Beterbiev stops Bivol!! I was completely sold on Bivol beating Beterbiev after the Canelo & Zurdo fights. But after his performance against Lyndon Arthur, I now feel his power isn’t enough to stop Beterbiev from coming forward, he’s vulnerable to the body & lacks the angles of attack that Beterbiev is a master of.

Honestly I actually think that beterbiev is the better technical boxer as well as having crazy power. His footwork, ring traps, shot placement, shot variation, jab work, and everything else is on point.

Bivol by decision..His iq is of the charts, better foot work and a master at making people miss and countering. On the flip side Beterbiev would definitely be the best challenge .

Bivol is a master at distance control footwork one of the best defenses in all of boxing great handspeed and conditioning to throw combination of punches for all 12 rds w/o tiring. He will beat beterbiev and win fairly easily imo.

Many boxers like to make it entertaining and so skillful when they fight. While arthur is direct and make is simple. And he did made joe like an amateur.
People gonna be confused when Bivol pulls out any easy 12 round decision like he did against Canelo. Beterbiev beats you with accumulative destruction....He will not be able to accumulate destruction against Bivol. When that plan fails he will be left with nothing but to box Bivol and we all know how that's gonna turn out. Bivol by decision. When Beterbiev realizes he is loosing every round, he may get desperate at which point he may get reckless and I wouldn't be surprised if Bivol knocks him down in the later rounds.

Fighters have to stop trying to use this "He punched me behind the ear" as an excuse. We all know what happens when you get hit there so as a professional fighter you're expected to keep your hands up/ hold the phone, move your head and defend from getting hit in places you can't recover from. Especially when you're facing a big puncher

When they get hammered and embarrassed they always drop "I had a lot of problems leading up to the fight". Beterbiev would've hit him at one point, and he was going to go. He could've had the perfect camp, be in the best shape ever. His chin would've been hit at some point and the problems before the fight wouldn't have changed his ability to withstand that power. There’s a good chance that Bivol will overwhelm Beterbiev with activity. Casual fans think better Beterbiev’s Power will save him, but the problem with that is that he needs to set in order to punch and can exploit this by getting in and out, not allowing him to set up his punches. I think it’s a pickem fight, But if it goes the distance, I go with Bivol all the way. He better catch the all early or it’s gonna be a long night.
Bivol vs Beterbiev. I dont think the promoters want them to fight because they make too much money on them fighting others. But Beterbiev is almost 40 now and it wouldnt be fair for them to wait 2 or 3 more years until he's over the hill.

It's normal to perceive or what looked like from OUR point of view that it was a tougher fight with Artur, but people fail to factor in the mental state he was in at the time of both fights, it makes a difference, something we can all relate to.

Smith had the wrong strategy with beterbiev, not that he'd win either way.... But went after the excellent inside fighter with aggression and beterbiev turned it on him! Now with smiths power, he should have made beterbiev pay everytime he came in. He probably would hurt him a few times and he would have still adapted and beat him, because smith isn't much of a boxer.....
So many in the comments say that since Beterbiev dispatched him more easily it behooves Smith to say that he's better than Bivol. But it's very common for a fighter to feel just unlucky and hence unconvinced, if he got hit early with a big punch that destroyed him; vs Bivol it was a different fight, he was beat convincingly during the course and left no doubt.

I like Joe Smith Jr. but he's not the one to ask about who is better between Beterbiev and Bivol. Against Beterbiev he didn't even know what hit him. It was so fast that he has no idea how good Beterbiev is. I do, I saw the fight! Beterbiev didn't even have to make any adjustments, he just walked right through him. Bivol is easier to judge, he fought him for 12 rounds. If that alone don't tell you who is the best you're wasting time watching boxing.
The punch that Beterbiev hit Smith with that stopped the fight led to one of the most underrated chicken dances. Give Joe a break, he most likely doesn't remember leaving the ring that night.

Artur hit you with a left and right uppercut then when he saw you doing the new chicken dance he layered a left hook with it to finish the 10 piece chicken nugget combo special. These are both great fighters but with very different talents. Personally, I think Bivol is the better boxer and has a better inate ability to handle exchanges, but the issue will be... does he have the power to cause Beterbiev to slow down his typical approach of relentless inevitable assault.... I don't think so, but I do think Beterbiev has an important flaw in his style and that is that he needs to reset after exchanges or attempted exchanges....this is where he will be very vulnerable to Bivol....Bivol has a very high fighting IQ and always attacks in the in-between flows of a fight....and since Bivol is a great defensive fighter he will get many of these opportunities. Beterbiev has never fought someone of Bivo'ls ability....they both have no fear.... but for different reasons....Beterbiev has just walked through everyone without a real test....but Bivol fights' knowing' he is the better fighter...he has been tested ... It will be a great fight... btw... I've fight fan for over 60 years.
I don't think you remember the fight ... at the end of R1 you've been kd... afterwards R2 ..two times more ..and timber. You've been lucky enough to not go through the 12 rounds punishment....

Bivol wins not even close he is a very technical boxer and smart boxer he is accurate and has one of the best jabs in boxing plus Beterbiev like Canelo is a straight ahead boxer has problems with moving fighters.
