Exactly...."oh Aiden, remember that guy I slept with when we were dating, and then I begged you to get back together, said yes to marriage, then screwed you over". Please...I hope that he doesn't fall for her again.
It’s like all the characters became socially stupid and unaware. Carrie I can understand, but Miranda? She literally became everything she tried so hard to not be, especially with her cheating? Like come on
Because there is no Samantha. And BTW, after marathon of SATC, Samantha always was right about outcomes for relationships. She could read each of them better than they could read themselves... and she knew men....
Season 2 looked too crowded with too many people of color and queers. Without a strong plot, the show just look like an advertisement for a political campaign.
What do I want to see? Che gone. Miranda realizes she’s been an idiot and apologizes to Steve. Charlotte and Harry to smack Rose for being a little brat. Did I mention Che gone?
What I'd like to see: Miranda actually interacting with her son in a meaningful way. We got that with Charlotte and her two children, but never fully understood Miranda's relationship with Brady. Would be nice to see her become a nuanced character again, whose storyline branches into other areas of her life (motherhood, career, etc.), and not just rests on her relationship with Che.
1 thing id like to see in s2, is Miranda realising she fucked up with Steve and wanting him back, and for Steve to turn round and say NO, it’s too late and that he will always love her but he won’t take her back after the way she treated him. It would be hard on Steve to that but he deserves some dignity!
I don't like Che, I think doesn't work well with the show. It's so annoying how they were trying to do representation but it's just bad. Why did they made it seem like Samantha will come back when she doesn't want to? Also hope that Carrie treats Aidan better this time.
So many thoughts about this passed season 1) I hate how you can tell what sort of people wrote this. What makes things weird is the way the characters and even che’s podcast it’s all so just like “Omggg PC culture!!1!1 can’t say the wrong thing or I’ll get cancel!” But like no one is thinking that your making it weird bc that’s all you’re talking about is having to say the right thing 2) Miranda has been so unfair to Steve and so hypocritical! To drop her whole life and family for someone who won’t even claim you as their gf? If Carrie did that she’d have a million things so say! 3) they have the characters act waaay too old for their ages. Like none of them are 60+ can’t even get a senior discount but Steve can barely hear and Carrie is pissing the bed? Come on now
God, please no more AJLT. I stuck with it because of my love of SATC but the constant ham-fisted attempts to diversify the show was just a cringeworthy box-ticking exercise and Samantha’s absence left a huge hole.
They should have left it in 2004. I guess it's just a cash grab. I can't exactly blame them, I suppose, but jeez it's awful. Kim Cattrall was so right not to join it.
@@Dasani_water_drinker I believe it’s just a short phone call with Carrie that KC filmed completely separately. Sadly, she’s said in a couple of interviews that she has no wish to return in any more meaningful way - though of course there’s a chance she might change her mind, I guess.
@@ddraigmafon4725 i dunno. Haven’t heard any details other than what she said on the view 3 weeks ago. She said she demanded the writer who wrote her in STAC to write her for this appearance otherwise Nope. 🤷♀️
The character of Che Diaz is beyond parody - as are most of the other new characters that have been introduced to meet artificial quotas of diversity. SATC worked because it was both FUN and funny and fashion focussed!!! When did we expect older women to not have fun anymore? Why can it not be more positive - return to the days when we could all enjoy watching 4 friends living in an exciting city, supporting each other and enjoying life. The wisdom that comes with maturity is fascinating - the scriptwriters are betraying women by making the characters stupid and vapid. All this show really needs is a new Samantha that the other 3 can bond with. Then the others can fade away ( except Anthony, because he is awesome!.)
As much as season 1 was disliked why a season 2? Do a Dallas & make the season a dream? I agree with most of the points in your list Che, however, has to go
Hope this time they do the SATC characters right. Like Cynthia Nixon (nothing like Miranda's character) If she wants to have LGBT awareness, she should do it with other new characters and also not do Steve wrong!
The leaving the door open things applies to both Stanford and Samantha. Like Stanford cannot return and it wouldn’t even make sense for him to causally never see Carrie again not even on face time. And for Samantha, why keep making it seem like she’s coming back when Kim has been VERY open about how she would rather die than be part of that show. Should have went with the idea of Samantha’s cancer came back and she passed away instead.
Kim is NEVER coming back.... EVER lol. Stanford dropping everyone would never happen. They could have had him pass away tastefully and done a tribute to the actor but the writers are so lazy they just have main characters 'move away'. It's nonsense.
Can you blame Kim Cattrall for not coming back. The first show of Season 1 was all I needed to see to NEVER want to watch this new reboot show. Frankly surprised it's still on.
Well i guess i stand corrected...kinda. She's coming back for one episode but she won't be in any scenes with the girls. I'm thinking it's going to be her face timing someone for like 90 seconds. I'm also kinda just assuming that this will be the last season because it isn't making people very happy lol. They probably paid Kim a ridiculous amount of money so they can use her to draw people back in and possibly close the book on SATC. Honestly, good for her, with the way she was treated she deserves to get paid.
Such an annoying episode. Carrie over compensating for Buger being a weasel. "The I don't say fabulous fabulous shirt for the most fabulous boyfriend" probably the worst lines ever written.
I have got to the point I hate using that word. But if there was ever a time to use it, it would be while watching AJLT. If I didn’t love SATC so much and want a little bit of redemption for the last season I wouldn’t even watch season two. This show was nauseating and hardly watchable. I like to pretend it’s a weird menopause dream of Carrie’s and it ended with the movies… or maybe even the og series. Man, that show was perfect. Why ruin it??
I know damn well they not putting Carrie with Aidan again. Isn’t he married with two kids ?? It’s bad enough they brought Big back only to kill him off.
I want them to stop shoving the woke agenda down our throats. I want to be entertained, not lectured. I want to remember SATC and all the joy it brought us by watching AJLT. I know Kim isn't coming back to play Sam and I am saddened by this fact.
I would like to see Miranda’s gynecologist have to explain to her that her unexplained itching may be the result of Che’s Dorito habit and that her “comedy concert” has also likely caused her vagina to become depressed. Miranda will experience an epiphany - that Steve taking the time to wash his hands before feeling her up during the “dessert ritual” - was in fact, “the truest expression of “love.” Unfortunately for Miranda, Steve will have already hooked up with the hot young daughter of Miranda’s former lover, “Dr. Robert.”
Is it necessary to bring Aidan back? Now that Big is gone for good, looks like there are no 'obstacles' for Aidan to be with Carrie, but why would he want to give a third shot to a relationship with a woman who broke his heart twice? A fresh story with a completely new man would be a lot more interesting, like the hot guy Carrie kissed at the end of season one. Anyway, I'm not even sure I'llwatch the series at all. The first season really ruined some characters I loved, like Miranda.
Well, quite honestly, it makes sense. Aiden never got over Carrie. We see this in the movie in Abudobi. Why would Aiden have to leave his wife for Carrie? It would make sense they inevitably divorced.
Seriously? Someone is looking forward to the Season 2? Season 1 wasn't bad enough? I even forgot about this TV series and couldn't remember what it was about until I saw Carrie in the video!
Since no formal charges were ever brought from those sex allegations I’d love to see Mr big brought back! Carrie was having a bad dream. Cancel culture 😡
I want the same, for this to be a bad dream and Big not be dead. Why have Carrie run around for 10/15 years in love with Big for them to finally get married no obstacles and then he dies! I’m a black woman and I loved the way the show was not what it has become. The show can still be they way it was with them embracing their 50’s and having awesome experiences. Please take the show back to the way it was😢
I bet they're paid sh$#. There is a writer's strike in Hollywood right now. One of the original SATC writers was actually out protesting and posted photos to her Instagram. This series is probably like every business right now - out to make executives rich, not necessarily to entertain the public, or provide a livelihood for its employees.
@@_tardigrade they're not done yet, they still have I'd guess about a month worth of shooting, because they just recently started filming the last two episodes.
No, on the Che impression. Her character was corny, with a boring, over-woke, narrative. The whole season was cringe; the acting, the timing, the purpose…just bad. I’m watching season 2 solely for Aiden. Solely for Aiden. ♥️
And Miranda - like a lesbian. They should make her say that she was overwhelemed by Steve's ilness and she thought that those bad feeling were from the marriage and her sexuality, whereas they were from her worries about Steve and her fear that smth happens to him and the thought of losing him hurt her so bad.
I hope Miranda gets dumped by Che and Che is gone off the series. Miranda than tries to come back to Steve but he has a new younger love interest. Miranda is once again single. The episode with Charlotte and Lily having her first period was waayyy too much information. Too many new characters introduced in the first season creating too many story lines that are not complete. It is like Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda each have a new friend. Closure for Stanford. He was loved on the series and keeping his character going is not respectful for the memory of Willie Garson who played him. Stop trying so hard to make everything happen at once and make all audience happy. Simplify and focus on a few story lines a episode.
How about more of Brady? His mom literally treated him like crap and humiliated him at Big’s funeral. I would never want to go near my mom again if that happened to me!
JUSTICE FOR STEVE!!! che must go!! abs hate her... yes... HER!!! and i want to see more stories!! i want to see more brady! more lily! perhaps carrie's sister!! we know she has a sister from carrie's diaries!! trey would be fun to see without his mother, now dead!! i would like to see granparents tho!! if we are now talking more and more about family, we should consider grands.
How about Carrie coming out of the shower the day after Big's funeral explaining season 1 was all a nightmare?!? Otherwise, I won't be watching! I didn't even watch all of the first season, cancelling my HBO Max subscription! House of the Dragon had its moments that weren't so great, but at least their diversity/inclusion business was stitched better! The saddest part is that SATC had one of the best finales ever in a series! From there, it was downhill, including the movies. I didn't think I'd like Carrie's story, but I figured I'd like Charlotte's, Miranda/Steve's, and the only thing the movies did decently in getting Stanford with Anthony. It was truly a nightmare past the funeral...
Ugh, Che is the equivalent of the empty lost vessels creating their own fullness that is 2023. Look at me! Me! I matter! My sexuality! My gender! Me! Me! 😂 can’t wait for them to cut the character.
I woke like this show to stop pandering to this woke agenda. The way they are trying so hard to hammer it in is ridiculous. Just tell us a story, we want to see Carrie find love again, give us a show about true friendship
Same!! Love them both! Actually like them more than the rebooted original characters. Miranda, Carrie and Char are ridic now, but the others seem normal and nice!
I did see all of the hiccups with this series too!!!!!!!!! It wasn't the smooth writing that we are all used to viewing, but the producers stepping all over the content/context of what was written and what they were trying to convey!! It was TOO MUCH at times!!! There were DISCONNECTS, etc. But, as long as the 2nd season comes and it's not just CLIPS, then I'll surely purchase this 2nd season as well!! I LOVE this franchise, no matter what!!!!!!!! Still loyal and faithful to the end, probably!! I'm curious to know why are they bringing back Aiden??!! The wheels are turning in my mind!!!!!!! I agree with the commentary of this video, INDEED!!!!!!! They HIT all of the right points in question!!! I mean, I'd love to see Aiden again, but I'm just trying to figure out what role is he going to play, now that he's married???!!!
It didn't work because the original premise has past. They are all pushing 60 and not 30 something singles anymore. That's what made the initial show interesting and fun. What next SATC in the nursing home?😂
What we all realized with the first episode of AJLT was that Samantha was actually the heart of SATC, not Carrie, and the new show is a constant, sad reminder of that
We want the real characters, not this ridiculous diversity agenda. We want Che to be gone from the series and Miranda to be the Miranda of SATC and to be at Steve's side.
