I lived 6 years in Andorra when I was a kid. I have amazing memories from that time, especially in winter time when going to the mountains to ski. Thank you very much for sharing your video. It was great!
Wow.. Great... Can you tell me about andorra. If i get andorra visa then can i go any schengine Country from andorra...? Please give me some information about that....?
ʟᴜ sᴀᴅʙᴀᴅɢɪʀʟsᴄʟᴜʙ you should definitely visit and not just Japan or Korea but even China is very safe. Just don't listen to what fake media says about China cause people are welcoming and yeah great culture and food
@@nelothebluefrog5953 I'm actually planning a long trip to Asia next year cause I've always wanted to go to Japan but I'm glad you are telling me this! Can't wait!
rasty 210 spanish, Italian, Portuguese, San Marino, Monaco, France.Don't get me wrong I totally respect the way of life of those countries but I just said I prefer the northern countries.
Very nice video of Andorra. I definitely wouldn't mind living here as I love very small but developed cities with lots to do. I'm impressed by the tourism stats (10 million visitors annually for a country with 85,000 inhabitants is rather impressive)
Yes, that its, Welcome in Andorra, the only country in the world where the official language is Catalan one of the oldest countries in the world and the oldest parliament.
Small but mighty. Great to see western European tradition at is best. Europe is a small continent but offers a wide variety of beautiful places and traditions to choose from, no wonder Europeans are the least likely to vacation out of Europe:) Thanks for the video
Have been to this country, it's a nice place to live in. But I don't really know how they are handling this covid 19 pandemic crisis. I hope it has not affected their economy.
Thank you so much for uploading this. I lived there for 6 months and I miss it so much. It's weird seeing the streets that I know so well, it actually made me emotional haha! I even recognise the guy in the blue coat at the ski shop.
Amazing. Such a small country and yet, the blend of the beautiful and colorful city and the rolling hills and little creeks in the country making it an attractive place to visit. I wouldn't have known this place if I hadn't watch your channel today. Great intro.
WHO measures alcohol consumption based on this formula: alcohol production + alcohol imports - alcohol exports / total population of >15 years. I suspect that sales to foreigners is not counted as export so per capita consumption is skewed.
The people of Andorra don't consume a lot of alcohol, only the normal, they sell a lot of alcohol in their supermarkets and shops because is very very cheap there, the taxes are very low .
@@MrBenzcdi I think this organitzation never has been in Andorra and saw the milions of bottles of alcohol in their supermarkets full of foreigners buying.
Love you videos a lot in part of learning about fun fact of those countries. Speaking of Andorra, I mean who don’t want to live in this tiny country. It have least population densities, beautiful landscapes, and city streets are clean and walkable. Not to mention, I think it will be great ideas if you do videos compared those smallest European countries like Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, Monaco, San Marino and Vatican City.
I was there a few weeks ago: Great skiing! The Alpine World Cup circus obviously thought so too, as they held their finals there, after we had left though. It is certainly a lot bigger than Liechtenstein, San Marino or Monaco!
But neither German nor Italian is spoken, only French is common with Switzerland. I live close in Spain and I hate when people says my country is only sun and beaches, they forget mountains, deep forests and snow.
@@newhuskytwenty Wrong. German-like language is the most spoken in Switzerland. Only the south west around voges mountain range and Leman lake they speak French. There 's a small part where Italian is spoken too.
I especially like the part at the end where the commentator asks, would you rather live in a huge country like China, or in a small one like Andorra. I have a feeling most people of the world would choose Andorra. So let 7 billion people move to Andorra, it is so lovely there, and see how that works. Not a chance. Andorra was already bought by the rich.
I was in Barcelona in 1976 and planned to go to Andorra but had to hurry back to Britain for family reasons. I have always regretted that lost opportunity because I still yearn to visit the country that I read so much about and I now live in Australia.
Wow..great.. Give me some information about andorra. If i get andorra work permit visa then can i go any schengine country from andorra like Portugal, france, Italy.....?
Love Andorra! While living in Spain I would visit at least once a month just to browse or take a friend for a visit. Don't go on the weekend because the French and Spanish were coming for their weekly shopping and the place was quite crowded. All and all the people are some of the most gracious and friendly in all of Europe.
Lovely video. I'd prefer to live there. Low crime rate Chance to learn French Spanish. Beautiful scenery. Seems very safe, friendly people Ideal. Small population.
I visited Andorra for a couple of days in 1970. It was a shopping paradise, but at that time most of its income came from smuggling. Everything was quite inexpensive. However, we left by the only highway into France. The traffic was so heavy that it took us hours to go only a few kilometers. It was still rural back then with sheep herders blocking traffic. I’m sure it’s all different now.
Andora does have an Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport: La Seu d'Urgell airfield opened in 1982 but was closed to commercial traffic in 1984 and was used only by private aircraft until 2008, when the airport was purchased by the Catalan government and closed pending its redevelopment and reopening as a commercial airport.[1][2] In 2008, the Institut Català del Sòl (a department of the Catalan government) bought 85% of the airport's land to create Pirineus-La Seu d'Urgell Airport.[2] In 2009, a contract was awarded to Acsa Sorigué for the redevelopment work towards reopening the airport.[3] The airport reopened on 4 June 2010.[4] In the first year there was a total of 1,751 flights, with more than 3,000 people on board. An agreement between the Catalan government and the Principality of Andorra, located 12 km away, was reached in 2014 to rename the facility Andorra-La Seu d'Urgell Airport following financial investment from Andorra. And two railway station: The nearest railway station is L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre 10 km (6 mi) east of Andorra which is on the 1,435 mm (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in)-gauge line from Latour-de-Carol (25 km or 16 mi) southeast of Andorra, to Toulouse and on to Paris by the French high-speed trains. This line is operated by the SNCF. Latour-de-Carol has a scenic 1,000 mm (3 ft 3 3⁄8 in) metre gauge trainline to Villefranche-de-Conflent, as well as the SNCF's 1,435 mm gauge line connecting to Perpignan, and the RENFE's 1,668 mm(5 ft 5 21⁄32 in) -gauge line to Barcelona.[181][182] There are also direct Intercités de Nuit trains between L'Hospitalet-près-l'Andorre and Paris on certain dates.[183] I checked Wikipedia.
Nice vid and nice Country. I went there about 2 years ago and actually loved it that much i stayed an extra night. Very relaxed place, full of friendly folk and fresh air, what more do you need.
Wow..great.. Give me some information about andorra. If i get andorra work permit visa then can i go any schengine country from andorra like Portugal, france, Italy.....?
I would love to visit there someday. I don't know if I would want to give up my life in the US and move there but it would be cool to be able to visit and see what this small country has to offered. I never heard of this country until recently and it's on my bucket list of countries I want to visit before I die.
Litterally any country in Europe is worth visiting. Rich history and culture, Different traditions, tasty food, friendly twords foreigners people. I have visited Germany, Italy, Czechia , Hungary, Austria, Spain and Bulgaria. And it was amazing!
Wow that's amazing. The only country I have been to was Canada and I only saw a little of Quebec City. I would love to visit those countries as well as go back to Canada to see everything.
live in barcelona and went to andorra few times by bus, it is really nice place to enjoy wintery snow and skiing or shopping for high-end product like make up or perfumes because its 30-40% cheaper than barcelona
@@MrDick-qg8zx As much as it looks beautiful after sometime you will get bored surely and would yearn for a wider world besides you wouldn't have much job opportunities and starting a business would be very difficult and expensive.
I'd love to live in a place like Andorra. Since I don't (and can't) live there, thank heavens I live in a large country that has small places that look a lot like Andorra. 😎 The local skiing where I live is _excellent!_
So I assume that the dislikes are either: anti-Catholics, can’t eat pork, can’t ski, had their permanent residency revoked, or experienced a heartache, because I really can’t see what’s there to dislike.
I have always been interested to visit Andorra. I think it should be very civilized given most of the population is Catholic. I will be happy to be a tourist there. I am too old to be a citizen, as I am now 64 years of age.
It is just not for all. I would be absolutely ok with this kind of life style. Mordern people have become so addicted to the noise of big cities that they feel uncomfortable in such calm places like this one. Empty people, who need bread and circuses just to be filled by something from beyond. Sorry if i sound to grave. Anyway anytime you want you may visit big cities in Fance or Spain. Barcelona, for example. The real question is the job there. Not many working places, huh? Not for all occuations at least. But it is fine for travel business.
I wonder what the nationality of the narrator might be. His voice contains so many accents from east coast USA to Spanish and Arabic? I am a linguist who lives in Asia and Europe, so am very curious. Thank you.
Hi Alan. You're a linguist living in Asia and Europe, that's awesome and interesting. I speak english, german, portugese, spanish, some french and dutch as well. I wonder if you'd be able to guess my nationality if we'd talk with each other ☺
I have a good friend that lives in Ordino, just outside of Andorra La Vella. Beautiful county. The Capital is a great shopping destination from French and Spanish alike. Inexpensive alcohol and tobacco keep the French and Spanish border check points busy.
Andorra was created/formed in 13th century when rich people didn't need tax havens....and rest of those small countries hail more or less from same period.....so that makes your statement stupid and ignorant
