Andis reVITE is NOT GOOD 

Great review Reg! You shouldn’t have to do anything for a new product! It should work as is or else it’s garbage. I respect your view. I have an issue with the old clipper manufacturers, namely Wahl, Andis and Oster. They think because they have been around for decades that, they can put anything out and we should buy it immediately. The newer manufacturers per conversations with other Barbers, listen and try to incorporate the end users ideas in their design, put out for testing, tweak and then mass produce. I get the feeling, this is not what these older manufacturers do. It’s like a , “build it and they will come”, attitude.

I always look forward to your reviews. Your honesty is well received and valued..... I was upset because this review came out after I purchased the Andis ReVite and was getting simular results with the guards that you got.... but I agree with you... I do like Andis and wish that this was a little more powerful and used the purple magnetic guards. Keep up the good work

The problem is people keep buying so these companies will never change. And why should they? If the clipper has 90 minutes runtime, we buy two of them. We shouldn’t buy any if they don’t meet our needs and expectations. Corporate execs aren’t on RU-vid, they are at the bank and profits are up. Start voting with your wallet.

I appreciate your review of the Revite clipper. I’m a big Andis fan but has gotten more conservative over the years. I think I’ll wait on this one. Hopefully Andis will address some of the issues. Perhaps a recall for an immediate fix.

The MAIN selling point of this clipper is the flexibility of switching the blades from fade to taper and that is a problem... 2nd, its a different guard system, Andis most popular item "were" the double magnetic guards and they went away from the original 0 guard and those dont fit on this clipper. So either you use those Wahl "like" guards they come up with or the single magnetics.

Great review, no need to apologize, I heard similar reviews. It's like some some of these other reviewers are being paid or forcing themselves to like it. You should have to do any mods to make it work properly, it should come out the box working especially at that price point.

it is a doodoo clipper. Shame on Andis for not testing this clipper all the way through because a LOT of barbers have that SAME ISSUE. I'm returning this clipper and buying myself another Rebel or Boosted by Stylecraft 🤣

Great review in my experience I also have problems with the clipper I also sent you a video of the clipper blade closing when the clipper is on although I tighten the lever screw now it makes noise I think I wasted my $220 I bought from andis site

Man, thank you for saving me some time, money, and frustration. I was really thinking about grabbing these. I WANT to like Andis clippers, I really do.... but I honestly have never liked anything by Andis except their trimmers. I just can't imagine after hearing your thoughts that this is any good.

There has to be a way to adjust the release tension.

Blade falling off new clippers. Wow. I feared that some of these would have mechanical problems with the blades staying secure over time but I didn't see that coming at all. If I were a reviewer like you I MIGHT get it but all my clippers are tried and true before I buy them, thanks to you and a few others. The run time by itself is a con but even the possibility of getting one that will do this is just unacceptable.

And this is why wahl don’t make massive changes, you get it right first time you don’t have to do it twice!

Thank you for the review. It's sad how Andis and Wahl have let the newer brands take over. I used to love their stuff but they got too comfortable. In all honesty though, they probably feel they can charge $50 for the extra blade since Babyliss is charging about $50 for a trimmer blade. I'm not justifying it. I just think that's how all companies do it. They look at what people are willing to pay and then they test the waters. It's expensive.

Just got mine and was able to swap the blade with my wahl blades to my JRL fresh fade just out of curiosity. If you know what you’re doing and have old blades, just swap the blade and use the guards you like.

I’m not happy we can’t use the double magnetic purple guards and the blade pops off

Andis is still a brand In Pro Barbering?🤔The last Great clipper was the Slim line pro.I thought they sold the company after that,I mean after I bought the cordless T outliners..I just...nevermind.

Hey Reg… I’m not here to defend Andis or tear them down (I use the Master cordless) but I’ve noticed over the years with Andis, most of their 1st time products that they come out with are are never fully polished. Usually early adopters like yourself deal with all the flaws (think Master cordless) and then they go ahead and make the necessary adjustments. From my observation the Revite is the successor to the Andis Envy Li with some updates… (new body, new battery, removable blade) but basically the same blades, no charging stand and same SPM. Also, the Revite is $200 not $220 on Andis website. I’m sure they’ll make some adjustments (to the clipper and the price) in about a 6-12 months

Biggest takeaway from your review is that the blade fall off easily, I was willing to test them out, give them a chance but nope, whatever the clipper can do, blade falling is a no can't do.

Fx3 clipper does the same thing far as the blade falling off

I like mines. The blade popped off a couple times so I’m a little gentle when closing the lever. These make me appreciate my bevel pro a little more because the blade doesn’t pop out but I still like the revite ability to quickly switch from andis taper to fade blades when my other regular masters need to be charged

Andis could have threw in a stronger motor and detachable Master Blades instead of their cheaper blades.

Such a shame. The clipper looks pretty cool and appeals to the younger barbers coming up in the game. If it ran abit faster RPM & had more power it could be a big contender just purely on the ergonomics alone. Shame they messed up so bad. The whole blade falling off thing is an embarrassment. I ain’t cutting client’s and having a blade fall off onto them who ate paying good money ❌

I can't fib I want my money back. You forgot to mention they are loud as well. Really the corded masters are the best clippers Andis has made and they are quite. All the cordless clippers are loud loud loud.

I bought these clippers..when you using it with the cable it's way stronger than using it without it..🤦‍♂️ probably if we can put a different battery 🔋 in it. #Tomb45 make it happen 💯

This is a good quality consumer clipper. Is given the best of both worlds the the general people. Eventually they will come out with a professional use. Andis know what professional is and they are not going to destroy their flag clipper for this ….

Andes should head hunt Babbolous and Gamma employees right away. Especially the people in design and research. Anyone designing these clippers gamma and Babelis they should pay them double quickly. Because the worst pair of gamma clippers are better than any of the Clippers minus the masters.

Another swing and a miss by Andis. It's too bad, especially knowing this is the company who once had the best corded trimmers, the best compact cordless trimmers, the best guards and arguably one of the best taper blades. I think they should of spend all that marketing energy & budget on developing a good clipper vs going the gimmick route.
