I would agree but I'll say he used to be more like that. I wouldn't describe moder Canelo like that. But the Canelo from Mosley all the way to Callum Smith, for sure. He literally fought diferently every single fight.
@desanctisapostata I agree I think his mobility is deff going. It is what it is it comes with age and is to be expected but he should know that and adapt . I think he really needs to be undisputed at 175. It'll cement his greatness.
I'll say this. Canelo looked great. He still has the best chin in the game and he definitely adjusted. There's a clip out there I believe the 7th or 8th round , canelo had the killer blow but he smiled and let munguia finish the fight . That's class

Benavidez scared of 175, for the longest 175 been clear only has had 2 mfers beter and bivol with titles if he is as good as he says all he has to do is fight two guys and become undisputed, but he rathers money fights at 168, bena has no footwork no defense

Canelo is properly adjusting his pace and way of fighting in accordance to his age, thats what youre supposed to do, you cant fight like you did years ago. Although id still like to see more head movement from him.
That's why Crawford has so much respect from the real boxing fans. He doesn't let you go the distance, he closes the show the way a great fighter should.
CLENelo gets knocked out in Dec./Jan. when they make the Crawford fight. CLENelo going to get buzzed by Crawford, then jumped on and ripped apart like a hungry wolf.

Canelo would beat the brakes off Crawford at 168. It would be worse than people seem to understand. If that fight were to happen, I'd put money on canelo getting him out of there within 2 or 3 rounds simply to save him the embarrassment and pain he could inflict on him. All it is is a money grab.
If you look closely. Ofcourse Canelo will beat all of them. All pf them he CHOOOSES to fight. And let's be real, we all know he chooses his opponents because he wants to prolonge his career while he's on top n milk that cow as much as he can while avoiding the actual dangerous fighters that pose a real threat to him. Vergil won’t be a contender until he beats Tim tszyu, some one that’s acclimated to 154 would be jermell or fundora, Vergil and Crawford are both coming up so if they face each other neither one of them would be fighting an acclimated fighter. Crawford can beat his next opponent and go after jermell. If Vergil beats Tim he can go for fundora and then the fight between Crawford and Vergil would be huge.
I think he was carrying him because he was very respectful if he would’ve disrespected Canelo, I think Canelo destroyed him. That’s how professionals work.
That's not how professional fighters work. Canelo beat him all 12 rounds and Munguia tried his best and it just wasn't enough. Canelo hasn't gotten a KO in his last 5 fights now. He's just slowing down, age gets to everyone.

Canelo dont need to fight anyone anymore to prove he is a legend. He even said. Every time someones says now fight this guy and that guy. Hes already proven he is a great. He doesnt need to fight Benavidez. He said he just wants to enjoy his family and money in peace.
Canelo reminds me of 1996-1998 Michael Jordan. He could still fly but he reserved his energy and knees n picked apart the fadeaway and all fundamentals making basic look fancy. I can’t hate on Nelo for this. I have to be honest. I don’t think Bud wins that fight but if he did it also wouldn’t be surprising. Bud is more versatile than Nelo. Slightly. The thing is if Nelo didn’t have power, I’d say Bud easy as long as he’s smart but he ain’t gonna be able to do what he wants when he wants. You best believe he’s gonna get a wake up call as soon as them hands lay on his head and they will lay. It’s going to be unavoidable to not get hit by Canelo and like Wilder all it takes is one to get respect. To be honest Monguia is a bull but he ain’t that smart. If it wasn’t because of Canelo he’d be out of there cold. He felt the power but kept on coming regardless of knowing he can get KO’d and his defense not being at par with Nelo’s offense. Very amateur. Crawford definitely knocks him out and so would Benavidez. You gotta put your pride to the side and be smart. This dude can hit and I suck in defense, let me box the best I can. Really is what happened. He wasn’t smart and Nelo made him look better than he is. Like the kid. He’s been able to overwhelm his opponents with quantity wildness but that won’t work with a true natural hitter like Benavidez who reminds me a lot of Tito Trinidad in the sense that their body doesn’t look like they can hit hard but they can hit harder than most people with muscles.
Benavidez think that he can hirt cannello but he will feel the power of cannello and he will be surprised like others,benavidez should be honest he want a payday .

I understand now. Crawford would have to make Canelo respect him. Bud would go in there and trade with him and that wouldn’t be good. It would be a dope show. I think Crawford CAN outsmart Canelo, but I don’t think he would have enough restraint. Crawford is a dog.
From my opinion Canelo didn't want to push his fullest. He wanted the fans to enjoy a good fight. And he respects jaime mungia for being a humble guy. If it would of would of been some he don't like ,like Charlo or Andrade,he would of gone for the kill. And if you compare those fights even with Jacobs you can see Canelo way more active and throwing more punches. Even with plant, Canelo wanted to finish him quick.

The excellent defense of Bivol showed Canelo can still be frustrated on the same level of his frustration while fighting Floyd. I see Bud being evasive while on the move & his counterpunching frustrating Canelo as well.

if mungia is lacking experience big time as you say, lets use your assessment to value charlos, tanks, shakurs, andrades, haneys, boots, etc. they all lack fights in their resumes/fights. Munguia has 43 fights, way more than the latter. shed more respect for the ones that trully go out and risk. this is whats wrong with boxing, inflating or hyping boxers with no fight experience. keep the same energy sir!
Burlanga will get smoked. Dude is mentally not right. When I saw how he reactex to 10 rds over 4 flights he couldn't deal with it. He lacks a level of emotional intelligence. That can damage a young fighter. His people need to be careful with him.
Benavidez vs Canelo is a 50/50 fight!! If David wins on June 15th, which is a tough fight for him, it can elevate the fight between him and Canelo to a rare height like De La Hoya vs Trinidad, Chavez vs SweetPea, Floyd vs Manny.

He was carrying he pulled a counter punch in the 5th are 6th and u only do that in sparring not someone u want to ko and through the fight he wasn't putting his weight into punches he had the same set up that he broke Sanders eye socket and u can see he didn't swing as hard. Its really hard to ko someone u personally know, i would go to other gyms to let out my punches.
We've reached the point that Canelo is underrated because we criticize him so often. Underestimating Canelo is only going to make him more dangerous if his opponents think he's lost it.
Canelo is levels stronger than bud. Canelo will destroy that man's career in one shot. Yall quit playing. Canelo will want to get him out as early as possible to save him the embarrassment and his legacy/career. That fight is an absolute joke. People who think otherwise are lying to themselves or simply not willing to accept the reality of canelos greatness and power. Especially when it comes to the size and weight class difference. Canelo would show him mercy, but if benaviedez gets the fight, best believe canelo will batter his ass all night.

Not as a fan of Canelo, nor a hater to Benavidez but his resume has nothing to prove for a fight with Canelo. I’ll just repeat what I have read earlier “ Benavidez is a weight bully, only fought prospects (except Plant) and also he’s been on 168 for 10 years and never fought anyone that was a champ or had a belt”. I thought about this the other day. I think Berlanga needs 4 MORE fights before Canelo to be successful, and hope he ages by then. So I don’t think it's ever going to happen. Saul does not want that smoke in his last fight before retiring.
everyone calls out canelo but don't realize he's more active, fighting much bigger guys, and been doing it for over a decade. So many fighters have came and gone during his career.

I don’t think the reason Canelo looked bad is because he was “carrying” Munguia. I think it’s showing the decline just like vs the 154 Charlo. Canelo knows his body. That’s why when asked if he’s ready for Benavidez he says “We’ll see”.
Canelo has already said he’s not interested in fighting Bud. The weight difference is too much. If he beats him, people are going to say he beat a smaller fighter. I think Canelo sleeps Borlanga in September and we get the Benavidez fight next year.
Terrence Crawford does not need Canelo to be an all time great. It's like saying Sugar Ray Leonard is not an all time great cause he never fought Michael Spinks, it just doesn't make sense. Crawford can stay at 147 and cleanup the division, or even move to 154 and become undisputed there, making him the first three weight undisputed fighter ever.
