André Rieu playing before the Ajax - Olympic Marseille game

More than 50.000 elated people sang and danced yesterday with André, before the Ajax-Olympic Marseille game, to the tones of The Second Waltz and The choir of the Hebrew Slaves.It was an overwhelming success! Just as 15 years ago, at the game against Bayern München. Ajax, the Amsterdam footballclub, celebrated its 109th birthday yesterday. So even more reason to party.
The energy and the enthusiasm of these 50.000 people, all waving little flags was really fantastic. Right from the first tonesgoose bumps for everyone. I am glad to be coming back to the Amsterdam ArenA on September 5th, with the Schönbrunn Castle, said André Rieu.

Very rare do you get an act that can unify an entire football stadium with both sets of fans joining in, I remember in 2003 when Celtic were playing Liverpool in Glasgow Gerry Mardsen got both sets of fans to join in the singing of You'll Never Walk Alone, this performance from Andre is just as good, if not better, well done Mr Rieu, this was outstanding.
