He was a Scot born in cannada, if one is born in a stable does that make one a horse, these fake LANDS OR NOT LANDS, all SCOTS THAT DIE IN A STRANGE LAND , THER SOUL COMES HOME AND HE IS HOME. SAOR ALBA GU BRATH
I know now we won't ever see a reunion, RIP Bruce, we also now know the reason why youse guys retired. The best that ever was, may you rest in peace Bruce, mate
One of the best days of my life. Surrounded by friends and family and great music. Thank you Runrig and fondest blessings Bruce, May you sing with the angels.
Only started listening to Runrig about a year ago and now I really wish I had found them sooner so that I could have experienced them live. From what I have heard they were absolutely phenomenal during their concerts.
I was at the final concert in stirling in August 2018. A phenomenal concert tinged with emotion. They were a national treasure but hardly known in England. I attended one of their concerts in Carlisle most of the audience crossed the border from Scotland that night.
@@FLPhotoCatcher They did a few small tours around USA but were never destined to become famous over there. Around half of their songs were sung in Gaelic which is the ancient Celtic language similar but not identical to Irish Gaelic which is why they never caught on there or in England. However it is a different story in Europe and Canada where they have to this day a huge following. Germany and Denmark are their biggest followers, even heard their music played in Greece of all places. Their former keyboard player Peter Wishart is a member of parliament down in Westminster England.
It's with profound sadness that I let everyone know that Canadian singer Bruce Guthro from Scottish band RUNRIG has passed away after his Battle with Cancer Sept 6 - 2023
Runrig - a part of my life for around 3t music filled years. Thanks for the times my heart was lifted, thanks for the times my feet danced themselves to the tunes, thanks for the times my tears flowed to the flow of melody. Thanks, and enjoy your retirement!
Amazing band, seen them 21 times, never been disappointed, truly life changers. Thanks for all the great times, met some great people along the way too. These guys will never give it up, they send too many powerful messages out that hit you straight in the heart.
1 week almost to the minute since we left our last dance with you in Stirling. Your music still fills me. Thank you for everything Runrig. Runrig SING Forever.
Hi Kilted.. The one memory I have of the last dance at Stirling that will give me a lump in my throat till I die is the fans and Riggies singing Hearts of olden glory as Malcolm cried in the wings!!! What a swan song!!!!!!! Cheers.
I only got to know the band through my father's Danish friend. I've been hooked ever since. The last Blu-ray they released arrived here for me (Brazil) 2 months ago. What a hell of a band!
Ich hoffe dass dieses Lied das Letzte In der Kölnarena 2018 ist... Dann werd ich zwar aus dem heulen nicht mehr rauskommen, aber es wäre schon irgendwie passend... ❤️
They sang Hearts of Olden Glory at the premiere of The Last Dance video in Glasgow, so I did see their last ever performance. And i'll never forget them.
And we’ll Sing and we’ll Sing …of the Ties that Bind Forever We Will Sing…thinking of my Scottish and Irish Mum’s and Dad’s…lost my Irish Dad Billy Law.
