or walk in on che with another woman because from what the fans said che gets the thang thang in every city they go! and if miranda didnt catch that tea then that shows how much of a fairytale she is trying to live in. Miranda needs to be alone and by herself because she relied in steve to make her happy and now she is gonna do the same thing with che. miranda needs to find herself.

They are doing their job, it's got everyone talking. That was the point.
