Cassian gave Nemik a foreshadowing message at the beginning of the episode "You'll sleep when it's done". Also "Climb" were the last words of K-2SO before he died in Rogue One. Awesome episode and reactions guys! its really spectacular and breathtaking! cheers from sunny Singapore
This was an amazing episode, that Skeen betrayal has me questioning if he led the ex-stormtropper guy get killed, the extropper told Skeen to cover him while he tried to get the girl and Skeen went back in cover and stopped shooting while the guy was in the open, leaving him to get shoot by the same guy Skeen was shooting at
@@redtail4017 Equality means there should be no harm in using simple descriptions. No more so than saying the "blonde woman" for Vel or "the kid" for Nemik.
I was talking to my friend about this show a few days ago. They don't like it (said it's too slow, doesn't feel like Star Wars, blah blah blah), and asked me why I liked it. I just said it feels like this is the first Star Wars to be made for casual fans and not the hardcore fans. Like, someone who only watched the original and prequel movies would have no idea why Mando meeting Ahsoka and Bo Katan was a big deal even though the show presented them like they were (Mandalorian is probably my second favorite Star Wars show next to Clone Wars). Andor doesn't really rely on previous knowledge (other than the Empire is bad, but even then, they show you why you should be rooting against them). The showrunners do such a good job of showing not telling, and letting things breathe a bit. Anyway, you guys are awesome! I'm not much of a "reactor" viewer, but you guys are fun to watch and listen to! Keep up the good work! ETA: RIP Nemik. I hope they call your manifesto "A New Hope" for real. I don't care how cheesy that would be! lol
I think it's more (to me anyway) it's star wars for adults. Everything else in star wars is always really sanitized for general audiences and to be honest, for kids. Here we have (implied) sex, our heroes holding children hostage, we have a philosophical discussion on the mechanics of fascism and oppression, shit that quite frankly is gonna go over kids' heads.
Honestly I feel like it’s Star Wars for hardcore fans. I love Star Wars and this is what I e been begging for for years. I’m not even excited for Mando-Avengers anymore. Keep pulling out the Adult Star Wars content Disney
Fun Fact: The son of that Imperial prick is the same actor from House of the Dragon. He was that Blackwood boy who cut down that other guy from a rival house.
I'm always intrigued when people describe this as a "slow burn." Not as much action, yes, but this show is a spy/political thriller, so that's more of what we should expect for this show / that IS the show vs. the heavy action set pieces, which will be rarer.
I mean tbh that was prior before this episode, I doubt anyone is saying that now. And yeah it is a slow burn, but it's a 12 episode season, it's going to be slow to build up. Worth it tho.
You can't trust a guy who says, let's split the money and get out of here, the moment those words left his mouth, he was a dead man. You just can't take a chance. Oh and lol, it's Taramyn, not Tamarind lmao (I think i hear you guys say that) haha. There are 12 episodes so the last 'arc' might be all 6? What's likely going to happen is that's when the Imperials, probably the ISB find out information and hunt for them. Now that Andor has his money, he can resume the search for his sister, which, Im afraid to say, is probably not going to end well - and in the process only solidifying his hate for the Imperials and making him a rebel. He'll go back to his thieving ways, but Skarsgard will find him and say there's one last mission...etc, etc. Can't wait
Early MAC squad reporting in ✨*Madison's hype hand gestures* let's gooooooo 🤙🤙🤙 this show just keeps getting better... this episode pretty much shows how there's winning that barely feels winning, more like losing. but they did it. can you imagine being the two chefs... they spend the day, maybe days preparing the food and drinks and they were probably so excited to start serving them only to be held at blasterpoint and taken hostage after all that work
Loved this sooo much. I'm pretty sure Imperial retaliation will include Maarva, (hope not but they got few targets to use their anger on, already showed ISB planning on the garrison, also it's a great excuse to strengthen their grip over the galaxy....), also he was seeking her sister since ep1., guess who's got connections to find her....(Luthen) And she might also be a Rebellion simp, we shall see. And in the meantime Andor got some reading to do.... I'm pretty sure there are some personal tragedy needs to push him over the line, maybe Maarva, maybe her sister. Or maybe not. Also the white haired ISB officer Lt. Meero will want to push for more info, the others like Lt. Blevin will want the hunt for themselves and deny her access for it, and my bet she will contact an information source they can't restrict her access to: the fired corp officer, with info in his head. He is an ideal target: can be a mindwashed, trully evil (i.e. dedicated) ISB agent....... Wonder if Cinta just walked out of the base, crying.... OR? She was quick to shoot the imperial engineer, if you look at that scene everyone had a shot at the engineer who was shouting "Let the boy go!", the rest didn't shoot, and not for the engineer's life Nemik almost died because Cinta shooting then engineer, he had his gun pointing at him. She is "stone cold and fearless" "determined" ie. full of hate/anger. But again she is also a healer. She might have even shot the family (hope not) before leaving and very likely shot the pack of soldiers (5-6+family) at the command post......But they were tied so could have spared them. From a bank heist point of view they couldn't cover their face, for the rest it wasn't a problem since they were planned to leave, but Cinta was planned to stay. And everyone saw her face in the command post (noone in the vault), so if she let them live she must hide. I'm not sure but I think she is from this planet, a native (she was teaching the language to Andor), who wasn't planning to leave. I'm wondering was it gold? Credit ingots of gold and silver is a thing in Star Wars, coated metals, I presume it was gold coated metal here as well: lighter, bigger, so a soldier don't get a tiny pure gold thing but a token sized (non digital) chip. What if Arvel Skeen wasn't a money hungry scumbag, only wanted to test Andor to tempt him to split the loot? And his plan was to take all back when Andor refuses, laugh and pat him on his shoulder, now trusting him more? Just imagine someone somehow mentions his brother later, Andor says he wasn't real then finds out nope: he was...... I disagreee with those saying Skeen didn't covered Taramyn properly. Before that he shot the first armed imperial soldier, then Andor shot Corporal Kimzi. Tamaryn made a run for it to free the pinned down Vel, Skeen tried to cover him, shot, he hit and killed his second enemy soldier, then got behind cover and multiple shots hit his cover. Nemik should have covered Andor, but failed (again shots hitting his cover), Andor was lucky it was a disarmed vault guard, still huge AF. As they struggled Nemik managed to shot him later, from his cover. Then Vel hit a pipe causing mist/cloud, and with that Nemik and Andor covering her she could run. Vel hit two vault guards, who were running and started grabbing weapons. So from Corp. Kimzi and 3 armed soldiers Andor shot Kimzi, Skeen shot 2. 1 were left and vault guards were arming as they left. He wasn't planning any let them die more for me", nor was he less brave then the others. Or had fear for his life not throwing it, similar to Vel, Nemik.... Of course 95% that he simply saw the mission ended, there is only 3-4 of them, with 80 million credits.... however it's one thing to think about the money, another to leave or kill the others with the help of Cassian. So the Rebellion rises.... got more money........ need to hide it in charity organisations, etc.... Hope Bail Organa will show up too (Even the young 14-15 y.o. Leia, who is by now a a junior legislator in the Senate for 1-2 years) ......This is how it all began.......
