I'd rather Andor S2 delay to get it right given how perfect S1 is than rush it out and end up with middling quality, or worse.

Well unfortunately for Mollie, the encyclopedia does not actually visually depict every character of note. Two of the main characters for Phase 2, Princess Xiri and Prince Phan-tu don’t have art of their characters. There are other notable omissions too unfortunately. I really hope the updated edition to release after Phase 3 actually gives us art of everyone.

Chirrut does use the force but he is not trained as a Jedi. He is a blind guy who can shoot moving targets and defeat multiple combatants in hand to hand combat. He also says "The force moves darkly near a creature that is about to kill" when Andor is about to go snipe Galen Erso. He is in touch with the force and probably could be a full blown Jedi if he had or wanted a Master. My SW best friend is Quinlan Voss. I think he knows where the party is and how to not get caught by the council.

I'd love for all the big franchises to have more time between releases

I hate to see it pushed back, but with how good the first season was I would rather see them do it right then push out a half done show

For me, Daisy is the highlight of the sequels. I love her and Rey so much, and I'm so glad we didn't have to wait almost twenty years to see her return as the character

My favourite thing to come out of the sequel era was probably Claudia Grays Bloodline. Leias story, and the politics of the galaxy that allowed for the rise of the first order were amazing

Q&A: Since we know that The Mandalorian Season 3 and Ahsoka Season 1 did had The New Republic being involved in the plot. Do you think the Skeleton Crew series might going to have some more tie ins with The New Republic involving with The Skeleton Crew like say the Guy rescued these Kids that were been captured or brought by The New Republic without any official citizen recognition as an example?

As a Whovian myself, honestly I'm not sure what my advice would be with the series. It IS something very big and intimidating, especially given how we watch TV now is very different to when it used to be more standalone (back in the original run for the show, it was serialised but all serials themselves were self contained, there's like one or two exceptions I think but they're deliberate outliers). The easiest advice would be to start with the first season of the show's second run, but you did that. I guess the only further advice I'd have would be that with every Doctor it is almost like a soft reboot each time, like you'll find Matt Smith, Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker's turns as the Doctor feel very different (especially the latter cuz she had a different showrunner to the other two, who in turn was a different showrunner to who wrote for Eccleston and Tennant). With Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor, it really feels like they're trying to do a full on soft reboot like they did back with Rose, the first episode in 2005, so THIS might funnily enough become a new ideal jumping on point. Russell T Davies is the showrunner again though (he's the one who originally brought it back with Eccleston and Tennant), so if the camp factor is too much for you, you might struggle in general, though. The upcoming debut episode for Ncuti's Doctor literally has a song about goblins eating babies, lol. That being said, I do think it's not so different to Star Wars in that regard - Star Wars always had very cheesy elements, it just probably hides it better because these are Hollywood production values, whereas the BBC has way more limited resources, so they kind of have to lean into the silliness a bit more. It's not a PERFECT comparison, and it might also be informed by the ages you first check this stuff out, but I do often find similar moments of Doctor Who fans rolling their eyes at sillier bits not unlike Star Wars fans because they want it to be taken super seriously.

Worth it. This is the last season so it can be 5 years as well. Gilroy said the reason to change it from 5 to 2 seasons was because he wasn't interested in "making a career" and his already peaked and is on the downslide... what a pity. But good that there's no risk of dragging the plot along. Though maybe that would've made more good stories in each season possible.

I'm foaming at the mouth for season 2, but I'd rather they took their time to make sure it's as good as possible. So I'll be patient. My friends will actively not watch shows until the whole series is done because they think it's bs that it would take two years to make a season. I don't think they understand how much work goes into a lot of modern shows like this or House of the Dragon. Modern shows take a lot of time. The only time I was ever irritated by it was when they made us wait something like a year and a half or two years for the second half of the last season of Breaking Bad. Idk if there was a good reason for it...but I remember being really annoyed about that.

Anime frequently put the characters who appear in the manga on the first couple pages with little bios, it can’t be that expensive to add two pages to a book

I do not think Chirrut was interested in using the Force for anything more than meditation, knowledge, and and basic self-defense in a violent and often hostile planet and galaxy..

The devisive circle of star wars life will definitely repeat the prequel trilogy was probably way more devisive at the time we just didn't have social media which makes it seem so much bigger but I remember full news interviews with fans who loved it and fans having full meltdowns on the street about how it ruined star wars for them

I think the difference between Chirrut and Sabine is that Sabine had a Jedi teaching her. Chirrut grew up in an era where the Jedi used midchlorians to measure who was worthy to be trained or not, so I think he never developed his connection to the force simply because he didn't have someone to teach him properly.

Baze calls Chirrut a dreamer, so I think Chirrut would have furthered his abilities in the force but had no one to teach him. Ahsoka could have taught Chirrut to be a Jedi for sure, because to be fair, she had already trained with Sabine prior to Sabine using the force in the series finale. And since he seems to have gotten farther with the force on his own than Sabine did, he is probably more naturally gifted as well 😮

My take on why Chirut couldn’t use the force but Sabine could is Chirut never was trained. He placed faith in the force to allow him to do things extraordinary but without a teacher he had no idea how to manipulate the force like a Jedi

I know wasn't a tought out and well executed plan the whole "Somehow Palpatine returned" but! As all Star Wars fans, I can't help but wonder about the concept of the Dyad and the what Palpatine knew of didn't know about it because during Tha Last Jedi Palpatine/Snoke alleged to have conected Ben's and Rey's minds but! Was he lying? Because if he was then it means he knew they were part of a Dyad(although I find it difficult to explain how he knew it) and it wouldn't make sense for him to be surprised during episode 9 when he realizes they were indeed a Dyad but if he actually didn't know as was implicit during the movie it wouldn't make sense for him to say he linked their minds togheter during The Last Jedi consedering that this kind of time and space conection only happens with Dyads wich Palpatine obviously knew about as seen in the book Secrets of the Sith. What do you guys make of all that? Is there a way to "fix" or explain this plotwhole? I know, I know, at the end it's just one the Rise of Skywalker many convolutions and rushed ideas/concepts...

Small correction-the Complete Visual Dictionary (New Edition) has information from the first ten films, as it was released in 2018. The Rise of Skywalker is entirely absent. It also lacks the cross-section art from the Visual Dictionaries/Guides, of course, so Complete Vehicles (which *does* include TRoS) fills in that gap. :)

I started with high republic books that audible suggested. First Convergence and then. Battle of Jedha. And I was just super confused. I found out I prefer one narrator and not different voices. After listening to all the thrawn canon books, I gave the high republic a second chance with Light of the Jedi, rising storm, fallen star and now eye of the darkness. I really love that I get to know the different characters and after your comment seeing the young jedi adventures episode helped, as I‘m a very visual person. Only negative of the audiobook was that Thompson used his Ar‘alani voice for one of the female characters and one sounded a bit too much like thrawn

For my generation - Gen X. ....Star Wars was and is so epic but at that time so great and then we didn't get anything until all you were youngsters and we just didn't get enough of the Skywalker saga and whst KK did to it is just disgraceful in the last 3 movies so Luke in the Mandalorian was just awesome leaving us for more....so Luke more than Palpatine, come on the same villian is boring verses the same hero!!

I like the first season, but I won't be there in 2025 to watch. Sorry, but to keep interest, the seasons should be much closer together; probably no more than a year and there, three(3) will separate season 1 and 2, it's simply way too long.
