What a phenomal band i am welsh and first saw them on the uists when they first started.i was hooked, and with Bruce they were the tops. Saddly Bruce has crossed the river and is going home. RIP.
TEars streaming as I listen to Bruce. He transformed them in so many ways. Not getting into the Donnie/Bruce arguement but what a magnificent Front Man and MAN he was. Long Live Runrig and RIP Bruce

I never saw them either but a long long time ago I was walking around the very quiet streets of Lochmaddy in N. Uist when I turned a corner to see the two MacDonald brothers walking towards me. I smiled and one of them said hello as they passed by :-)
Hi from Australia. Runrig is a truly phenomenal band and social phenomenon. Its longevity is both amazing and justified. Donny and Bruce brought beautiful soaring voices to some of the most eloquent songwriting. The songs are just wonderful. I watched a video of them performing in Frankfurt and the Germans knew the words to Loch Lomond !! I would have loved to have seen them live. What a throughly fantastic and memorable band.
I still can’t believe Bruce is dead. We are so lucky to have these great memories of his great performances. I get chocked up every time I listen to his voice.RIP BRUCE 😂😂
Was there with my daughter in Copenhagen for their final concert on the continent. Loved it, but also my daughter did, she was brought up with it! This is the old time favourite of all bands. Shame they stopped, but fully understandable, after 45 years!!!

Still can't believe Bruce is gone. What a voice. Runrig will live on and hopefully one day will come to Cape Breton and do a concert in memory of Bruce.

I think it‘s quite possible that Blair Douglas (who had left the band „ages“ ago, and MP Pete Wishart, either had other obligations, or did not want to appear and keep the event to the band as it stood the last 17 years.
remember playing this in the old FBI pub in Kyle,now a shop😢 waiting for the ferry to come in and take us to Skye before the bridge was built.great times and an outstanding band
