Didn't go the cheap route with the motor, they used the supera zr motor which is the better motor, and 90 minute run time is plenty, put it back on the charger when lining up..
Don’t get me wrong, I WANT cordless clippers so I can keep up with the Jones.I just can’t convince myself to pay 2x the price just to not have a cord and have more freedom of movement but yet have a limited battery runtime, doesn’t make sense! Right now for my situation for cutting in a barbershop I have no need for cordless other then the cordless effect. If I was mobile yeah I could see the use. Until we stop paying top dollar for the same product that’s already out they will continue to make a killing off us. Unfortunately corded clippers will be killed off because they are not making the huge profit off of it, almost like how the car makers are killing off cars and forcing trucks and SUV on us.
I've always been a Master guy myself. I forced myself to use the cordless Senior cuz it was the best cordless clipper on the market. I did like the corded FX880 so I loved the GoldFX as soon as they came out. I did the blade slide mod that everyone's doing and put the Master blade on the GoldFX and lemme tell you.. I fell in love with the GoldFX all over again. The FX880 and the GoldFX felt familiar because of the indents on the taper even though the throw wasn't as far as the Master.
Too loud. I loved the master for the silence and the magnetic motor. It’s kind of sad that caliber can put a silent cordless magnetic motor in their 50 cal. But Andis couldn’t put it in the cordless master?? Considering Andis is a bigger company and more money to work with. I feel they will come out with a second gen much silencer in the future
@@justinmcclain1934 that's facts. It seems that mine just slow down a bit and then die. Which honestly I'm afraid of ever having that happen again so when i see the light I plug it in 😂. Still a bit over a hour and a half
@@shahee6579 nope they are great right out of the box. My set up is a wahl 5 star shaver, andis slim line li, magic clip (for fade blade) andis envy li (for master blade) and a tomb 45 razor. Fire set up!
Yea agreed on pretty much everything you said, including the comments on the babyliss with the price. Too long of a wait for such a disappointment. Smh. I expected this to happen. I still stick to my corded ones. They are whisper quiet and handle bulk great.
For $300, you're really paying for the metal housing and name. This is just another cordless rotary clipper. No difference from any other cordless clippers.
@@Beatbyawhiteboy I'm not totally Against cordless clippers but 300 dollars and if you use them a lot there only going to last a year Its not worth the money!
The rotary motor probably is more efficient. Magnetic motor produce more heat meaning they use more energy. A larger battery would make them heavier and hotter. I'm sure all these factors were factored in and tested.
Every cordless clipper that’s retails for over $80 has a better rotary motor and bigger battery... magnetic motors produce more heat because of the speed it moves the blades causing friction and heat, this is why people switch to the ceramic blades.. but the new masters are rotary so it doesn’t produce much heat and so the battery could have been much better.
For the price of this clipper they should’ve include some guides & combs... it’s a nice clipper but it’s kinda noisy... I have the one with the cord 15 years now
Your 100% right on pros & cons my opinion I don't think is worth it they should of came hard with these with better build after competing with other cordless brands and include the magnetic guards....
Lift our profession man. Got to know the difference between there, their, and they're. It makes us all look less than we are. If you want to get the guys who're gonna cough up forty or fifty bucks for your work then get some respect.
I really need those Andis Masters but I must've missed my chance to comment on the Gram. Some old guy with Road Rage played Demolition Derby on my 1999 Two Door Tahoe. He didn't have any insurance, so I'm stuck trying to fix it. It's my only vehicle so I could use the look out on the Andis Master Clippers. Thanks in advance for even reading this comment.
Harris Vallejo check out abel_the_artist on RU-vid. He has a video on how to mod your blade slide. Essentially you can do it on any clipper. I did it to my GoldFX.
Those are the coolest binoculars ever! She is so cute. You are blessed. I really like these clippers but I think I will stick with the corded ones until the price drops.
Been using the Master cord clipper for 45 years and only 2-3 sets since I began! Love them but they get hot and are heavy. That said I want cordless but concerned about longevity. Was using Wahl cordless edgers but had to buy new every year so went back to corded. Trying to decide; Wahl senior, Babyliss or Master cordless. I also have Oster 76 which I like for certain things.
Awesome review.. I just got these in the mail yesterday and know i could come to you for honesty....... I also have a question for you Chris... I purchased an Andis masters (original) from Sally's ...super expensive .... Brought it home and a screw inside was broken in half in the engine and rattles and sallys wouldnt take it back.. So I called andis .. And they actually shipped me another new andis masters original... AND THAT ONE DOESNT CUT AT ALL!!!!!!! How do I get these two BRAND NEW CLIPPERS FIXED.???
Glad my guy explained the difference between the modification too. Was about to do that on one of my wahls...i can save my money now b.c. i need that extra throw for cleaning up the fade. 🙏
these companies need to get barbers like you to R and D their products before release, so basically your saying babyliss is the way to go 😂😂 keep dropping videos
Should’ve came with a removable battery. I use my corded masters all day long, I want these but if I still gotta use the corded masters most of the day, I’m not sure it’s worth the money
Jason the low level RU-vidr they are definitely worth the money! The $300 price point is now $199-$225 on most online beauty supply websites. Also you’ll never cut one head with the same clipper for 90 minutes and with the charging station it makes it convenient to recharge while lining up or finishing a haircut with another clipper. These joints will last you anywhere from 5-8 hours with a two clipper rotation during your work day. I highly recommend them and I haven’t used Andis Masters in over 3-4 years.
First to comment... I been following you and a few Tomb 45 fellas... I appreciate you and the team giving necessary info for quality barbering... Salute to you and the team... Would go for the giveaway, but I don't have a Instagram... Keep the knowledge from the game coming...
I’m sure a year later you agree they do have the crunch. Maybe they just didn’t have it on S craft because his hair wasn’t sick enough for whatever reason. But they definitely have the crunch
True true true, you said a lot of truth for the wait I would expect better then the babyliss pro fx clipper. But It does sound loud I dont want to buy another $300 clipper like the wahl seniors but still open to try it 👍🏼
Great review man. I never used the Andis and I am really curious how they behave . I kind of want to have them all lol. I think the charging stand alone si worth over the wahl (hate that wahl you have to plug them all the time) but again since you develop those wireless charging adapters might not mean much. I think battery life is important to American barbers as you guys are predominant clipper cutters, however in Europe I never got to deplete a wahl ever .
$300 and you don’t get any gaurds in the box is unacceptable for me. I think I’ll stick with Wahl Senior and Magic Clips cordless as it sounds like your not getting anything extra for the additional cost versus Wahl. Just my opinion.
Hey bro, I have a question.. I love the color enhancement I got from you. The only problem is that my clients says it washes out after they shower. I tried applying more but not overdoing it so it doesn’t look too fake. Any advice to help me out keep the enhancement atleast 3 days?
Looks like s trophy in the charger. Is it as quiet as the OG corded masters? I’m interested in buying but... Maybe generation 2 will have the improvements you were talking about🤔
I’d rather drop the 300 that it’ll cost me on the charger mat system by tomb45 thats innovative not only that I don’t need another clipper I need my already hitters to be charged all the time
Apple d riders and super mad at that apple comment 😂😂. Glad you look into the details. I care only about the specs and how they work together as a whole.
I cant see spending that much but i know scissors can be $100 and up as well. I need a quieter clipper for my autistic son but ive yet to find a perfect one.
@@angelmatos844 lol still too much imo. Kinda find ot hard to believe that andis will ever replicate a cordless version of one of the best clippers of all time. Just a another cordless clipper that was titled "master"
Dope clippers the teeth on their blades though are the cheapest blades I ever owned even the ones that you buy separately, original blade broke within a week then I bought a seperate set from Andis brand new broke first day all I did was flick the purple magnet guard off with my thumb the tooth came right off along with the guard tf??, the blades go for about $25 way to much for the quality of those blades
They didn’t do all that because they’ll make another one with all of that for more money watch it’s about making more money just like apple iPhones come out seems like everyone 6 months
Exactly. Apple is ridiculous.. I've been noticing that for a long time. Andis and Wahl don't even want to include their best guards. They want people to buy them separately. It's all about making more money. smh! Wahl Cordless Magic Clip is all I need, and it gets the job done. I don't see the point of the cordless clippers that are over $100. It's not going to make fades/tapers look better.
BRO!!!! $300..... REALLY... Andis is buggin with that price. 90 min run time and it heats up. I’ll wait till the second generation comes out to see if any improvements have been made.
